  • Detroit auto makers have long built cars and trucks in Mexico, but the country is looking more attractive following a new labor deal struck in November with the United Auto Workers that raises wages for U.S. factory workers. Labor rates in Mexico are roughly one-fifth of those earned by unionized workers in the U.S., a gap that is only expected to widen as UAW wages approach nearly $30 an hour in coming years, representing as much as a $10 increase for some newer hires.

This is perfect for Donald. 35% tariff on cars made in Mexico. End this nonsense.

The $15 min wage is similar. It will promote automation like we never imagined.

GILD down since you bought. Better wait for Speedy's target of 15,200 DJIA. Data out today is not good and CITI warning is ominous.

67% labor partic rate. Tech meltdown and bios still melting.

Best to wait. CEO's are talking slowdown. Irene from Mondalez was just on saying slowdown. She is another one who split her company (Kraft into two parts) and it has not worked out very well.

She is pending on my list.

  • Speedy keeps a list of failed female CEO's and Marissa is pending. First she bought everything in sight, without regard to strategic fit, and now she is laying off 15%.

Sometimes these failing female CEO's split the company to confuse the issue and cover their failures. We have two examples of this recently. Marissa considered this tactic I have heard.

We hope Marissa makes a success out of her mess. Nobody wants to lose their job with a recession brewing.

Pretty much although the Florida hogs may have more domestic genetics than real Russian boars. The hogs we shoot do not have the mane you should see on Russian boars but they are certainly feral for many generations. Probably descendants of the Spanish pigs left here in the 16th Century mixed with escaped domestic pigs and maybe boars. I do not generally eat these pigs but I am told they are very tasty.

Dr. J.: I recall that you went hog hunting while you were in N. Florida with the Marines. Speedy does not hunt hogs for sport; it is to feed the residents of Everglades Acres. In fact, since I taught Jaime and The Guatemalan Hunter to get their own meat, I seldom shoot hogs at all. They supply the camp.

Trump will win this one. Fox only wants to make money by a rematch between trump and kelly. He is correct to boycott this travesty.

Megan is nasty and her attack on trump was her undoing. Fox will stick by her until it is clear she is costing them money.

That will be evident when nobody watches the debate.

The latest is that Huma copied beyond TS intel from a secure server to Hill's unsecured e mail server. This was so Hill could see it. And everyone else who hacked her system.

They released a statement that said in part, "U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is prepared to process the expected increase in Cubans applying for admission at South Texas ports of entry. CBP officers will process Cuban nationals in accordance with established procedures as expeditiously as possible while maintaining requirements and standards for individuals in our care."

    Pharma Ad Formula

    Nano:

Your post was not very clear. My objection to the Black doctor ads is that only about 5% of doctors are Black. (not counting Indian, #$%$, Asian). It is unrealistic to show only Black doctors in ads. As far as I can tell from sporadic TV use, there is only one White actor/doctor on TV these days. Are we trying to sell drugs or encourage acceptance?

It is true we have more Central American Americans in our sphere than Blacks but we are open to all except in drug ads.

Now we have learned that Miami (Miama in Old Florida speak) is leading the country in new AIDS cases and its all happening among Obama's People. Not the LGBTQ along Collins Ave.

Media wants to blame Gov Scott for cutting health care funding. But let's face it, more spending cannot make up for stupid.
