the light has shined on the bag lady and its not pretty what was found. only question is where is the bottom., Is DD going bankrupt? What next it imust not have been CC that was the issue with DD
Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: MU): -46.3 percent
After leading the S&P 500’s charge in 2014 by gaining more than 61 percent, Micron has been hurting so far in 2015. Disappointing earnings have weighed heavily on Micron’s share price so far in 2015, and the stock has fallen more than 46 percent this year.
range-bound action changed dramatically on the morning of the May 13 with news that shareholders had elected all 12 of DuPont's nominees to its board of directions and none of the nominees from Nelson Peltz's Trian Fund Management. DuPont opened with a huge downside gap. The proxy-fight-inspired flush attracted the stock's heaviest downside trade since October of 2012. DuPont finished the day with a 7.4% loss and closed well below its 200-day moving average.
Over the last 30 days, DuPont has been by far the worst performer in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The stock's 14% loss over this time frame is double Intel's (INTC), the second weakest Dow member. Just before May 13, DuPont was simply underperforming but still remained well above its 200-day moving average as well as its 2015 low of $69.75.
Peltz said today that he was no through with DD. Fox news seems to think his next moves will be immediately after earning. DD should be engineering its earnings in view of this per FOX.
We have to cut this Democrat loving socialist loose before she bankrupts DD taking care of her beloved do nothing management and to hell with working employees
at least there is something positive about predictions
I havn' t got this completely straight in my mind but there is something here worth chewing on. DD actually sold CC us stock holders of DD. just look at the decline in U.P. of DD to compensate for the CC shares. Then to add additional insults charged CC 4 billion to purchase itself so we the stock holders paid twice. The company with the liabilities was not worth 4 Billion probably not anything.
In addition today it came to light that if CC went bankrupt that DD would still be held liable by the courts if past practice of companies trying to get rid of liabilities is practiced by the courts.
Now I don't know where this will all end but the courts are going to get involved as CC can't pay for the environmental disasters that DD tried to hide in the new company.
please voice your comments I would like to know what some of you think
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of DuPont (DD - Get Report) were falling 2.4% to $59.94, hitting a 52-week low of $59.81, Thursday after the chemical company completed the spinoff of its Chemours (CC) performance chemicals business.
Today's successful spin-off advances DuPont's transformation to a higher growth, higher value, global science and innovation company," DuPont Chair and CEO Ellen Kullman said. "We are now fully focused on markets where our science gives the company a distinct competitive advantage, enabling DuPont to drive higher, more stable growth."
I am not crying but sure hate for DD and CC to be my worst investment in years.
your math is flawed. you have to add the dollar value of dd and cc then divide by the number of shares of dd to see what the combined company is worth currently.for instance based on 1000 shares of dd and 200 shares of cc.
dd =$60.25 x 1000 = 60250.00
cc= 16.10 X 200 = 3220
TOTAL VALUE =63470
TOTAL UP = 63470/ 1000 = 63.47 per share.
yeh I would have been pleased to have 75 up but it is just not so.
prices were about noon today. they may go down some more before closing.
DD cut CC labor cost to make it a little bit more palatable but failed to clean its own house. result is price continues down on DD even after screwing CC with massive liability. In today's world a company can't guarantee its management full and rewarding employment for a lifetime including retirement. Its time for the bag lady and the BOD to cut 25% of the worthless management. They won't even be missed.
Shows the true result of the DD BOD decision making ability. Why the big fund managers vote for these clowns? I assume that the BOD is just an extension of the bag lady without any thinking ability or they just don't give a damm about stockholders.
