    BOUGHT @ $14.9

When I look at a chart, I try to think about where this company fits in the economic cycle. Its products are consumer discretionary. No one really needs a pretty, high scale, luxury boot. But sometimes people want it, and when they have the money, they buy it. I think this economic cycle roughly coincides with 1996 and 2004, the point where employment began to grow with little inflationary pressure. Taking a look at the chart, you can see those were very good times to own RCKY. Further, I think management's plans will add more fuel to the fire. I usually don't buy companies with debt, but RCKY debt seems manageable.

The last Google fiber build out in 2011 stalled, resuming two years later. There appears to be another pause; however, Google doesn't have the luxury of pausing this time. Service providers are in a race to provide more bandwidth at lower prices. I think we'll see more Google fiber expansion plans soon. Hence the new facility and the insider buying.

I realize it's not fashionable at the moment to fall in love with retail, but the fact is that the consumer is in better financial and employment shape than in a very long time. Debt to income is low. Private employment is rising. RCKY is well situated to ride that trend because of its timeless styles aligned well with current consumer psychology.

Discounts are gone. Those chinos I bought for my grandchildren for 17.5 are now 28. If the pricing holds and demand rises as employment increases, we may be counting our money.

I see what you mean, but if you listen through the Q&A, you'll see they expect significant order pickup final Q approx 30-40% 2014.

maintaining current debt while repurchasing shares. Some of these expenses related to fighting for the contract will go away, replaced by lots of revenue related to helping out the transition.

I don't mean to be a hero, what with catching this falling knife, but I think this stock has been roasted a little toward the well side, as in charred. There were some problems with the quarter related to weather and client turbulence but overall revenues were up year over year. Higher interest expense and debt extinguishment got my attention. The insider buys at higher prices also got my attention. I would like to see a few of the VPs join the party. I'll keep this starter position for now.

Seems like too much money to pass up. Very nice one day move. Makes me wonder why the company cried wolf. I wouldn't by any means say the report was stellar. The stock still merits a long term hold if for no other reason than it'll probably get taken out within the year.

doubled position @ $13.5. Typical movement in this stock on a quarter to quarter basis. Sales are lumpy. Backlog rising. Margin healthy. The balance sheet does not suggest an increase in business activity, but this company operates "just in time" and so this could change pretty quickly. Trading at the low end of insider buy support area of $13.5-14.5.

Technology is leading edge; IBM partnership. No debt. Soft license/margin in what appears to be a one-off quarter and a plan to kick start those sales which could surprise next quarter. Continued insider buying around this price. They've got plenty of capital... I dunno, I put it to Mikey, and he said he likes it.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Not much has changed. The competition is well known for some time. No surprises there. The pipeline is the same. I'm gonna call this the Yellen buying opportunity. Perfect timing. The clock is ticking...only a few weeks left before take off.

    5% dividend anyone?

It does appear to me that by keeping the dividend, management isn't interested in a pie in the sky "bolt on" acquisition to jump start growth. Quite to the converse.

    Earnings report not too good

Well, Pa, I'm a happy camper again. Sales came in at the top end, profits, and work in progress and bookings still elevated. I bought a few when they issued that NT-10K and today a few more. This company is growing sales in an industry that is consolidating, and we know what that is a recipe for. So true considering that the board is over 70.

Is been a nice run, things still looking good, but those pesky little interest rate expectations are starting to rain on the parade again making this as good a time as any to lighten up on this scorching hot mamma. Still, a few catalysts remain. Long term, municipalities are recovering and will keep Willdan growing.

The rights offering got my attention - a positive. The technology looks to have a real edge. Worth a gamble.

okay, I'll bite...took a small starter position in PCTI @ $7.35. I like the first half weakness followed by second half guidance.

ESIO is the dog of dogs. The products might be great, but apparently they're very difficult to sell. The orders tend to be very lumpy, Mt. Everest to Death Valley lumpy...many years of development costs which may never pay back. And that seems to be where ESIO is today. Luckily the company has no debt, $3 cash per share and has a very patient angel willing to gently nudge it back to the next great lump of earnings -- unless patience is wearing thin. That could make for a nice quick return. So, a small starter position is appropriate. Will re-evaluate after the next "mini-lump" ETA December?
