  • They all want a part of what is perceived as the greatest Chinese Company ever. The problem they face is that they cannot invest in foreign markets. They can ask friends or relatives to help them buy, or they can move some capital down to Hong Kong or Macau and set up brokerage accounts (extremely difficult to do).
I have been asked many times if I would help them buy shares on my US account, knowing I could leave them dry at anytime. I have seen individuals pool their wealth together(setting up accounts in HK) for the sole purpose of owning shares.
This enormous pent up demand will soon trickle down to the markets. And since it's so difficult to obtain shares, they won't be selling anytime soon.
In the US, we have an addiction to FB. In China, they have an addiction to Alibaba and they all dream of owning shares.
