formaldehyde levels in wood wall "paneling" for homes has been in existence for over 70 years. YES that right, I don't think anybody ever thinks about it, My parents built a house in the early 70's and my father wanted a maintenance free home so he built it "thoroughly" with wood paneling so he wouldn't have to paint a thing. I remember the back of the paneling actually labeled the formaldehyde level contained, and it wasn't just my father installing the paneling in homes, there were millions of homes with wood paneling all containing this chemical, and no one ever said a word. My parents lived in the house for 40 + years and they didn't die from cancer, they died of natural causes in their late 80's.
