NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Apple (AAPL - Get Report) shares are declining 1.36% to $109.78 on Wednesday after J.L. Warren Capital said that the tech giant's iPhone 6S China sales are not meeting the firm's projections, Barron' reports.

While Cupertino, CA-based Apple said its initial weekend 13 million iPhone 6 and 6S sales exceeded last year's first weekend launch, this is still lower than the firm's original expectations, Barron' noted.

Overall, this is due to the "failure of the Chinese market to deliver," analysts said.

STOCKS TO BUY: TheStreet Quant Ratings has identified a handful of stocks with serious upside potential in the next 12-months. Learn more.

Another reason for the shortfall may be that the 3D force touch is not completely new to consumers as ZTE Corp. (ZTCOY) and Huawei have already introduced smart phones with this feature, Barron' added.

Separately, the firm said that the rose gold iPhone accounted for nearly half of the sales so far.

Separately, TheStreet Ratings team rates APPLE INC as a Buy with a ratings score of B+. TheStreet Ratings Team has this to say about their recommendation:

We rate APPLE INC (AAPL) a BUY. This is driven by some important positives, which we believe should have a greater impact than any weaknesses, and should give investors a better performance opportunity than most stocks we cover. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its solid stock price performance, impressive record of earnings per share growth, compelling growth in net income, robust revenue growth and notable return on equity. Although the company may harbor some minor weaknesses, we feel they are unlikely to have a significant impact on results.

Highlights from the analysis by TheStreet Ratings Team goes as follows:

Looking at where the stock is today compared to one year ago, we find that it is not only higher, but it has also clearly outperformed the rise in the S&P 500 over the same period. Although other factors naturally played a role, the company's strong earnings growth was key. Turning our attention to the future direction of the stock, it goes without saying that even the best stocks can fall in an overall down market. However, in any other environment, this stock still has good upside potential despite the fact that it has already risen in the past year.
APPLE INC has improved earnings per share by 44.5% in the most recent quarter compared to the same quarter a year ago. The company has demonstrated a pattern of positive earnings per share growth over the past two years. We feel that this trend should continue. During the past fiscal year, APPLE INC increased its bottom line by earning $6.43 versus $5.66 in the prior year. This year, the market expects an improvement in earnings ($9.13 versus $6.43).
The net income growth from the same quarter one year ago has greatly exceeded that of the S&P 500, but is less than that of the Computers & Peripherals industry average. The net income increased by 37.8% when compared to the same quarter one year prior, rising from $7,748.00 million to $10,677.00 million.
Despite its growing revenue, the company underperformed as compared with the industry average of 36.9%. Since the same quarter one year prior, revenues rose by 32.5%. Growth in the company's revenue appears to have helped boost the earnings per share.
Current return on equity exceeded its ROE from the same quarter one year prior. This is a clear sign of strength within the company. When compared to other companies in the Computers & Peripherals industry and the overall market, APPLE INC's return on equity exceeds that of the industry average and significantly exceeds that of the S&P 500.

Your statement is 100% correct, and yes I rate it a strong buy as a "three year plus HOLD" in the mean time Apple is hated, so I can't figure out why a person would invest in a stock they hate ? I have owned Apple since 2010 and have dollar cost averaged and accumulated 1000 shares and I'm proud of it. And YES I"m way ahead in the green.

  • SNPMarketScopeViewsNews2015-10-01 16:19:43.000CXRXCONCORDIA HEALTHCARE CORP.Acquire MediaCONCORDIA HEALTHCARE FELL MORE THAN ITS PEERS...BUT THESE ANALYSTS THINK IT'S COMING BACK RBC resumed coverage of Concordia Healthcare Corp (NASDAQ: CXRX) with an Outperform rating and $86.00 price target on Wednesday. According to a report issued Wednesday, the substantial decline in the company's stock price is unwarranted. Shares of Concordia Healthcare are down roughly 1 percent on Thursday trading. Concordia Healthcare's stock fell more than 46 percent over the past month and more than 34 percent over the past five trading days. However, the selloff seems overdone, RBC analysts Douglas Miehm and Joel Hurren assured. The company has apparently fallen victim to several stumbling blocks, including: "deal related concerns, Hillary Clinton's commentary related to drug sector pricing, higher than normal forecast debt levels, and a vaccuum [sic] of information leading to what appears to be panic selling." Related Link: Central, South American M&A At Lowest Level In 10 Years As such, the firm would recommend buying the stock, especially given its current P/E multiples of 5.1 times the 2016 estimate and 4.5x times the 2017 estimate compared to its peers' 13x and 10x multiples for 2016 and 2017, respectively. The experts pointed out that Concordia's stock should trade at a discount. However, the current stock price does not value the company adequately. The AMCo Acquisition Concordia recently announced it will acquire Amdipharm Mercury Company Limited (AMCo Ltd.) for $3.5 billion, including a $0.2 billion potential earn out). RBC sees this transaction as "the next logical step" in the company's evolution. Moreover, the analysts think the purchase will be EPS accretive immediately and will create value over the longer term. The acquisition also provides the small-cap healthcare company with a global platform to expand its reach and the experts think that AMCo's presence in over 100 countries will certainly be beneficial for Concordia. Yes, you did a little bit better than I did during the day, I accumulated YES accumulated "290" shares at 6 trades buying and dollar cost averaging as low as $57.10, I believe the secondary offering price is $65.00 so I thought it was a no- brainer. I did some research, it's a very good company and I like what they're into.

  • Ambarella investors are hard to please. The company released earnings results that blew away estimates and showed tremendous growth, but next quarter's guidance was just under expectations and investors started to bail. However, Ambarella's growth story doesn't appear to be over, and its competitive position still looks strong.

As Foolish followers of Ambarella may have already read, the company put up huge revenue growth figures of nearly 80% for the quarter on a year-over-year basis, along with adjusted net income up 150%. Both of these figures handily beat expectations, but as the market is always forward-looking, the focus was on next quarter's revenue guidance, which slightly missed expectations.

To show how fickle the market can be, analyst expectations for quarterly revenue of $92.3 million was still within management's guidance of $90 million to $93 million, but the midpoint of this range ($91.5 million) was lower than average expectations and one likely reason for the drop in the stock.

LOOK please just read this, a lot of companies out there most always underestimate earnings just to beat the beat next time they report this is a quote"The firm’s top pick in the region for this week is Ambarella, after management said it expects to see chip shipments related to the wearable technologies decline in the third quarter. The news triggered a selloff in both Amabrella and GoPro (the former is a main supplier to the latter)".. they ONLY stated this for a reason, to beat next time they report so take advantage of morons selling on this news and keep buying more and more, dollar cost averaging all the way. I don't have to end this post by saying "good luck" because its a no brainer.
