sarge...I am now up 41K since the end of January and this rally is very sweet...! CPLP is my leading daisy again today...! Stagg...!
william....I agree that it is 'to soon to buy or hold' any SDRL...however, when the time is right SDRL will probably do a fast triple...again. I am not changing anything at this time, but, I may buy some DLNG (from some profits on other holdings) as DLNG is expected to double in the future...! Stagg...!
Board members...SDRL is up about 25% today and this may show where the smart money is going 'in the future' when oil prices get back over $60.00 a barrel (some day)...that said, I am doing great and I am not changing anything at this time, my revenue stream is strong and my principal keeps increasing...plus, I have plenty of free cash, on the side, to take advantage of any future pull-backs...! Not to brag, but I am not looking for the next great stock as I think that I already have them...! Stagg...!
Board members...maybe some of this will help...FRO (yield about 18.5%) has a ROA of 11.1%, a ROI of 10.3% and a ROE of 32.8% (which is very good and means they are getting a good benefit from their leverage on the ROE)...the support is $7.60, the pivot is $7.48, the resistance is $7.70 and the target price is $11.63...! Stagg...!
The fact is, that I have issues with ED...first issue, is that he is a better investor than us and he needs to let the rest of us make some money (he can't have it all)...second issue, ED is a better turkey hunter than me (its not fair than he gets all of the turkeys)...! of course, this message 'is a joke'...but I would like to make more profit and get a few more turkeys. lol...! Stagg...!
sarge...it seems like most stocks still want to follow oil prices up and down regardless of their sector or current color (including APPLE)....that said, I added more FRO today as I feel it is very over-sold (p/e is about 6 and the yield is now about 19%)...! At some point in time, the markets and stocks should start to reflect their real value...! Stagg...!
sarge...good message, which shows the benefits of long investing, dollar cost averaging and compound returns (and that is a lot of my investment model)...! Stagg...!
sarge...I read the VLCC oil tanker rates are now over $84,000 a day (a major increase) and that bunker costs are 33% lower than a year ago...! I am surprised that FRO has not done a lot better than it has (???)...! CPLP (yield about 30%) and BDCL (yield about 20%) are my daisies today...! Stagg...!
guru...I don't own any HTGC...however, it looks to me like a lot of the BDC's are getting 'a lot stronger' as my BDCL and PSEC are doing fine...! MY CPLP and CEFL are also doing really good for 'which is unusual' for very high yield stocks...! Stagg...!
Board...it don't take much research 'to nit-pick on stocks' that have performed poorly in the past...it takes a lot more research to pick winners for the future...! I always like to hear what investor think different stocks will do in the future and not yesterday....! Stagg...!
gambler...I like the yield on MORL (yield about 32%) and the monthly payouts...however, I like BDCL (yield about 20%) better because the BDC's may benefit more than the REITs, as the Fed. raise interest rates in the future (if we run a comparison chart with MORL and BDCL, it looks like it has already started)..! Stagg...!.
aualum... you ask some tough questions as I am a investor and not trader...as I usually engage in long term, high yield investing...if I was a trader, I think that I would take a hard look at AMNB as the 'peaks and valleys on a chart are very close' and almost always about the same (check out the share prices movements on a AMNB chart)...! FRO may also be interesting for some 'up and down price movements' and it has a high yield...! Stagg...!
Board members...as several investors on this board seem to be interested in DLNG I have ran some data for them...DLNG (yield about 14.8%) has a ROA of 6.7%, ROI of 7.4% and a ROE of 20.4% (which is very good and means their debt is profitable)...on the five short term technical indicators I use, DLNG is rated a 100% buy, a 50% buy on the four medium indicators and a 33% buy on the three long term indicators; DLNG overall average is a 72% buy...support price is $10.42, pivot price is $11.49 and resistance price is $12.31 with a forward target price of $12.57...! My opinion is, that with a decent p/e of 6.7 and forward est. p/e of 7, along with the view of its current color and forward outlook, DLNG should be 'a decent long term holding' for the future...it should also be noted that U.S investors get a 1099, not a k-1 and pay taxes on the yields...! Stagg...!
Board members...I am an investor and 'not a trader'...however, traders may want to take a hard look at AMNB (yield about 3.7%) as it may be a traders dream (???)...if we run some charts on AMNB we will see that the share price 'peaks and valleys' are very close and very constant...! Just something for stock traders to think about...! Stagg...!
update...I am sure that pay.back is not crazy or blind, lol...however, AVACF (yield now maybe 36%, ???) went up in share price 5.5% yesterday (on 04/01/16) and that is not bad for a high yield stock, even if the yield is reduced in the future...! Dollar cost averaging can be a very important part of investing...! Stagg...!
sarge...I am now up 38K since the end of January...it seems to me that every time I buy a low yield stock that I end up losing money...low yield growth investing never works for me...don't feel bad as you are not the only investor that got burned bad in the energy sectors (I was lucky and got out early)...I think that the BDC's are some of the best plays for the future and we get paid well to wait (the BDC's will profit from future increases in interest rates)...! if you think investing is tough, you should try wild turkey hunting, lol (I have only got two in 11 years)...! Stagg...!
sarge...I just got back from the farms a while ago and I was surprise at how well I did in the markets again today, it probably will not last, but it is very sweet now (as most of my holdings are still on the fast track)...I had a truck bring some fish in from Arkansas today (for my breeding ponds) and I also checked out a new culvert that I put in last week across a ditch (because we have had a lot of rain)...! This is getting a bit spooky as everything is going so well (???)...keep the faith as we are on a roll...! Stagg...!
mark...I am not going to keep fighting with you as it is 'a distraction' on this message board...that said, you are doing a lot of cherry picking and investors that follow your leads are losing a lot of profits...you never name anybodies holdings that are doing well 'all you pump is poison and disrespect'...
That said, I am having 'another fine day in the markets' and the core holdings that you said would fail are doing fine (dollar cost averaging really works)...my NRZ, SFL, PSEC, FRO, BDCL, CPLP and CEFL all continue to do fine and they still have nice high yields...AVACF is unchanged today and I only hold 1,000 shares of AMHPF (which is no big deal)...
Mark, you really do need to start using a Total Return calculator and do some real research (taking in circles means nothing)...! Stagg...!
