sarge...I got some bone spurs in my neck that is pinching a nerve that goes to my left arm and they can do surgery to fix it...the pain is not as bad as it was, so I think that I 'will drink on it' for a while (Jim Beam Black can fix almost anything), lol...! I have CNBC on all day long (and I enjoy it)...however, if the Pro's keep talking Correction we will have one and then they will start talking a Rally and we will also have another Rally...! 'Reliable Yields' are probably the long term key...! Stagg...!

william...great message, 'Reliable Yields' are the main key, as the yields give us the on-going 'percentage edge'....! Stagg...!

william...it is hard to say if we will have a 'Sell In May And Go Away'...however, when we do, it usually don't amount to much or last very long...the fact is, that we usually get a 'Mid-Summer Rally' which is pretty strong...and the worst is a 'Bloody October' (which can come early and be longer, like last year)...I am an investor and not a trader, so revenue stream from my investments is very important to me...

That said, the stocks and the markets 'always over-corrects' (to high or to low) and I try to made money in the middle and by dollar cost averaging it has worked good for me... in my opinion, 'a new thing to watch for', is 'Sector Rotation', a lot of money seems to jump in and out of different sectors 'for no real reason'...investors get caught in a 'Sector Rotation' and sell out, just to see those related stocks go right back up again...! We are seeing more Sector Rotation all the time and 'high yields help' (but are not the cure) as our revenue stream stays the same 'if we hold' those stocks (and gets better if we dollar cost average)...! Stagg...!

k-bon...I am well pleased with WMC (yield about 18.7%) and NYMT (yield about 13.7%)...plus, NRZ (yield about 9.1%) has been on the fast track for Total Returns (it is up over 44% in the last 12 months in Total Returns)...! Stagg...!

pay.back...bayman, talked me out of buying BX because he had to file an amended tax return twice after he got his K-1 in July...maybe not a big deal if it is held in an IRA (???)...that said, BX seems to be on the fast track at this time as it has great color and a decent yield...! Stagg...!

bayman...thanks, I did not buy BX yet and I will pass on it...I don't like K-1's (just to much stress)...I cannot believe that I did all of that research and over looked that they send out K-1's....I much be losing it (???)...! I agree, I can take those funds and dollar cost average into something else (maybe more NRZ or KCAP, ???)....! That said, this is another fine day in the markets for me (it pays to keep the faith)...! Stagg...!

k-bon...corn and soybeans, but mostly soybeans as corn prices 'are very low' and it cost a lot more to plant corn (we don't fertilize soybeans and the seed is a lot cheaper)...there will also be some milo planted, but not much, milo is more drought resistance but the yields are usually a lot less than corn (feed value is the same but the price is usually a bit lower than corn)...! To be honest, I don't see how farmers can make 'land and machinery payments' at these crop prices (???)....! Stagg...!

Board members...this will probably be a 'very poor year for American agriculture'... low grain prices because of a huge surplus and a strong dollar 'is hurting grain exports' as it makes our products cost more abroad...! Stagg...!

Board members...if anybody likes steady yields MLPL (yield about 11.5%) and LMPL (yield about 11.8% and pays monthly) are twice the profit or loss (2x) and they 'both then to counter balance' each other...

BDCL (yield about 17.4%) is another that is a basket of BDC's with twice the profit or loss (2x)...CEFL (yield about 19.7% and pays monthly) is another one that pays nicely...DVHL (yield about 14.3%) is still another that I am holding....! At this time, I am 'in the money' on Total Returns in all five of them...! Stagg...!

Board members...the Monkey talkers is running more of his 'Voodoo Economics', as I guess he has never heard of 'Total Returns' which is when the yields are added back (or deducted from the entry price)...

That is what happens when he plays 'make up politics' instead of real investing...! Today the tip is BX (yield about 7.6%) as it is 'a buy' on the short, medium and long term technical indicators that I use...! Stagg...!

Board members...in my opinion, BX (yield about 7.6%) is a better holding than WFC (yield about 2.5%)...BX has a lot better color; higher yield, twice the return on equity, better chart and etc.,...! The short, medium and long term technical indicators (that I use) also rate BX a buy and WFC a hold...! Stagg...!

