k-bon...it is never wrong to take some profit (good for you)...I sold some of my BDCL a while ago for some profit and portfolio 'core balancing', but BDCL (yield about 19.7%) is still one of my core holdings...! I may add more FRO or CEFL next (???)...! Stagg...!

    CHECKING OUT THE CURRENT RALLY...!

DH...good point, as I never did look at it like that, you are saying that the markets/stocks would have been worst off without the drop in energy prices...that said, I think that the earning release on SFL 'will give us a window' to the earnings on FRO, if SFL has good profit sharing from FRO (???), it will be a sign of good earnings from FRO...! Stagg...!

  • Board members...about a year and a half ago, I said lower energy prices would be good for the markets and 'I was wrong'...all of the markets and most stocks have followed oil prices downward...oil prices have now bounced off of a bottom and the markets and a lot of stocks have followed oil prices upward in the current rally...

Nobody has a Crystal Ball to the future, but it looks to me like the markets 'continue to follow oil prices' up and down (even grain prices are doing a good recovery)...my opinion is, that oil prices will continue to make a very slow recovery and because 'the die is set', the markets and most stocks will continue to follow oil prices slowly upward...! Since the end of January this rally has been very sweet; and if current oil prices hold steady, we may see a decent mid-summer rally in the future...! Stagg...!

Board members...all my stocks are red hot (and I love it, lol)...I have sold some NRZ (twice) and some SFL for profit and portfolio balance and I will take some profit on BDCL next...however, all three will remain equal core holdings...I have also added more FRO as I feel it is way over-sold at this level....

I know that it is to 'early in the game' to get excited about oil prices, but it looks to me like the markets want to follow oil prices 'back up in the future'...that said, it is still raining hard on my farms and I feel that corn and soybeans prices will reflect the poor planting conditions, as it will continue to rain (off and on) for the next four days...! Stagg...!

ed...I am wrong a lot, but I am 'almost sure' (???) we will see a rate increase in June...that said, I think I have my portfolio tuned up for a rate increase (with NRZ and some BDC's), just in case...! Stagg...!

Board members...CEFL (yield about 22% and pays monthly) is up almost 6% today and if anybody is interested (???), sarge has posted 'a real good message on high yield stocks' on the AMNB message board (on 11 different picks)...! Stagg...!

sarge...outstanding message (and good for all of us)...I wold also like to add that CEFL (yield about 21% and pays monthly) has had Total Returns of 16.2% since the end of January and DVHL (yield about 15% and pays monthly) has had Total Returns of 33.9% since the end of January...! bayman...excellent posted message, every major financial problem in our country has always been caused by the banks (by finding another loophole in the regulations)...a lot of the investors on this message board 'started with nothing' and are now 'very wealthy' because of the money system we have in this country...

Our standard of living is a lot higher than it was 10 to 15 years ago , yet some people keep 'crying wolf at the door'...we live better than over 95% of the people around the world and yet some keep griping...we hunt, fish, travel, gambler, play golf, eat out and etc.,...we have nice homes (sometime two or three of them), good vehicles (with all the extras), RV's, boats, big screen TV's, great medical, dental and a whole lot more...! We can thank most of that to our money system (and controls) as it is our friend and it is still working very good...! Stagg...!

bob...thanks for the information...now I have to wonder if this could help AVACF turn the corner share price wise (???), as their shipping rates have started to increase some...! Stagg...!

k-bon...some board members and yourself may want to take a look at MLPQ as it has a nice six month chart (I am not sure about the yield yet, ???, but no k-1 to mess with)...however, it has been making a real 'nice steady run upward' in share price...! Stagg...!

jk...the U.S. has a Fractional Reserve Money System that is based on credit...the Fed. prints money to loan out to banks and then decides how much to keep in circulation after the banks pay it back...the purpose of the Fed., is to control the money supply in the U.S.,...i.e. to much money and we have inflation and not enough money and we have deflation...when we look at the money systems, of a lot of other countries, it seems that 'our money system works very good', as a lot of world products and currencies are tied to the U.S. dollar...! The Fed. is our friend and it helps to protect us financially...! Stagg...!

