stock down the most of any Dow Jones average this year. Everything depends on the agriculture industry recovering. My opinion on this is you probably would be frustrated with volatility short term but a year from now you would be glad you bought at this arbitrary low price
is a turn around in process. ---The DuPont share price is now (24%) lower year to date versus a 1% rise in the S&P. Over a five-year period, DuPont has underperformed the S&P averages by (54%) or 5400 basis points
DuPont Co.'s stock DD, -0.47% 1.3% in premarket trade Friday, after the chemical company was upgraded to overweight from neutral at J.P. Morgan, which cited a positive reward-versus-risk profile in owning the shares after five years of underperforming the market. Analyst Jeffrey Zekauskas raised his rating to overweight, after being at neutral since late January. He bumped up his stock price target to $60, which is 13% above Thursday's closing price of $53.03, from $58. The stock has tumbled 25% year to date through Thursday, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.03% has slipped 2.3%. Over the past five years, DuPont shares have gained 38% while the Dow has advanced 69%. Zekauskas said the fact that a referendum on management performance, sought by activist investor Nelson Peltz's hedge fund Trian Fund Management, was settled by a vote of confidence in management is a positive for the stock. "Management is now in a position to demonstrate that the confidence of its shareholder base was well-placed," Zekauskas wrote in a note to clients. So despite lingering negative conditions in the chemicals industry, "we think there is a positive risk/reward in owning the shares now, he said.
when is the bag lady going to be forced to resign. my guess is when we replace the ball-less BOD. The performance of DD is bad and the arrogant management acting like the US govt. riding hurd over the victim employees..
quarterly dividend payment of 12.5 cents per share, payable November 20, 2015, to common stockholders of record at the close of business October 30, 2015.
I projected this weeks ago. I was sure that was a bottom but not sure of anything right now. There have been a few projections of 45. Since I still own significant shares (for me anyway) I sure hate this is happening. It seems that the bag lady needs to resign or take control of the management team and start firing all of the incompetent advisers that she is caring on the payroll.

what is the loss printing on Yahoo dollars of gains/losses. It started this morning pre-mkt and has printed off and on all day.
they would if they were not dynamic and had earnings that people valued and thus paid more for the stock. dividends are normally paid out of earnings vs a co pa y keeping cash or investing in the business. it is just an interesting fact that the stock holder pays for the dividend. just as a disclosure most stock and ETFs that I own pay dividends
if you have $100 in the bank and the bank declares a $10 dividend and reduces your $100 to $90 and sends you $10. and on top of that have to pay taxes on the dividend. I ask you are you better off. This is the reason dividends are a tax fraud on investors.
