If it's such good news then you would think the stock price would be green....right? The market is telling us what it thinks of this news.
"Next level of support is $1.94"....9/08/14
I've noticed the support levels are now getting tighter. First level of support is $1.95 and the second level is at $1.90. This could be getting close to a bottom. We'll see.
Granted,I might not be making a whole lot chasing pennies, but in time, those pennies will turn into dollars whereas with your method simply sitting back and waiting has resulted in dollars turning into pennies. To each his own. Hopefully, MM can start turning the tide. Good luck stk.
That is true.....TRMR,RUBI,FUEL are all way down. Now you can see why I have been saying treat them as a trade. If any of them were going to turn around you would think at least one of them would have turned around by now. Everyone of those stocks are at or are very close to touching their 52 week low.
As I have been saying for a while now, it is nearly impossible to compete against the giants of this sector....GOOG and FB.
I plan on buying some shares of MM for a quick flip if it dips to $1.86. We'll see if it hits tomorrow or Wednesday.
What would you call long term....6-12 months? 2-4 years?
Well, I'm sure there were a lot of investors who thought the same was as you 2 years ago. Any way you cut it (long term or short term) this stock has been horrible for the shareholders. My advice for the last two years has been to think of MM and VELT strictly as a trade. Good luck.
re: "Do you think the recent bump in FUEL on account of M&A in the adtech industry is going to have a similar bullish effect on the MM share price? One can only hope"
Well, that didn't last long. I see FUEL is now trading in the red. Figures.
That's the thing with these type of stocks. They can't sustain any kind of a rally. People are simply playing them for a quick trade. If you have noticed, MM can't sustain any kind of a rally either. It climbs a few pennies on the day only to have most of it given right back. It's sad to see it happening. Management needs to stop this bleeding. They need to throw the shareholders a bone every once in a while.
Good luck to all.
re:" just need to remind myself that if veltf comes back to real valuation , I'll be more than happy with my returns, so in that aspect it's good to diversify in case veltf never pans out for whatever reason"
Now you are learning. That was the point I was trying to get across to you from jumpstreet.
Take care Ed. :)
re:"Your comment highlights the investor problem for MM. Many don't understand the business MM is in."
You are correct tech, seeing how MM continues to set all-time new lows day after day, many don't understand the business MM is in. Once a company like a FB takes hold it is practically impossible to get out of their strangle hold. Unless MM can re-invent themselves and do it really soon, I'm afraid their days are numbered.
Good luck techster007.
re: "so is it an industry problem?"
FB just hit another new all-time high today.....$78.34, so I don't think it is an industry wide problem.
I think the problem is FB. The little guys of this sector(like all sectors) have always had a hard time trying to get a piece of the pie and now that FB is on the scene( went public last year), that piece of the pie just got even smaller.
GOOG and FB are simply decimating the little guys. I don't know what the solution would be to fix this problem. All I can say is pray HIPP gets bought out.
I would pray MM can find a base at the $2 level because if this falls below $1.90 the wheels will probably fall off. It wouldn't surprise me if this is at $1.50 by this time next week. Good luck buffetjr if you decide to buy here.
re:" I suspect MM will probably fall under $2 either tomorrow or Wednesday. Next level of support is $1.94."
Well, I see MM broke the $2 barrier. For anyone thinking of taking a position here, word of caution, I can see this falling a little more. GLTA.
re:"These guys are the leaders in setting new all time 52 week lows !!! "
I think MM is trying to give you guys a run for your money. Don't look now, but it would appear MM is about to set another all-time new low today. This will make it 5 days in a row for them. Ouch.
re: "Facebook value tops $200 billion on mobile ad optimism"
How in the world can anyone compete against a company like FB?
It is almost impossible. That is precisely why MM and a lot of the little guys from this sector are in the crapper.
As MM's saga continues (hitting new lows day after day), companies like FB continue their journey on the opposite end of the spectrum.....hitting new highs. I suspect MM will probably fall under $2 either tomorrow or Wednesday. Next level of support is $1.94.
I doubt people are going to take you serious after seeing the "strong buy" sentiment on your posts. Give us some reasons why you believe this stock warrants a strong buy recommendation?
re:"You're an amateur."
I'm an amateur? Who's the one under water here?
Good luck mk.
This stock continues to hit new all-time lows just about every day.
I would be very cautious buying at these levels. I see this going under $2 pretty soon. Good luck.
