What's with the out of left field (i should say right field, ahem) reference to Obama? Do you blame Obama when your wife or dog says "you failed to satisfy me again"?
For the love of god, how is this a 90 dollar stock? What other than wishful thinking leads you to that conclusion?
I'm sure if true, he'll leave with compensation that exceeds the lifetime earnings of most americans paid over a couple of years. By the way, how astounding is it that there can be an argument over the percentage return of the stock over 1, 3 and 5 years! Arithmetic not math!!
What's a jous, stupid?
Does anyone believe this support/resistance gibberish? You can't tell where a person is going to step next by looking backwards at his previous steps. If only stock investing was as simple as drawing lines. Useless.
Good post but I disagree with your conclusion that t.a is the way to go. The theoretical basis of t.a is just not true. I don't know of a single wealthy sock investor whose main technique is t.a.
The reason the drillers don't get the pe you want is a fundamental one. They are deeply cyclical and their earnings crash with the economy. I have written previously that the oil price of 2007-2008 was a bubble that went along with the bank fraud and mortgage bubble. You won't see oil at that level until "twilight in the desert" is a fact. We'll be long gone b/4 that happens. Yes Rig may be able to see 8 bucks of earnings but not for a very long time. I wouldn't expect more than that level.
Don't forget he wanted to give bonuses for their record "safety" year after Macando. Double unreal.
You are aptly named. Thanks for the update from 2008. In further breaking news, I used to be younger.
It sure looks like it's going to go negative today. I'n not surprised.
Oh my gosh, it's soaring 35 cents on a "earnings" beat and a proposal to reinstate the dividend. It's all over for the shorts. LOL.
Why is it fraud. Because you've been wrong? I've been saying this for months.
How can Rig be back where it was a couple of years ago? They had earning projections that were near 16 dollars per share. Oil was at 150. That was a huge bubble that was tied to the housing bubble and we will not see that again for a VERY long time. Why should this stock easily be 80? Nonsense. Earnings are nowhere close to supporting that price much less 160 in a "few years".
