Kind of makes me feel better that they're lives are so miserable now. Should have averaged down lads. Every dollar may be worth only 1 penny on my initial investment but, I'll gladly take it over the long term. 33 million shares is exactly where this was in '06. Peace.
It's hard to imagine that scenario as having been the force for the movement upward or, for that matter, the selling at the start of the trading day. It doesn't just happen like that in my experience. Good luck...Peace!
No. I don't feel that is the issue at all. It appears you're saying that people 'sold' after thinking they had a gain....then, realizing their mistake bought back it? I hardly think that's the case. The Price fluctuation is typical of people looking for a floor...and NOT day traders. Best Wishes.
Yesterday the price had dropped to 6.01 before buying kicked in. Today it's back to 8. With great news we'll see how we go. Either way....the split we knew was coming is over...and the OS are back under control. The best news is our day-trading college kids are gone. Peace.
Why on earth would Bob Lanza leave Advanced Cell???? He's paid PLENTY of money...in cash or, and just as importantly, in SHARE BONUSES. He's staying put until Dolly comes home!!
Keep...I've been into the company for a long time. I've grown a little wiser (and thankfully wealthier) in this time. In my view we can kiss the pre RS notion of a $10 share price goodbye. It may have been possible for that to happen with only a billion shares...but not now. In my view, and my loyalty to the company has reached it's limits, the settlement is one of two things:
1. Just another way to finance the company off of the backs of the investors like us and/or 2. A demonstration of the same nonsense from years past. These litigants in this case asked for a huge pile of cash (that we agree to pay) and the company just serves them up shares that they know we have to eat.
In essence, the company has demonstrated that they will just continue to give 'free shares' at ever increasing amounts to anyone they want. In this case, it's to settle a lawsuit. In some of the Principal Directors case, it's in the form of bonus shares which, sadly too, have become gargantuan in scope.
Quite frankly, even though I had grabbed more than 1 million shares at the .012 level years ago...I've had it. The RS will most certainly be in the 80-100 : 1 category and (sadly) all we'll have done is finance the lavish lifestyle of the Principals for way too long. I wouldn't mind another big score with ACTC...but, my view is that the RS will occur sooner than later and the only people who will be assured of another score like that will be those who are sitting on 50 million shares or more.
In fact, to believe that ACTC will announce anything big...before the RS borders on physical suicide. Why announce anything before? For what purpose? They've already diluted the daylights out of it. No...the bigger buck for upper management would come from announcing it after the split. My view...dim..but valid if only for me as a holder for about 8 years.
In .06 shares to settle ( and I didn't bother with the math). This means they are going to RS the heck out of us and those people wanted protections we can't get....or they'll sell....or we're onto something very good. Since I've been here since Aug of '06....I think we going to be porked over. Sadly. We'll see...see...see....lol.
The company can NOT disclose w/o the permission of the PI (Principal Investigator). For them to do that would be pretty bad...and lead to a possible loss of the permission to do a Clinical Trial. It's out of their hands.
The Principal Investigator, not Advanced Cell, is the entity who is responsible for providing details on any Clinical Trials. They provide if Advanced Cell were to release data w/o their approval, end of Trial in a heartbeat.
I don't know why the CBS rumor is running around. However...the last time ACT made ABC's BWS and, aside from the company holding off on that news (which I had ferreted out and put here first a good month before Advanced Cell broke the news I will add) until the day before..., the company that had done the financing sold EVERY LAST SHARE AT THE BID WHICH DID NOTHING FOR US at all. To make matters worse...we had to sit and smile as Bill Caldwell explained how disappointed he was with that reality holding true. Now did Advanced Cell hold that news about being on the BWS special too long? I don't know. What I do know is that the Capital Company they dealt with got those shares and sold them at the darn bid the very same day. We sold 13 million shares in 6 minutes at the darn BID and it stayed like that all day. The bad news is that the Science Channel isn't Barbara Walters but the good news is we're also years into a clinical trial and sitting on results that will keep the ball moving.
Do I want a TV pop. Yup. But, as I mentioned above, I don't want to be sitting behind a VC who is undercutting the value by selling into the news as occurred last time with BWS.
Monday...my bad. The program airs on MONDAY...M...O..N...D...A...Y. Opps....
Oh...hey...to the douches with the two thumbs down....how about one of them up each of your parents #$%$.....LOL. C'Ya in the wormhole with Mr. Hawkin.
The link wont post here. However, Try going to LocateTV...look up Monday, Feb 4th, 10 PM.
Manelle K. Jose (kinda, sorta, way better).
Hey folks. I've been a holder of the stock since 2006. Made a ton of friends, a pretty good amount of money on the Aug, '06 news, etc. It pains me to say it BUT the company has continued down the line of increasing the personal wealth of the insiders on the backs of the common shareholders. Even as far back as Aug of 06, on the very night they announced the non-destruction of the embryo (which shot the value to $2.32 cents) they have been increasing share awards to the directors/principals. Now we face such a glut of shares that, FOR LONG-TIMERS, it makes no sense to hold (at least for me). So, I could go on and respond to the historical past of each increase of the outstanding share issuances but it would make no sense. Simply put, somewhere between 2006 and now the principals have decided to fund their own lifestyles on the backs of the longs (while issuing then selling over and over). Say what you like, Bill Caldwell was a great guy. Gary Rabin is nothing more than a short-order cook interested in just one thing....free shares. To my long time friends....I sold my 3.2 between .071 and .063.
Go to the Press Releases about the AMD/SMD Trials, write the info down...and then, AND ONLY when you actually are sure of what stages we are in on what level....THEN open your mouth(s). Do your own DD and DO NOT, under any circumstances, let what is printed here about where ACT is in their Trials influence your decision-making process.
Other than that.....just sit tight and relax. All is well....vision is improving....and there isn't a SINGLE EVENT OCCURRING that will impact the SAFTEY STUDY of this Phase I/II study.
Um corny....if you're going to bash...try to do it better. It's not a RS if you get 10:1. That would be a forward split. Are you too stupid to learn to list it the other way????? Do you even have a clue?????
C'mon...at least have a lick of COMMON SENSE. Peace out.
