k-bon...I not knocking energy stocks, as there was a time when we could buy almost any of them and make a nice profit...the problem with me is, at this time, that I am not smart enough to pick the right ones (you and william really have me beat on that)...! Your research is very good...please keep it up...! Stagg...!

WHAT IS UP THE MOST (???)...!

DH...some investors have been saying (for the last year) that we should put most of our funds on the sidelines...my opinion is, that if we had drop out of the markets, we would have, first, missed some great value buys with our revenue stream and second, also missed a nice rally in the past three months...! I still feel this is a stock pickers paradise (it also looks like some investors like the fact that NYMT and NRZ 'are growing' their business)...! Stagg...!

  • Board members...it look o e like NYMT (yield about 19%) turned in OK earnings as they were only .01 cent below estimates...it also looks like investors like the 'buyout deal' with RiverBanc by NYYMT....! Stagg...!

  • Board members...so far, this is another good day for me...at this time, my NYMT (yield about 18.9%) and BDCL (yield about 20%) are up the most, I also added more NYMT yesterday and early today...I will probably add more FRO (yield about 17%) and CEFL (yield about 20.7% and pays monthly) next...! Good luck to all....! Stagg...!

guru...I have 85 stocks on my watch list and PSEC (yield about 13.5% and pays monthly) is one of the stocks that is down the least...that said, I added more NYMT (yield about 19%) today and I may add more FRO (yield about 17.6%) and CEFL (yield about 20.8% and pays monthly) in the future....! CHECKING OUT VERDE POTASH...!

william...yes, but I only have 1,000 shares (just an other wildcard)....! Not sure if I should buy more or not (???), as they are still very cheap (cannot lose very much)...! Stagg...!

aualum...SFL is the best stock I have long and short term in my portfolio for over ten years...sometimes I buy more and sometimes I sell some, but SFL 'is always a core holding of mine'...because of their business model, SFL always seems to be a better bear market stock than a bull market stock, when compared to others...! OPEC IS INCREASING PRODUCTION...!

    by staggman99 May 2, 2016 9:29 AM
    staggman99 staggman99 May 2, 2016 12:57 PM Flag

Board members...Russia is not always the 'bad guy', while it is true that Russia needs the oil revenue, it is also true that a lot of Russia's oil wells are in a 'harsh environment' and will freeze up if production is cut back (they have to keep pumping)...! Stagg...!

  • Board members...it appears that Verde Potash (AMHPH, price is now .27 cents a share) is getting closer to getting a 'License to Operated' (LO) their mining operations in Brazil...when/if they get the LO the stock will probably make a major jump in share price...I don't know if this is the real deal or not (???), but there is a lot of new information 'just posted' on their website (to much for me to type)...! Stagg...!

  • Board members...OPEC is increasing production and that will probably hurt a lot of energy stocks, as Iran is doing the same...however, it may be good for the oil tanker industry (NAT, FRO and SFL's profit sharing)...! Stagg...!

    TRGP

k-bon...I am not knocking any stock as I do not do that...however, it looks to me like TRGP is mostly natural gas and KMI is natural gas and several other products (its possible that there is a lot more profit to be made in natural gas at this time, ???)...pipelines also have to be in the right places to be profitable...

That said, KMI has 84,000 miles of pipelines and TRGP has 23,000 miles of pipelines...I have a lot of pipelines on my farms that are no longer being used and also an abandoned oil pumping station...the numbers look good, but I wonder how many miles of the pipelines 'are still being used' by both companies or just carried on the books (???)...! I am just thinking out loud (again)...good luck on all of your investments..! Stagg...!

k-bon...I strongly suggest that investors 'stay out' of AVACF....I only took a small position in it so I would keep a close eye on it, in case something good would happen (I also took a small position in NYMT)...

I was lucky and made some good money on MLPL in the past before i sold it, but 'it has now stopped trading' and they are returning those invested funds to the shareholders...! Please remembers that my messages are generic and not personal...good luck on your investments...! Stagg...!

k-bon...you make a good point as I don't have any energy stocks at this time and I don't plan to buy any (yet)...however, why do you think that TRGP 'is doing so much better' than KMI and EPD at this time (there must be a reason, ???)...! It look to me like there is a lot more demand for TRGP stock than for KMI or EPD...! Stagg...!

william...you make a good point...I also wondered why investors would keep investing in the energy sectors when they were crashing, I guess they did not understand the 'Law of Supply and Demand' (a lot of investors still don't understand the energy sectors at all)...! Stagg...!

  • Board members...grain prices have been moving upward for several reasons (to much wet weather to plant which hurts crop yields, a falling dollar and etc.)...when the U.S. dollar falls in value it makes U.S. farm products cheaper for other countries to buy (Increase exports is good for grain prices)...this may be the time to look at some short term plays (six months or less) in GRU, DBA, CORN, SOYB or even SLV (silver)...! My source of information is, 'Prairie Farmer' (on search) and click on daily articles by "Bryce Knoor'...! Stagg...!

    2 lousy days for me

    by sarge198502 Apr 29, 2016 1:00 PM
    staggman99 staggman99 Apr 29, 2016 3:42 PM Flag

sarge..I have also gone down a little bit in the last two days...however, a nice dividend from NRZ helped out some today and that is why i like high yields (they give us some slack to play with when the markets turn south)...I have started new positions AVACF (yield about 16.7%) and NYMT Yield about 18.5%) as I needed to expand my holdings some...

I have said this before (and many disagree with my investment model, because they never have tried it), but I make money when the markets are going up and I increase my revenue stream when the markets are going
down)...at this time, I have some free cash from revenue stream to reinvest and I will probably take 'some profit' on SFL and move those funds into higher yields or wildcards...

More, the dollar 'has been falling in value' and this is good for U.S. grain exports, because it makes our products cheaper for other countries to buy...this may be the time, to play GRU, DBA, CORN or SOYB (???)...to get the latest on U.S. and global grain reports, on search go to: 'Prairie Farmer' and then click on Morning Market Review by 'Bryce Knorr'...! We are getting a lot more rain and this is good for crop prices as it slows down planting which increases the grain prices...SLV (silver) may also be a decent short term (six months or less) play for profit...! Keep the faith and keep investing...! Stagg...!
