hey everyone I am now an investor in Thrm. you may see some of my future post. I try to re-publish from professional analyst vs posting my opinions and negative comments.
DuPont (NYSE: DD ) : 4.1% of shares held short as a percentage of float
Speaking of a stock that hasn't gone anywhere in a long time, chemicals giant DuPont perfectly fits the bill. DuPont, the Dow's second most short-sold stock, has seen its stock go absolutely nowhere over the last 18 years, not including dividends.
"What's wrong with DuPont?" you ask? The biggest hurdle for DuPont to overcome is that its business is highly cyclical. DuPont relies on global economic expansion to drive growth in its top- and bottom-line, as well as its pricing power. Aside from global economic growth, DuPont is left with minimal expansion pathways beyond going out and making a purchase.
On paper, DuPont looks like a great company to own long-term considering its ties to the agriculture industry and the need within the U.S. and around the globe to boost crop yields as the population increases. But what's on paper differs from what we've seen with DuPont's actual sales and EPS results. The chemicals business is highly competitive, the company could find itself (specifically its genetically modified organisms) tightly regulated in the future, and it's never found a way to avoid being heavily reliant on economic cycles. I suspect now could actually be a reasonable time to consider a bet against DuPont.
DD has totally supported the Dem party with donations and loaned executives for the last 50 years. Is it that you don't believe in the Obama destruction of the US economy or the tie to Obama and the Dem party? Apparently you did not own DD stock. If you did I hope that you had enough sense to dispose of it before now. Have a good day.
DD was supposed to get stronger after the CC fraud took most of the old liabilities. i was a total loser from the DD fraud and since I am retired will never make up the loses DD management perpetrated on stock holders. the whole damm bunch should be in jail. What I don't understand is why the 4 large stock holders don't revolt. There is very little the retail investor can effect with DD management but to speak our minds. I think it would help get retail investors back in the mkt by publicly firing the failed CEO.. She has to be in partnership with Obama in destroying the US.
DD used to be great up to time DD bought Conoco and started borrowing money where creditors started controlling decisions by management. just old memories when DD was great. I know most of you reading this were either not born or babies but DD used to be one of the greatest companies in the world.
WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chemours Company ("Chemours") (CC), a global chemical company with leading market positions in titanium technologies, fluoroproducts and chemical solutions, announced today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.03 per share on the company's common stock for the fourth quarter of 2015. The dividend will be paid on December 14, 2015 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on November 13, 2015. This is the first dividend declared by Chemours as an independent publicly traded company.
CC cut in dividend is pulling down DD. I am not sure why? I thought the companies separated but I guess like all other spin-offs it takes years before new management replaces the incompetent management dd gave cc.
dd headed to hold at 50 and cc headed to hold at 9. i predicted a 50 and 10 back in june. i just couldn't beleive my prediction even though i did get rid of the cc stock but only after losing $2300. i am still holding dd which is probably crazy.

it seems that no buyers of DD exist anymore. the bag lady has to go. I think if she was fired it would be worth 10 bucks a share. any employee with this dismal performance would be fired immediately except for the bag lady's management team and they get promotions and bonuses
