1.71-1.72 will be the distribution for everyone holding as of the yet unannounced record date.
If you want the distribution, you can buy now and get it. But its a 1 time deal.
Ive been doing it a few more years than you but really, I don't ever keep up with a losing year.
Partly is I trade a lot in my IRA and secondly. I don't consider my taxable income when the gains were really earned. I rarely have losing years for tax reasons but I might for last year just because I took some zeros and overestimated my gains or something. Im going to go back over it before filing.
But really, I haven't felt great about my results for 12+ years now. I think I did a lot better in the earlier years.
Plus, I don't take as big risks as I used to and over time that lowers returns.
Value investing goes in & out of favor but I try not to pay much attention except as far as it applies to my individual stocks.
They kept saying they had all this real estate.
“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”
I will keep the loser on IGNORE and no longer respond to his BS.
The point, you moron, is I have made money repeatedly with TUES buying low and selling high.
Your bottom line is you bring nothing to the table and have never made a dime from your "facts".
The last cluster of insider buying and the presidents $6.5 million bet is hard for rational people to ignore.
But nobody ever confused you with rational.
So, you don't buy or short the stock, you don't make money off it. Why, exactly are you here if not for an irrational hatred of the company ?
Ive already proven at least 4 of them pumped MHCC into bankruptcy.
Send your check & skip the middleman.
They haven't made a decent ROE in how long ?
How many bidders will there be ? Would they sell it to Biglari if he was the only bidder at book value ?
I don't have a sell order in at $12. I hope for $14-16 but we cant get there with only 1 bidder and I have no idea who might be interested in paying more than book value.
My point was not so much as $12 but whatever they turn down, if they don't sell the company, the stocks going back under $10 probably.
Id love to see a robust auction, but I have no idea how to value it beyond book value, less the value of getting rid of any executives they might not need in the future.
Are there going to be 5-6 parties interested at over book ?
Im curious if Warren Buffett runs into restrictions ?
Also, the only other insurance company I follow is HALL and they have investments other than cash.
Litigation Release: Joseph Andrew Paul, et al. - SEC Charges Four in Fraudulent "Free Dinner" Scheme.
BLGO uses this same method of rounding up "marks" don't they ?
Would have thought it would be more.
Does Biglari make an offer ?
Their Liquidity and Capital Resources has been #$%$ for 14 straight years.
Their balance sheet has always been a train wreck.
Never having any material revenues while spending like drunken sailors tends to have that effect.
But the important thing here is insiders don't have to get real jobs as long as they can continue to find suckers willing to buy their junk equity/debt convertibles.
Some might look at the 52 week high and say gee, 32 cents is a lot less than 83 cents. But paid touts are paid to tout. Not bring up the facts.
