I used to read and post daily but the board has nothing new to offer. Same ole bashing, same bunch of posters with different handles. Same control of the hedge shorts, same cycle of trading going on for five years. Still holding just like the funds and tutes are doing.....Buffet rules, Buy at a Value. Now is the time if you feel froggy jump in for some more shares at these prices. You can thank me later peeps.

Bashers, Bad Mouth's, and Nay Sayer's on ARNA's Stock.........The mutual fund investment houses are still holding, and increasing shares. Some of selling is from one fund only to be bought into another to fit the funds investment purpose. Morningstar reports as of 6/30/14 show a net increase in fund buying. All but two of the top 25 funds owning ARNA are rated 3 to 5 stars by Morningstar. Who do you trust, the bashers, or the top 25 professional money managers of the top 25 funds. The majority of the funds are sm - mid - & lg cap growth funds, and bio-tech ETF. They see and understand the growth & value potential of their investment.
Be patient and hold, you will be rewarded if you are that type of investor. The rest of this action is all short covering, day traders, and short term guru's making a few bucks. I have watched this stock trade for over five years, volatile, aggressive shorts, hit pieces, Friday OpeX take downs time and again. I hate it also, but bought cheap, added on the down sides, still above water, and not selling to these thieves. Thank me later.

But....NEVER TRUST THE STREET, and what, when, and how they control this stock!
Still Long and holding, I've seen this action several times before.

Powerful, Tricky & About To Lose Money

I tend to agree with all the facts you present. We will look back on this 6 to 12 months and say, " I am glad I did not sell last July. While other's are short term trader's on this, I hope they got their wallet picked trying to time the events. It's time to BUY at these prices...........Thank Me Later as we head back to $6.50 ish!

Rethink your position. TV ads are just a few weeks old, customers must see the ad, do some research on the product in depth, make a doctors appointment, see the doctor, get a script from the doctor, and then get it filled. From my viewpoint that is about a one month delay minimum from the time they saw the ad even if their doctor is aware of Belviq. Don't expect a miracle over the top script rise from the get-go. I am happy with the jump, and expect it will compound as patients go through the doctor visit cycle. You just can't jump up from your TV viewing seat and go buy it, it's a process of consumer action taking events to get off their dead #$%$ and do something.

    Sentiment: Buy

Eisai is paying the tab for the rep's and the tv ads, it's not out of Arena's pocket, so who cares.

Over 5 years long, watched all the UP's & Down's (manipulation vs actual facts). I highly suspect this is another orchestrated Wall Street gang of thieves getting desperate on their short position. No shares to unwind their position. Not happy with the news, or progress from other markets opening, or Jack's recent sell no matter the reason, it was fuel for the short fire. Eisai also has misjudged the sales projections, and slow getting out of the box in my view. All said, this is a BUY opportunity you will not see again on this stock.
Taken down for a reason......never trust the street. Still holding long, and on the upside, but would like to sell off 1/4th at a good price adding to my more stable investments with dividends.

    For the slow thinkers

I doubt if Eisai is even spending more than 3.5% of COS on expected revenue from the TV campaign on an annual basis. They have been to this dance several times.......get real slow thinking basher.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

It's about time for some news on Mexico and/or South America progress along with Canada. Lot's of room from many events to report progress.

The refer to week over week the gain/or loss the retail script reporting agency's on the Belviq sales.....up is good.

  • steveh8000 steveh8000 May 12, 2014 6:42 AM Flag

Correct, it's just math, and I don't expect any one can actually predict the week over week growth rates as the weekly count gets higher. I'll take a 2% weekly growth rate of 150,000 weekly scripts somewhere down the road. Your point is spot on the target message......The growth rate is compounding weekly, and there is substantial room for growth. The fact is, real growth is happening, ad program is working. Coke-Cola took a lifetime to build it's brand name recognition,

Holding, and may buy some more..........already own enough. Never trust the street, but buy at a value when you can. Now it's a value and time to grab some on the real cheap side of the trade.

Does not matter, just hedge trading the same shares over and over again in 100 share lot's.

  • Bought 1000 shares yesterday, only green thing on my board today as the S&P, Dow, Nasdaq take a tumble.
A good story here worth a small risk. Pump and dump maybe a little, but these type stocks can move quickly with app development success. Give me the buy out for a quick buck and i'll be on my way. Risk with potential reward......don't bet the whole farm, or your kids college fund.
