    looking at UNH and ANTM

I may be biased because I have held 9000 shares of UNH for almost six years but over the time I have been watching the sector it seems to me that the quality and depth of the UNH senior management team has really shone through. ANTM has a lot of cash on hand but it may just be an indicator they don't have strategies in place to utilize the cash they are building up.
UNH's PBM is the third largest in the nation, the Optum division's growth has been tremendous, UNH's dividend and buyback strategy? awesome.
ANTM seems to be sitting in a nice spot where money is raining down but after multiple management snafus over the course of the last decade it is difficult to know how they will handle and sort of adversity.
It is difficult to know which is best but, all in all, I think it boils down to the quality of the management team.. For my money UNH has the best senior managers.

We fixed up the house in Minnesota and sold it, the one we are in now is 103 years old, high ceilings, hard wood floors, an in ground pool out back, the interior is like something out of the movies... We are pretty happy here.
    Small town, nice schools, walkable.
Now I look at UNH and wonder, "could this thing run to $150?" Optum is the secret sauce

    Hey Burg,
I am still holding 9,000 shares average cost $25.49.
I sold 3000 in June of 2012 and combined that with my cash on hand to buy an old house in Chippewa Falls, wi.
We fixed up that old house and sold it (at a loss)
I have been using a strategy which somebody on this chat board told me about years ago
Selling naked puts, not only on UNH but on many other companies.. It has worked out very well.
I sold some covered calls on my UNH shares last year but bought them back (for a tax loss) in December. Of my 9,000 shares 1000 are encumbered by a set of $100 covered calls.
I am still bullish on UNH, this company has provided me with a living, a home and a nice nest egg over the past nine years.
I have sold upwards of a thousand naked put options on UNH over the past five years or so nearly all of them have expired worthless.
I have been day trading when the it feels bouncy,
All in all the rise in price has blown me away.
so, yes I am still here, just standing back contentedly smiling..
