staggman99 staggman99 Nov 13, 2014 10:02 AM Flag has not done a share price update today on AWLCF, however it is up another 75 cents a share at this time (up about 5%)...this morning, I sold some of my CEFL and started a position in Ford (F) as I feel it will shine in the next 18 months...I also plan to buy more SDRL and NADL when the price of them stops falling...! I will check out LYB...keep in touch...! $tagg...!

  • Board members...AWLCF (yield now about 29%) has just reported an increase 'in net earnings' of 47% over the previous second quarter...AWLCF will pay a dividend of $1.15 on 12/19/14 and goes ex-dividend on 11/18/14...and the current contract backlog is about 642 million USD...! $tagg...!

Board members...while the Monkey Talker takes time to call me a pimp, 'he failed to mention' that crop insurance 'is not free or cheap' and unlike other insurance payments 'it is taxable'...! Tip, I mention, on this message board, that AWLCF (yield about 29.9%) was a good buy...AWLCF increase in value by 8% today...! $tagg...!

sarge...I have a long history of always doing everything 'to soon'...I buy to soon and usually sell to soon...on investments, we can rebound in a few weeks or maybe a few months, but on farming I always have to wait another year and 'that crop is gone'...! Its O.K. because I still have my Jim Beam Black, lol...! $tagg...!

Gas prices at $3 won't last (article)

Board members...some of the Pro's are saying that 'oil prices will go lower' because SA, Russia, Iran and Venezuela need to 'sell more oil' to maintain their current budgets...the fact is, that a lot of the main oil producing countries need to 'increase oil output' because of lower oil prices (source: CNBC)...! More, corn prices have increased about 27% in the last couple of weeks because of an increase in demand and the U.S. corn crop is not has big as was expected...! $tagg...!

  • Board members...I messed up, I sold all of my corn and soybeans because I thought that grain prices were going lower...the fact is, I sold all of my corn about two weeks ago and corn prices have increased about 80 cents a bu. since I sold...corn has increased 27% a bu. since I sold it...soybean have also increased but not near like corn has...

The only bright spot is, that I invested those funds, from my farm operations and caught some of the recent market rally...that said, all is not always bad, AWLCF just turned in great earnings and is up about 7% (at this time today)...AWLCF (yield now about 29.9%) will pay a dividend of $1.15 a share on about 12/19/14...! $tagg...!

Board members...Yahoo stock is up 24.6% YTD in Total Returns and some investors are unhappy with the results...the fact is, Marissa Mayer (CEO) is doing a fine job....! $tagg...!

  • Board members...AWLCF (yield about 29.9%) just turned in 'really good earnings' and is maintaining its current dividend of $1.15 per this time today AWLCF is up over 4%...! $tagg...!

Board members...NYMT (yield about 13.4%) is my third leading portfolio gainer and it is now up 28.2% YTD in Total Returns...! MLPL is my leading gainer and SFL is my second portfolio gainer...! $tagg...!

Board members...over the 12 months ending in September 401-K participants contributed an average of $6,080 to their accounts...

$89,100 is the average 401-K balance which is up 6% from the previous year....that is due to a rise in stock prices (19.7% in the S & P 500) and the average contributions are up over 1% from the previous year...

The fact is, more savings, plus an increase in investing, is pushing the stock markets upward, and that is good for all investors...! The best is yet to come because the tape is still running hot...! $tagg...!

Board members...Airlines have been paying an average $2.98 a gallon for fuel which is 11 cents a gallon less than the prior year...that 11 cents saved the industry $1.8 billion...airline stocks have helped carry the Dow Jones Transportation average into record territory, the average is now up 21% YTD...a list of some of the leaders YTD are:

Southwest Airlines (LUV) is up 101.4% YTD

Delta Air Lines (DAL) is up 56.2% YTD

Alaska Air Group (ALK) is up 51% YTD

JetBlue Airways (JBLU) is up 50% YTD

United Continental (UAL) is up 47.1% YTD

Avis Budget Group (CAR) is up 42.2% YTD

Union Pacific (UNP) is up 41.6% YTD

Landstar System (LSTR) is up 33.2% YTD

That said, the Dow Jones transportation average is up very strong and should keep gaining more strength...! Just something else to think about...! $tagg...!

staggman99 staggman99 Nov 10, 2014 3:51 PM Flag looks to me like the drilling companies (stocks) are starting to 'disconnect from the oil and natural gas stocks'...the color (key statistics) and the yields are already showing a major difference between them...

It also looks like all of the markets are trying to push higher...I like the current looks of NMM and VLCCF based on their one year target est. and several other factors...! Keep the faith and keep investing, the best is yet to come...! $tagg...!

sarge...outstanding posted message...almost a year ago I posted that I was seeing new F-150 4x4 trucks everywhere (i even bought one myself)...because of that, I bought some Ford stock (F) and held it until earnings came out and made a nice short term profit...

My point is that the i-Phone must be selling very good because that is not the only store selling them...sometimes we can make a profit by just paying attention...that said, I just got back from the scrap yard, I took some 'scrap copper' in to sell and get rid of...I was surprised to get $2.50 a lb. for the scrap copper I just sold...! $tagg...!

k-bon...I added more NADL this morning because I think most investors are reading it and SDRL all to answer your question, I don't think it will make much difference what you buy or sell, at this time, because I feel the markets are doing a steady rebound...

The fact is, some stocks will increase a lot more than others, but going forward the 'stocks that are over-sold will increase the most'...that said, first it is never wrong to take profit (at any level) and second, SFL is 'a very safe and high yield' stock going forward...! Good luck with your trades...!

Board members...spam made a good point about tight-oil other words, about one-third of the companies producing tight-oil are losing money and the rest are making a lot less profit...

More, pretty ladies, in short dresses, with legs crossed, on Fox News, bashing Obama 'all the time', do not make us any profit...! $tagg...!

Board members...deadairez is correct, NADL is a fine 'stand-a-lone company' without the Rosneft deal...NADL needs to just move on without the Russians...has anybody notice that the Russian currency has fell so much in value, that they have to buy into the deal with a bunch of beat up on-shore drilling rigs, that will sit idle for about six months a year...! $tagg...!

ed...I 'keep buying' NADL to get a lower price average, I have 'not sold any' of my NADL average share price on NADL is now $6.09 a share and I am down $910.00 in principal...therefore, I am now down 10.6% on a stock that has a yield of about 17.6% a year...I plan to add more NADL shares again in the future...

On the other hand, I did sell, take profit, on some of my SDRL and SFL shares and then I took those funds and bought more of the SDRL and SFL shares back later at a lower price...I consider all of my moves on NADL, SDRL and SFL to be 'dollar cost averaging' as I also enhance my yields at the same time...! $tagg...!
