rlbeard6734: I am glad to hear that no one is "bugging you". Posting at 1:24 A.M. must be less than 100% efficient. I myself will try not to post at that hour. I will also refrain from trapping bobcats at that time of night.

yeah, give those who bought all the new stock at 29 a short while ago a small profit.

On March 21 at 1:24 A.M. you posted about being eager to go fishing, pick mushrooms and trap bobcats as well as suceeding from the union. Perhaps at 1:24 A.M. you were too sleepy to know what you were doing. It's all on the Yahoo Finance website. Just punch in your name rlbeard6734 and follow it to March 21 at 1:24 A.M. Please don't be so paranoid about your postings. They are not that big of a secret. Let me know that you've found them. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for replying rlbeard6734. I do believe that most of the "red" states of our country receive far more in benefits than do the "blue" states. I.E. If Michigananders and Alabamans each pay one hundred dollars in taxes to the federal government, the government returns say, ninety dollars to Michigan and one hundred ten dollars to Alabama. That's actually how it works. I still believe that you and your fellow citizens who want to leave the U.S.A. and form a seperate country would be making a huge mistake. I hope you reconsider.

CLF's is currently up over 4% with the Dow and S@p down. Haven't seen this for a while.

With all the recent bad news estimates concerning the low price iron ore will fetch in 2014 and 2015, what will Cliffs cost to produce iron ore be in a few years, after the recent changes Cliffs has made, such as shutting mines etc.?

Yesterday you posted:"we should secede and become our own country, then we would'nt have to support the rest of the country". I know you live in Texas. And Texas is different in many respects from say Ohio or California. But that posting of yours has been gnawing on me. Why would an intelligent poster (and yes, you are one) make such a radical statement? I'm puzzled.

rlbeard6734: "you can say I twist things also". I have never said that. You have been correct about CLF. You think that there is more downside to CLF. You may be correct. It's gone from100 to 20. I'm betting it can turn itself around over time and at these levels it looks to me to be a buy. After all, it takes two sides to make a market.
Sentiment: Buy
1. If they recently shut down a Canadian mining operation, then less than the 17% of their operations I mentioned come from Canada. 2. Estimates for CLF's earnings for this year run from about 1.50 to about 2.70, and for 2014 from about 2.40 to about 3.40. Even if these estimates are fifty per cent too high, CLF will still be making money. So back to my original premise regarding Canada. You are correct about all the money being spent there. But I believe the( non Canadian) vast majority of operations will be sufficient to keep Cliffs going until such time as they can make Canada work well for them. Please, lets keep the subject of snow up in Canada where it belongs.
Sentiment: Buy
how can their "main part of their operations" be a mere 17% of the company?
46% of Cliffs operations are from iron ore from Michigan and Minnesota. 22% is Australian iron ore. 15% is from U.S. coal, virtually all of it met coal for steelmaking. Only 17% is Canadian iron ore. To read some posts on this board fixated on the Canadian operations, you would think that Canada is the main part of Cliffs operations.

rlbeard6734: the negative to getting natural gas( by fracking) is the polution problem Drilling oil (regular oil, not tar sands oil) is less harmful to the environment. I don't see autos in the U.S.A. switching away from gasoline, esp. with all the newer high mileage autos coming onto the market getting thirty something miles to the gallon.

At 1:43 p.m. today, Goldman Sachs prediction of Clf being worth 20 dollars per share was only six cents off. That is impressive, if it holds.

S@P today has a 30 dollar price target on CLF. That's one dollar above what CLF sold new shares for a little while back. At this point, 30 dollars would seem wonderful.
