I don't care who it is, I'll take a HUD on a Schwin if it makes a buck. I don't think Tokman has the ability to sell anything to anybody.
You're right White, I need $8 to get even and I don't have any illusions that will happen. If it weren't for BA and INCY, I would of had a rotten year. Did the same DD with INCY I did here, that worked for me, this didn't. Still feel cheated by MVIS and Tokman. HOw many companies has he shown this tech to and met with over the past five years and have almost nothing to show for his efforts? Two possibilities in my opinion. First, the tech is no dam good and never will be or, second, Tokman is the worst business man on the face of the earth. I still hold because I think it is number two. He has met with and named some of the biggest and best names in the business world and hasn't been able to convince them to put money up to develop this tech any further to the benefit of MVIS. Intel, Ford, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, list goes on and on. THese companies should of jumped on an opportunity to sew up this tech with an investment with MVIS and as far as I know, nobody has. Apple loves us is all I ever got from my investment in MVIS. Sensi is right, he is no good mommy.
Why basher, just stating facts. first bought at $5 and change and still here. Averaged down to my present position based on CC's and statements made by management which never panned out. Would welcome a contract that produces revenue and without one the Fortune 100 company is just another R&D deal. Patents are worth nothing until such a revenue producing contract arrives. And a lot of my investment was pre split. Seems all of you pumpers forget to mention that as well. This company has been a party for the managemet and a drain on retail investors. The financiers of this mess have made a bundle and love Tokman more than Sensi1 and the rest. Why these facts are immaterial to you folks puzzles me. Success would be celebrated by me as I have a large position, but reality tells me that Tokman is not the guy to bring this company to the end if the tech is what I think it is. Sorry, if you think that is bashing.
I believe in giving credit wher credit is due and Tokman is every bit as good at what he is doing as Madoff and Skilling. They don't have a thing on Tokman. If there is any justice in any of this it will be that good Ole AT will share a cell with one of them.
Ago we were at $3.40 a share. This is a record even for Tokman. I can't believe how bad a CEO this dumb bell is. Nothing in the PR department to help stablilize this mess. Looks as if a lot of folks just found out something we retail inivestors will have to find out connecting dots from the four corners of the world again.
Ok, but I will still settle for just once, just to give me confidence that he knows something about the tech. Just a little more than me.
As competitive as these markets are, don't you think it would be in there if the tech was ready? We know from the company that lasers are available in quantity and the price seems good according to them, so why isn't it turning up any where in consumer electronics or even in a production automobile? Tokman isn't telling the whole story that's why. According to him, everything is Honky Dorey and yet the pps and the street seem to disagree. I have been listening to him for 6 years now and every time he opens his mouth, everything is moving according to plan, which means he has sold another bundle of shares on promisses he hasn't been able to keep. Just once I would like him to get something right, just once.
THe huge jump Boeing made witht he 787 was bound to produce shake out problems and I think this is nothing more than that. Lithium batteries are here and going to be a part of our lives going forward in many products that will touch all of us in one way or another. It takes a company like Boeing to advance tech like this and Boeing is not afraid to invest in new tech. That is what made this company what it is and I watched it first hand for many years. Boeing always overshoots standards and nothing is lowered that puts the flying public at risk. In flight test we either met or in most cases exceeded all points and goals. Management seems to be focused on the bottom line and that is what is causing the problems in my opinion. Boeing always did it best and you are probably correct about the oursourcing being at the heart of the difficulties but Boeing will get it right. They never would of gone forward if they didn't know that.
The fact that Boeing is keeping the pps up and buying back shares to protect the company and its shareholders is a positive. The low pps for the development years was painful for sure, but that is the way of commercial aviation. When you lead you have to assume the risk, part of the business. The loss of JAL is a direct result of the outsourcing and quality and I hope we learn from it. Time will tell.
That is a nice profile 20 years ago. He had all the backing of GE and their cash and clout. Let me ask you this. How many companies has he shown, demonstrated, and contacted in the past five years with our product and has produced almost notohing? HOw many shows and conferences has he attended on our money and produced almost nothing? How many private suites have we used to show off our ground breaking tech to garner just one quality customer that has apparently moved on? In five years after "First and Goal" and all the other statements I could mention along with all the companies he mentioned and referenced, I see very little in improvements in the Gen2 engine. With all the partnerships we have supposedly forged with top names in their respective fields I expect real progress and I don't see it. Patents are worthless without a product or a top name using it. Many, many companies have toyed with our tech and nobody has taken the first step other than HUD with Pioneer. If the tech is what I thought it was when I first found it then Tokman is not the man to take it forward, that simple. He is living off the reputation he made at GE under supervision and he just ain't got what it takes. JMHO
Say what you will about smear jobs etc, but when a company's top customers go else where for the same product and others return aircraft, and customers like ILFC start complaining loudly, you got a problem. Arrogance will not win the day here. Time to knuckle down and get it right. I am wondering why these problems didn't show themselves in flight testing? I thought it was the job if flight test to run the product just as hard as the customer was going to run them. I know a lot of it is subcontractor work, but still the quality is reflected on BA. Have things changed so much in 15 years since I left? Have we gotten lazy?
This company's position becomes clearer every day I read this board. I can't believe all the name calling and insults that persist day in and day out with no information on the tech or the company. Watching Tokman run this outfit for the past 6 years I would welcome a sale of the patents for five bucks and it would feel as if I stole somebody's money. I have no faith in Tokman or the management of this company. After a dilution just two weeks ago I feel we are about to experience another one soon. After listening to 6 years worth of Conference Calls I can honestly say I don't care if I ever hear another MVIS CC. I can't stand to hear him say, "Great question" to which there is no real answer time and time again. Selll the dam patents and move on. Depending on pumpers to post info from the four corners of the world and connecting MVIS to any of it has become a daily routine and goes nowhere. Appreciate the efforts but reality sucks.
How's that silent business model working for you AT? Should be hearing from the NASDAQ soon. TIme for another RS to keep the model going. Nothing to say because there's nothing to say.
And that is the reason for the silence. Nothing to offer shareholders. Interest ebbing from the very longs and difficult to attract newbies. NDA's my butt.