Board members...I am still waiting for the Monkey Talker to explain why corn prices have dropped over 50% yet meat prices are still going up (???)...

I would also like him to tell us why it is better to let corn spoil and for the rats to eat it than to make ethanol out of it (???)...it cost a lot of money to store all grains including corn...

The fact is, the Monkey Talker has been wrong on about everything he has posted in the last two years (maybe its time for him to give us some more 'good stock tips' for the future, lol)...! Stagg...!

sarge...I sold some of my SFL and will probably sell 'a bit more' (for more portfolio balance), but SFL will still be a core holding....however, I really like the looks and color of BX (yield now about 7.6%) and after taking some profits and more dividends coming this month I 'will start' a position in BX very soon...

I am well pleased with my holdings at this time 'as my yields are strong' and most of my holdings keep moving up...I will probably 'reduce' my SFL, F, BDCL and PSEC as I am 'in the money' on all of them from dollar cost averaging...! PSEC (yield about 12% and pays monthly ) is slow/poor money and I am getting tired of waiting for the spin-offs (I can probably do better)...! Stagg...!

  • Board members...this is another great day in the markets...I added more KCAP today and it looks like it may have found a bottom (???), with future yields added back I am now underwater on KCAP by about 4%...KCAP is still not a core holding, so future dollar cost averaging should bring it back to par...

Everything I have is on the fast track today, except PSEC and I wish they would hurry up on the future pure play spin-offs...my average weighted yield at this time is 12.9% and I am not changing anything...however, I see several stocks that I would add if I had the available funds...i.e. BX and more KCAP, MLPL, and LMLP...

My current 'core holdings' are NYMT, WMC, SFL, BDCL, F, PSEC and NMM...and my current leaders in order are NYMT, SFL and NRZ...! Good luck to all...! Stagg...!

sarge...I like the looks of BX (a lot)...BX (yield about 8%) has a 96% buy rating on the technical indicators that I use.and a forward price target of $44.17...the color on BX is 'very strong' as the ROE is 23.6%, ROI is 21%, gross margin is 82.8%, operating margin is 61.5% and the profit margin is 21% (all strong color with a good forward outlook)...! I agree, BX is very attractive...! Stagg...!

    Exiting SFL, reducing NMM

bayman...its hard to replace a holding that has a yield like WMC (I still have a core holding in it)...however, I am OK with CEFL (yield about 20% and pays monthly) and BDCL (yield about 17.6%)...myself, I am still gun shy on oil, because 'even if' oil was at $80.00 a barrel, the previous profits would still fall 'very short' for more oil companies (as compared to their previous profits)...

I am underwater on KCAP ( yield about 15%), but I feel its color is not that bad and I am adding more to it as it is not near a core holdings yet (I always dollar cost average into a
new holding)...I also took 'some' profit on my SFL, for portfolio balance, and put those funds into more NRZ (my NRZ has been doing fine)...! Again, I am more concern about increasing my revenue stream from yields (than increasing principal)...I feel that if my revenue stream from yields 'keeps increasing' that my principal will eventually self correct (it always has in the past)...! Stagg...!

Board members...we also need to remember that debt becomes an 'income producing asset' if the company has a sound business model...SDRL is a poor example because without debt there would probably not be a SDRL as such (and SDRL still has good color)...

More, the U.S. has a Fractional Reserve Money System 'that is built on debt'...that is the way we increase our money supply...remember, low or no debt does not mean that a company will be successful...! Stagg...!

    BACK TO THE FUTURE...!

Board members...it looks like I am down 12% from the beginning of 2014 and up about 2% YTD in all of my holdings (after deducting farm income deposits and adding back a withdraw for a new F-150 XLT 4x4 truck)...the good news is that my 'revenue stream from my yields' is up 21% from the beginning of 2014 (because I reinvested my yields on the dips and a farm income deposit also helped add to it)...

Most investors always look at their principal (Total Returns are also very important), however, I tend to measure my investment success 'by the growth' of my revenue stream (from yields)...i.e. to me, it is just like farming, it's not what the farm is worth, but how much income and profit it can produce (I feel the same way about my portfolio)...! I strongly feel that as long as my revenue stream from my yields is growing, that my principal will balance out eventually (it always has in the past)...! Stagg...!
