The difference was around 8500 more votes for Perdue who I was for although it wouldn't have hurt my feelings for Kingston to have won. Perdue's been a very successful businessman which got my vote. Sen. Nunn's daughter will be a tough candidate. I can't see MDXG being affected by whoever wins but I think keeping a Republican in the Senate is better for business.

Uggla signs with Giants. He can afford to play for free which is more than he's been worth lately. New expression: As lucky as an Uggla.

I'm not sure if the parity in the NL this year is the result of the improvement of farm teams, lots of good pitching or what but at this rate there will be a lot of tight races in September. I don't dislike the O' and in fact would love to see them win the AL East and stick it to the Yankees and Sox. I worked on the acquisition after Eli Jacobs went broke but not for Angelos. Our guys ended up in a minority position and went on to buy the Cards. The O's with Bill Dewitt as a majority owner would've been regular contenders.

Been travelling more than usual. I've never sold any and have added some. I'm trying to treat MDXG like it's privately equity and ignoring a lot of the back and forth on the this board. I know I'm going to own it until it's bought out, so all the short #$%$, speculation, etc. just becomes background noise and avoiding it keeps my blood pressure down. I'll be at the shareholders meeting if I can avoid a trip out of the country at the end of the month.

Uggla was an uncharacteristically bad acquisition and BJ Upton has got to improve massively to be worth what they're paying him. I guess what this year has proved is good pitching usually beats good hitting otherwise they'd be in the cellar. What do think about LaStella so far?

The technical term is they suck. My question is why did they wait so long to bring up Tommy LaStella? But back to MDXG, where's the candyman?

That's it. I have to throw the flag. I have been severely reprimanded on this board for introducing discussions of the Braves, which coincidentally will shortly be playing their home games near MDXG's corporate headquarters.
