Wait 2 weeks and tell her EUREKA!! WE'RE RICH!!!!!!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • This isn't your average run of the mill startup.
Do you realize how many S&P 500 clients are already on board?

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Remind me of the crowd that ATTEMPTED to destroy the FACEBOOK IPO.
At that time FB was not profitable, but like BOX, a huge and growing number of users.
They scared people out all the way down to 20.00 and then loaded their own greedy little boats all the way up to 82!! They accomplished this by overwhelming the exchange servers with MILLIONS of orders and it crashed - enabling the hole that opened for their vicious short selling panic attack.
The same thing won't happen here.
Mark this post. A day from now, a week from now, a year from now - the people who get in below 30.00 will be HUGE winners by New Years Eve 2015 - up 100%, 200% or more.

oldguy, I like the way you think. It is exactly this consideration that gives this company its advantage. Think of it as a government backed obligation. With this as our foundation the possibilities are boundless. Expect bigger, better news in the not too distant future.

While your assessment is good in a general sense, its the unexpected news item (and there are several potential catalysts) that give this stock its premium. Dont under estimate that potential. Many who have gone before you were waylaid by such and missed most of the best moves this stock has seen.

Big consolidation right on the 10 day moving average line - and on GOOD news.
Only a fool would interpret today's announcement reporting only a PORTION of Cologuards rollout quarter as anything but a resounding success. Q2 will easily double these numbers and the big money knows that - hence the 32 and 33 price targets. Definitely more of an opportunity to buy here at 27.30 than a time to be selling.

  • I suspect the smart ones have taken their losses and moved on or maybe even changed allegiances by now. But for those who have not, The "January Effect" could wreak havoc upon their portfolio, as well positioned small cap stocks such as EXAS have been known to double over the 30-45 day time frame that starts each year. Dont count that out on this small cap stock either - especially if they come forward with new potential ancillary product lines and/or a big break with a large insurance carrier agree to cover within 80% of the targeted 500 per test. The stock could go up 100% in the blink of an eye.

  • Financial Impact of Abbvie drug? around 1.5 Billion.
Here's an excerpt from Barrons today:
We believe the estimates for potential financial impact will vary depending on assumptions but if we estimate that Express Scripts may broadly cover 20-40% of private pay covered USA lives, then multiply times 70% for GT1, this might theoretically impact up to 15-25% of the Gilead Harvoni market, or up to $1-2B+ in share. It remains to be seen how this may impact other managed care payors as well or if Gilead may find other ways to provide access to these Express Scripts pts (written doctor letter, intolerance or non-compliance with 5 pills, etc etc). Gilead Bull argument will be: stock is already cheap and reflects negative sentiment on future visibility, company will aggressively buyback stock."

If I was trying to acquire 27 million shares on the cheap to try and cover my short position prior to a buyout offer.....I would do my best to fake out as many people as possible. I would use the FOOLS FORUMS on Yahoo to disseminate the impression of bad intentions on the part of the CDL and CMS. Todays behavior was a brazen abuse of the financial markets and public perception. Whoever you are cost ordinary people millions.

"Sole victory", perhaps a poor choice in wording. Still, an honest person would have to conclude that what is being compared to ILMN here are completed, processes, equipment and tests on the market currently, each of which in their own right could be considered a "victory". Yes, EXAS has a nice pipeline of potential revenue streams looking into the future, the only one presently that is on the market and making money that I'm aware of is Cologuard, but please don't interpret that to mean I am belittling this company or it's pipeline in any way. To the contrary, Im very impressed with the potential for multiple add ons which will ultimately be worth billions.

Actually, I think I see where you're going with this crushalgo, and I think I like it.
As has been noted here before, the top researchers at EXAS are all in their 60's.
Jay Flatley and ILLUMINA would offer this company another 30 years of life beyond the sole victory, albeit a MAJOR victory with Cologuard. I happen to agree with you in your thinking - ILMN is watching and EXAS is indeed a PRIZE worth courting. Any other information or thoughts on this are welcome by me. I don't subscribe to the notion of ILMN as a threat however. The poison pill has been discussed here at length. Any acquisition will come at a substantial premium and you can take that to the bank.

    Scorekeeper,
By colonoscopy "community" I refer to the good men and women whose livelihoods depend upon the colonoscopy equipment and procedure, nothing more. Please correct me if wrong, but I take it as a "decision" that UNH has chosen NOT to cover the cost of CG for their policy holders.

  • For many of them, their livelihoods are centered around this process and these yesteryear machines. Whether real or not, their ill founded perceived threat by way of CG is proving to be quite the boondoggle for this stock. Needless to say, we all know that those who resist change simply become the paving stones of the freeway into the future. I for one, welcome UNH's decision and have added to an already hefty position (1/5th of my portfolio) on the small pullback we've seen thus far. Ironically, UNH's decision puts them at a long term disadvantage as their costs will surely mount as the boomers enter the not so sweet spot for susceptibility of CRC and late or no discovery occurs at rates heretofore unseen. Politics and short term economic brinksmanship and wrangling aside, by dooming the populace under their care to late treatment, UNH is sowing the seeds of demise within their own balance sheet. I will not be buying THEIR stock.

ILMN could have bought this company with a single day's market gains on multiple occasions. Lesson here: Never let JF #$%$ over - he will never forgive you for it. He's a anything but the humble victor.

It's looking fairly good considering they usually tank it in the week prior to earnings.
It's actually about 1/2 real book value at the moment but nobody seems to care any more. They only wanted this stock when it was supposed to go to 90.00. I'll be happy with 100% this year. In the meantime, our obstructer of free speech gets carte blanche from Yahoo because their lawyers have told them that a hands off approach is best if this becomes a major lawsuit. I have faith that one day it will, but it certainly wont be good for them to have been aiding and abetting all this time - tacitly or otherwise.
