Uh, yeah, well, if you think about it, I am giving balance to the happy talk......but thanks for the deep insight and sharing an educated point of view.
As a five year investor, and I assume you are long, if you are an insider you are probably not the least concerned. On the other hand, if you are a retail investor, you have been skinned, yes? But I get it, you are
a youngster, have plenty of time to work at your job and recover your losses anyway, and are looking for maybe a ten year return. Biotech companies live, but more often die, on that investor strategy. It is not that it will not work for you. but investing in stock should only be gambling when the odds are in your favor. Give us your risk/reward calculation, and time frame so we can all follow along. Thanks.
$211 million accumulated losses. shareprice fifteen cents, 480 million shares, market values this at 70 million, no significant revenue, where is the $70 million? Well, the only real value is the IP so that must be where it lies, but who knows what it is really worth? Apple paid $20 million for the exclusive use of the consumer electronics part (which produces no revenue for LQMT either) so maybe if you add that to the $70 you come up with a total Crucible value of $90 million to somebody, whatever, but with 480 million and 700 million authorized shares, this is a really deep deep hole. The way out is more near term dilution because it sounds like revenues are too far away (1-2 years) to cover costs.....followed inevitably by a reverse split. It is a wondrous technology, that these folks can't sell, and for which shareholders are not getting paid.
No one really cares what you (or whomever) did or did not say, serious investors care about what the company said and did, and no, the shareprice was not supposed to drop 25%. New investors were supposed to show up, maybe even an institutional investor or two for more than a few bucks. Some posters are saying this is only going to come to fruition in 2016, which may well be, but if there is that hiatus, early investors are going to be diluted and split into oblivion along the way. You are always spinning, put some balance into your posts and maybe they will be more digestible, Have a nice day.
Now down 25% from the R/S and listing, that they shoved down our throats, even though this was supposed to attract a whole new category of buyers. Know this, If we get washed out, insiders will simply issue themselves new subscription rights, so there is little "shared fate" with those folks. Same olde story.
Maybe they should have come up with a material success first. Did you really expect your shares to crash? Thanks a BCLI .
"fascinated with the compelling technology" and "I simply cannot fathom this company struggling for commercial acceptance over the next 5 -10 years and the shares remaining in the penny department" Understandable
sentiment zenstar, but exactly the history of the company. Just sayin.
Good post, but what promising new management are you referring to? The same people are still holding the reins as officers and directors.
I thought the CC was upbeat but no hard news, so would expect the shares to rise then settle back down. The real question is when will institutional buyers jump on the new listing and R/S strategy the company has
announced at our expense, and start buying. Today? Hope so, but doubt it.
They gave us the reverse split to get a listing and attract new investors and we get a 20% loss. What a break.
Hope they have hot news to announce at the CC as part of their back up plan for shareholders.
By any definition, this company has failed its long shareholders over time, there is even more dilution to come
plus the all but inevitable reverse split, so getting in early was a losing strategy and still is. That is my opinion and it is backed up by the facts on record which are indisputable. If this ever turns around on revenue it will be a year out and in the meantime, long shareholders are at risk of being diluted and split into oblivion.
Have a nice day.
Okay, CC on the 13th, they better have another arrow in the quiver to fire off because this is deadheaded to $3 and that is really going to tee a lot of people off. Sorry, but have seen this happen too many times to
ignore on faith alone. When are the trial results due?
Outstanding! They brought us the reverse split, the accompanying plunge in the share price, and have hastened....the compensation committee has hastened......to enact a full table of new subscription rights for these insiders, so if their leadership does not work out, they can issue themselves new rights/options in the event everybody else gets washed out.. Wow. Now there is an incentive for ...... new investors to see where the priority sits in the board room. S.O.P.
"I am not a scientist nor am I any kind of financial/stock expert (that is probably pretty obvious in my posts). I am a laymen investor who reads the data and tries to make sense of it just like anyone else." Well, that is not all you do, you post here every day. many times a day, at all hours. In fact, you post way more than anyone and your posts are always happy posts about the company......like a blind pump. Why is that? Hmmmm.
If you are just trying to make sense out of the data, how is it that in a start up high risk biotech that just delared a reverse split, your analysis is one sided? Sorry, but your credibility is limited by your rather absurd bias. Just sayin.
Stuck down at 16 cents following the annual meeting and much touted opening of the center of excellence, but no new revenue . Nobody is buying it, the history and leadership credibility is killing this stock. Looks like another 1-2 years for business to develop which is not going to be soon enough to cap the dilution. R/S
more and more likely IMIHO,
Down 15% from split, an overall market decline, now news to hold up the price....what is their back up plan to protect general shareholders?
