Why the relative weakness in ERF?

No capitulation on the dividend yet is key for me. I wouldn't mind owning some ERF for the long haul but want to see the reaction to a cut first. I don't want to buy it for 8 when I can get it for 7 or 6 if people throw a tantrum about what would seem a prudent move. Maybe there would be no tantrum, but the possibility hangs over the stock.

Quotes like that are always fun to tuck away and remember to laugh about later, especially when they are from a clown like Alwaleed to a joke like Bartiromo.

He is just doing his basic Saudi patriotic duty in this game of chicken and she is just being her normal pseudo journalist self. What is odd is that any of it is being taken seriously given its clearly Saudi propaganda masquerading as an interview. Not that it is "Bad" propaganda or nefarious in some way, it's just standard and expected for the game, not "news". Honestly, Alwaleed to Bartiromo is kind of a tired old routine dating back to her CNBC days.

    Bloomberg 12/26 -
Saudi Arabia, OPEC’s biggest producer, is assuming an oil price of $80 a barrel for 2015, said John Sfakianakis, a former economic adviser to the country’s government.

Lots of funny numbers coming out in an atmosphere of uncertainty and fear. I think it would be hilarious if the Saudis actually were budgeting and planning for this while scaring the hell out of lots of people in the meantime.
