With all of these if you weren't buying and selling into the hills and valleys either shares or options at the various time frames you would be a BIG long term loser .
PM miners have been tough to make money with unless you have been quick on your feet ! -
Being perfectly honest I do not have a large holding in CDE presently .
Bought 300 shares a few days ago at $19.63 thinking the price was near a bottom .
The manipers have been in charge and I assume they will buy in when they feel it is worth it to them .
I have not been buying shares but fooling around with some options .
I have been caught before by selling too many Puts .
At one point I had 85,000 shares before the reverse split and was a big loser .
I think Krebs will be keeping Coeur in the hunt for bargains and I will be watching for a major purchase of Calls or sale of Puts .
Don't think it is easy for any miner share holder presently .unless there is a buy out .
Most all PM miner's charts are bad .
Meanwhile I am involved from the beginning with a stemcell company , a cancer cure company and a very large position in a private company that has a medical device .
Been in and out of a few very cheap PM miners where I have been thinking along the lines the same as Edmund .
One high volume winner will make me smile and make it all worth while .
Until then I am as bewildered as anybody ! -
The way I heard the scuttlebutt Hecla has a Guardian Angel and can get what they want done as necessary .
At least that was the way it was .

GenSpera, Inc. (GNSZ) announced that the first patient has been treated in the Phase II clinical trial of its lead compound, G-202, in patients who have hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
“We have now enrolled a patient with advanced HCC who has not been helped by standard-of-care therapy with sorafenib,” said Devalingam Mahalingam, M.D., Ph.D., an oncologist at the Cancer Therapy & Research Center at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. “Often, these patients have limited therapeutic options and survival rates are very modest in this setting. It is reassuring to know that G-202 provides another therapeutic possibility for our advanced HCC patients in this Phase II clinical study, which follows the safety and therapeutic efficacy we observed in the Phase I clinical study. We look forward to enrolling more patients in this study and reporting data later this year.”

Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. (CDE), the biggest U.S. silver producer, is looking for more acquisitions after the purchase of Orko Silver Corp. (OK), with an eye for smaller deals near existing assets.
“There are some incremental-sized deals that could have an impact on our existing assets between now and 2016 that we’ll turn our attention to,” Chief Executive Officer Mitch Krebs said in an interview yesterday. The Coeur d’Alene, Idaho-based company will consider deals “smaller than Orko but big enough to be meaningful enough to the company,” he said.
Coeur agreed last week to buy Orko for C$346.2 million ($337 million), trumping a bid from First Majestic Silver Corp. (FR) The company plans to start production in late 2016 from Orko’s La Preciosa project in Mexico, one of the largest undeveloped silver deposits in the world, Krebs said in the interview in Hollywood, Florida, where he’s attending the BMO Capital Markets global metals and mining conference.
Silver prices on the Comex in New York averaged a record $35.269 an ounce during 2011 as investors sought an alternative investment. Silver futures for May delivery gained 0.9 percent to $29.32 today.
Coeur, which mines in Mexico, Bolivia and the U.S., is also expanding existing operations while seeking to contain costs, Krebs said. The company will #$%$ potential deals against the requirements of its existing growth plans, including La Preciosa, Krebs said.
Coeur, which “took a hard look” at Orko last year, made its offer after the value of First Majestic’s all-stock bid declined with the Vancouver-based company’s share price, Krebs said. The deal is expected to close in April.
‘Very Digestible’
The company was also prepared to take on La Preciosa because the estimated $300 million to $500 million in capital costs is “well within our means,” Krebs said. Coeur, with a market valuation of $1.75 billion, rose 0.8 percent to $19.31 at the close in New York.
“It’s not a company maker or breaker kind of mega- project,” he said. “It’s very digestible growth for a company our size.”
The depressed market valuations and financing difficulties for so-called junior companies for may be positive for Coeur, Krebs said.
“The capital markets have been largely shut down for the juniors,” he said. “It’s going to be a very interesting year for the non-producers and that means opportunities for a company like us.” - Reply to
