As interest rates rise, high dividend stocks become less attractive by comparison.
I will probably increase my position if it goes much lower.
Please, buy more. Show me. Ignore the last 15 years. Calvert is a hero; Give him money.
Wait, you don't want his shares either and you are selling ?
Interest does not mean a buyout.
But hopefully it will lead to one.
For at least $12.
I rarely own a stock mostly for a takeover but with PBY, I do/did.
Our directors and executive officers are entitled to participate in the Offer on the same basis as all other shareholders. Mr. Becker has informed us that Becker Drapkin Management, L.P. intends to tender an amount of Shares during the Offer that will result in its percentage ownership of the Company following the Expiration Date of the Offer remaining substantially equivalent to its percentage ownership of the Company immediately preceding the Offer. Mr. Bogomolny and Mr. Domenik have informed the Company that they each intend to tender a portion of the Shares beneficially owned by them. Our remaining directors and executive officers have advised us that they do not currently intend to tender Shares in the Offer. The equity ownership of our directors, executive officers and affiliates who do not tender their Shares in the Offer will proportionately increase as a percentage of our outstanding common stock following the consummation of the Offer. See Section 11
We only need to estimate what next years below market share issue will be at. Pretty sure it will be less than $420. So, Ive decided to tender some at $420 just because this is a stock that requires you to buy more shares every year in order to avoid getting diluted.
So the shares I sell will fund my future below market buys. If that makes any sense.
Problem is, taxes for my taxable account. I have an odd lot in my IRA, (not divisable by 5) which I guess I should just sell the odd shares. But maybe more too ?
I want to defer my gains in my taxable account for another decade or so if I can.
I guess we can hope he kills himself skydiving or driving his sportscars at 150MPH.
about flat in February, when most of the national retailers were hurt by significant bad weather, and rebounded to about 9% in March.
inventory turnover continues to improve. On the trailing five quarter basis, our inventory turnover has climbed to 2.6 times versus 2.5 times last year at this time. At the end of March, inventory was much fresher and more current than at the same time last year.
The average age of our store inventory has decreased to 4.7 months from about 4.9 months last year at this time.
expect to keep the momentum going.
Gross margin increased, sg&a decreased.
inventory up 8.6% to $223.4 million from $205.8 million a year ago. Additional inventory is in place to support our favorable current and expected future sales trends.
There's actually more upside here. (As compared to Michaels)
Except some nice savings when the west coast DC opens and more when more do later on.
If this falls to $12, I will have to dip my toes back in.
Probably share paid touts. MHCC has tanked really bad as it seems obvious they only exist to sell shares to patsies.
Same could & has been said about BLGO.
I guess its just a matter of how risky they want to be in regards to hype.
In all BLGOs years, they have issued dozens of PRs all sounding great but almost none of them required an 8k which means the news wasn't "material". Its just BS hype.
How long can thing company maintain an over $20 million marketcap when they have nothing of value except a hype machine ?
It would seem this would be an ideal terminal short. Theres just not enough volume for anyone to take a meaningful short position.
I don't short but Id bet my right arm that the share price will be 50-90% lower within 5 years. probably sooner.
(Adjusted for the next reverse split)
13 years never profitable. no likelyhood of material revenue in the future.
Ive never been a buyer at prices this high. My last buys were at $8.91 after selling at $14.99 previously.
Ive sold shares at $22.49, 20.00 this year. Nothing in 2014. 19.40, $18.52 and $17.49 in 2013.
Looking at the chart, it seems bearish that $19.10-19.30 didn't provide support.
Im not selling here but Im not buying more.
Insiders haven't sold any recently either.
I had hoped we would breakout above $25 but clearly it didn't happen. Yet anyway.
If I sell, I have to pay taxes on my gains from much, much lower prices so I would prefer to defer that as long as possible.
But, heck, I guess I will put a buy order in for around $13. I will buy more there if it falls there. I don't expect that but If I was smart I would have sold everything at $23+.
RCKY is still my 2nd largest position. And it yields more than any money market or savings account you can find. (Without hoops)
I have a 3% checking account but only on $15k and I have to jump thru hoops to get it. 10 debit card transactions every month.
But what do I know, Im just lucky.
I may have insulted houses of cards everywhere. BLGOs balance sheet is far worse than any house of cards.
But, Im sure "free dinner" stock sale sessions are being planned.
Convertible death spiral financing ?
DFA doesn't pick stocks, they own the market. And tweek it a little.
When I see Dimensional, I know it means they haven't done any fundamental work on the stock.
The Company's Governance, Compensation and Nominating Committee (the "Governance Committee") of the board of directors will make a recommendation to the full board concerning the tender offer. The members of the Governance Committee are all independent directors of the board.
Best I can tell, the Governance Committee is the board minus Biglari & Cooley.
