You are a broken record. We heard you the first 200 times already.
I would be happy seeing how VELT took such a hit this morning and is actually trading in the green right now, I would think you would be happy, too. Relax. Turn off the computer and go for a walk. VELT will still be here when you get back. I said a few days ago that I would give you the green light when it is time to buy. Well, today was the day.
I'm impressed at how fast it bounced back. With that many shares dumped at the open you would think the selling would have continued. The fact that it bounced back so quickly is a good sign. I dipped my toe in at $1.70 this morning. GLTA!
Wow, I'm amazed that you can speak already considering the fact that you are only 5 hours old. Now If only VELT could progress as fast as you then we would be talking. GLTA!
How's it going?!
No, I won't be there. I'll be there in spirit though.
For what it's worth, I just cast my vote electronically a few minutes ago. I voted against questions 4 & 5.
I'm sure you know what those questions pertain to.
Have a good one Pappy.
re:"Fact. Your vote will not effect the outcome. Mgmt has more voting power than retail. But it makes us feel a weeeee bit better."
Yep. The shareholders meeting is nothing more than PR. You wait and see, everything on the proxy will be approved.
And you can add me to the group for 100k shares on any kind of a pull back under $1.75.
The reason you haven't heard from me in a while is because I've been preoccupied with my purchase of WMC. I bought WMC yesterday at $19.79. I will sell when it hits $21. Which from the look of things could be today. Take care Ed.
Nice call. 5 stars for you * * * * *.
Looks like I will be listening to you a little more often.
You're right, if I like VELT at this price than I shouldn't worry about a nickle or dime.
Years ago, I use to play the TV broadcasting stocks (SBGI,TVL,GTN) and I saw those stocks plummet during the correction of 2008. I was in SBGI big time and saw my value drop 80%. In July of 2009, SBGI was trading at 85 cents. So, I guess you could say I'm still gun shy. (Once bitten, twice shy.)
We'll just have to wait and see how this unfolds.
Yeah, but a lot of it hinges on how well the Markets hold up. The NYSE hit another new high today which has me a bit concerned as to when will the Markets make a much needed correction. That's one of the reasons why I haven't taken a solid position in VELT yet. I feel once the correction happens though, I will then have more confidence in investing again. Now, as to the direction of VELT, the next couple of days are crucial. If it can trade at the current price($1.70) for the next couple of days, then I think it will have a really good chance of starting to climb again. Good luck Ed.
Yep, a profit is a profit. That's the whole point of playing the market....to make a profit. Congrats octopus on your trade today. 5 stars for you * * * * *
ps...I'm not as familiar with the trading patterns of MM as I am with VELT, but it would appear to me today's run up in MM was mainly due to the bad earnings report from VELT. Shareholders of VELT were jumping ship today and probably put their money in MM for the time being. I've noticed MM can climb fast, but can also sell off just as quickly. Trade carefully.
As you probably know, this sector really doesn't heat up until the end of the year. So, instead of being mad at the people at VELT, I would suggest swing trading VELT until the next Q. That's what I've been doing (successfully) for the last couple of months and will continue to do for the next 3 months. I plan on buying a core amount of shares around this price and will swing around those shares. If you are interested in swing trading VELT, I'll let you know when to buy and when to sell. Trust me W4GP, you can still have your cake and eat it too with VELT. This sector is one of the fastest growing sectors out there.
Good luck W4GP.
Well, at least you're honest about it. Hang in there Brandon, this stock will eventually see the light of day. My only concern is will the Markets still be shining when this sector finally turns the corner? Let's hope so.
Take it easy.
re:"There's nothing wrong about driving the price down for other folks. But you see, had you stayed in the price would have been 8.50 right now."
Okay, let me see if I got this straight. The guy had a chance to make a 17% profit on MM and now your mad at a fellow investor for making a profit? Need I remind you the sole reason why any of us are here is to make money. Apparently, you must have gotten in at higher prices.
Good luck Brandon.
Yep, you found it.. If you noticed the selling has increased in the last 40 minutes. I'm thinking VELT will close at or very close to $1.62. I hope I'm wrong for the sake of the longs here. Good luck WOT.
How many times have I told this board this sector is out of favor right now? For you to be mad at management is misdirected anger. You should be mad at yourself for not heeding my warning.
Give it time. This stock will eventually have its day.
That was smart of you to sell before earnings. I sold last week at $1.88. I've been swing trading VELT for the last couple of months and have made money on every trade. IMO, VELT will probably drop another 10%. I'm looking to re-enter around $1.50.
Good luck Jack.
