People can play with the price in the short term, but it's the long term metrics that matter most.
If you're a patient long, you appreciate a drop to bargain prices and use that as an opportunity to add core shares. You also understand that in the long run, a power generating company with multiple successful plants is going to trump any short term games. The more plants HTM successfully puts on line, the more cash it's going to generate. The more it cash it generates, the more opportunities it will have. The more opportunities it has, the higher the stock price will go.

You ask where the capital will come from, which is a legit question. However, HTM doesn't necessarily need to dilute it's shareholders to gain the funds. The company has cash on hand, an ability to leverage, and will likely nab partners to help finance the projects just as it has done successfully in the past. Yes, that means it won't own 100 percent of the projects, but HTM doesn't need 100 percent ownership to experience a boost in stock price.
The history of the Neal Hot Springs project proves all of this.

  • Please STOP with the spam pumping already. Nobody is stupid enough to believe your dozens of aliases are different people. In fact, by resorting to those tactics you are actually working against RVM by making owners of this stock appear incredibly desperate. It's totally unnecessary, given this stock is going to naturally jump in value once the mining operations are back in full swing again later this year.

    Longs...

It's a wise strategy for a long to sell some shares at over x2 their buy price, and then hold the rest core at ZERO risk to their own capital. Why risk your own cash, when you can play with the house's money?
Those longs are the only investors sleeping easily during the current correction - with no plans whatsoever to sell at these prices. They're waiting to reinvest the money they reaped at the peak and make buys to add core holdings at the bargain basement prices that are here now.
Bottom line here, HTM has been and will remain a volatile stock. But the fundamental truth about its future hasn't changed. If anything it's been proven now that HTM's stock price rockets when it brings new projects on line. It's why the people with the vision and forethought to buy in the 0.50s and possibly 0.40s prices headed our way are going to be dancing in the streets at how smart they were when those new production plants go on line at the end of 2015.

I don't think it's as much about manipulation as it is just a seasonal decline that is likely to extend until the 3Q earnings come out. This is the best time of the year to buy cheaply. Chart history shows the big gains typically occur in the 4Q-1Q period.

As a long, I'd rather the company use its limited cash reserves to complete new projects at the highest ownership percentage possible, which will bring long term stock price gains and stability.

This company is only 9 cents away from its 52-week low. Why? Because it raised $15 million in capital through an equity sale and bolstered its cash on hand to help launch new products? Because it's last earnings statement doesn't reflect the sales potential of its new products?
NovaBay is a company with existing commercial products, and promising new products about to be launched and R&D projects in the works. It just introduced Advanced i-LidTM Cleanser and landed distribution partnerships for NeutroPhase Skin and Wound Cleanser in several countries including the U.S. with prospects for additional expansion.
NovaBay also has a global Phase 2b conjunctivitis study underway with results expected soon.
This is not the profile of a company that should be nearing a 52-week low. It's why these prices represent an incredible bargain buy opportunity. Chart history shows this company's stock price never stays below $1 for long, and once the new sales numbers start rolling in, IMO this is going to be an easy x2 return on investment at these prices.

The real problem is that momentum trading isn't based on fundamentals at all. Longs are the ones who reap the major gains because they invest based on their belief in a product and management team.
If you believe in Multi-Stem and that it's going to be a viable product in the future, then current prices look great and you should be loading up the truck. Investing long in a product you believe in means current short term fluctuations in price mean little to you, other than presenting opportunities to add more shares on the cheap.

Can't believe the stock price went down on that news today...
These depressed prices are great for buyers like me though. IMO when all that cash starts showing up in the next earnings report, this stock is going to soar.

IMO, anything below 0.40 is an exceptional bargain on this stock right now.
The only reason for a penny stock like this to drop into the 0.30s after a private placement buyer showed faith at 0.42 is if investors believe its a BK threat, but that stock sale just gave the company the financing it needs to advance its promising new drug. And once that new financing shows up on the books next quarter, it's going to prove the reduced BK risk here and boost the stock price.
It's why I see opportunity here to buy a large core position the 0.30s now, with a plan to patiently hold that position for at least a year to get into the lower long term capital gains rates. Then I'll look for an opportunity to sell enough of my position to cover my initial investment and gamble with the house's money through the rest of the drug trials.

  • ...these prices are starting to become compelling again.
If you liked this stock at these prices on the way up, there's no reason to not like them now. The risk is exactly the same. IMO, this is a doubler within the next two quarters.