william...I 'almost always' buy on the dips and sell on the surges, because I feel that the markets and stocks always over-correct (up or down)... I added more FRO a while ago, but the markets seem a bit shaky today (???), however, I usually play the revenue stream as over time, it will usually reward...! It also looks like I made a good catch when I added more BDCL on the pull-back yesterday...! Stagg...!

mark...I don't play the markets, as I play the stocks in the markets...that said, forget about my winners and lets take a closer look at my ugly duck (at this time)...FRO (yield about 18.7%) has good color and plenty of cash on hand, plus their business has been good...however, it is the worst holding in my portfolio in Total Returns (and dollar cost averaging has not helped, ???)...FRO has been down graded (again) with a price target of $7.00 a share...the demand for oil is starting to pick up and I would think that it would help out the oil tankers (because oil is never where it is needed and must be moved)...my point is, I don't understand why FRO is doing so poorly share price wise (???)...

On the other hand, NYMT and CEFL are both doing very good and I am 'in the money' on both of them...I think there is a strong chance that the yield 'will be reduced' on NYMT (yet the stock don't reflect it at all, as it stays strong)...plus, CEFL has a great yield and pays monthly and continues to hold up very well...my point is, that FRO looks like a lot better stock to own than either NYMT or CEFL, yet they both keep doing a lot better than FRO...! Either I am over-looking something or the current markets are just plain weird (maybe both, ???)...! Stagg...!

Board members...I am now taking advantage of 'stock miss pricing' during these times of volatility...I added more BDCL (yield now about 20.5%) today and I may add more FRO (yield now about 18.5%) tomorrow if it retreats any more in share price...! I had already took some profit on NRZ and SFL and that gave me more free cash 'to reinvest' for current and future value...! Stagg...!

sarge..today I am buying more BDCL (yield now about 20.5%) and if it keeps dropping in share price I will add more FRO (yield now about 18.5%) tomorrow...the markets are over reacting to another (possible) small rate increase by the FED...and the markets are also over reacting to TNK missing earning est. forecast (spill-over)...! Stagg...!

Board members...I loaded up on NRZ back when it had its 'flash crash' and now I have taken some profit 'twice on it', and it is still a core holding...Compass Point has down graded NRZ from buy to neutral and 'neutral is fine' with me; as I have taken some nice profit and I am happy to just keep collecting the high yields...! more...I want to add more NYMT but I am afraid that they will reduce the yield and I will get burned (???)...however, I am 'up real good' on NYMT (yield about 16.8%) and CEFL (yield about 21% and pays monthly) and those are two stocks that the average investor will not touch, lol...! Stagg...!

sarge...I added more FRO (yield about 17.3%) this morning as I feel it is over-sold...FRO has a nice yield and strong color, so I placed more a few more bets on it...That said, I really like DLNG (yield about 12.5%) and will wait for it to 'settle down a bit' and I will buy on a decent share price pull-back...I don't feel that DLNG is going to race up a lot more in share price after today (???), but it is a decent holding for safety and future revenue stream from good yields...! Stagg...!

  • Board members...I am doing wonderful in the markets and not changing much (and letting some cash pile up on the side, in case of a market pull-back)...I did take some 'more profit' on NRZ (yield about 13.5%) and I will will probably add some more to my NYMT (yield about 16.8%)...that said, it is still raining off and on and it is way to 'wet and cool' to plant any soybeans yet (and more on-going rain is in the forecast)...! I think we will probably see an 20% increase on corn and soybeans prices before September...! Stagg...!

bob...thanks to you and one of your previous posted messages (when NRZ did a major short term pull-back and I added more shares) I have taken 'some profit' on NRZ (yield about 13.5%) and I am now taking profit on it 'again'...NRZ has been doing wonderful and it is still one of my core holdings, even after some previous and current profit taking on it...! This is another fine day in the neighborhood and I am well pleased...! Stagg...!
