I guarantee you that we will never know the royalty rate. We may get close if we are lucky, but I can guarantee that MVIS will do everything in its power to cloud the rate so nobody knows what it is. Why would they, it puts a lid on every proposal going forward. They will hide it like it was the last candy bar on halloween.
Well, I think you are going to get a surprise because I don't think they are any where near $5. I think Sony was kicking Alec Tokman all over the room when they negotiated this contract. I am waiting for numbers as the rest of you, but I am not nearly as encouraged as the rest of you are. Hope you are right.
Nice read, everybody happy and looking forward. I am just as happy as the rest of you with one exception. I want another order just to show me that we can compete with Sony. Right now they are our sole customer. I am afraid that we will be totally dependent on Sony from here on out and down the road they will take us out. At what price is the big question. I suppose I should put those thoughts aside for the time being and rejoice at them being our partner, but I am watching this gorilla closely as I feed him.
I kinda like pay for performance, so yep, I do mind. Increase shareholder value and market cap and I agree.
True enough, and spotting the liars and con artists goes a long way in figuring out those that are trustworthy and those who are in it for other reasons. It is great to buy the BA's and the LMT's who seem to have to fess up when they miss forecasts etc and have to answer to Institutional investors. I always felt that management should be accountable for their actions, either to shareholders or the SEC. That doesn't happen any more. Retail investors are the prey of the hedge funds and such with no regulation for naked shorting or High Frequency gang. You can't really invest in America these days and feel safe about your money. Goldman took care of that with Chris Cox and the blessing of George Bush. I'm 73 and have seen the game change a lot over the years and there isn't any going back. The big money goes to the top 1% and it's going to stay that way. Folks just can't organize themselves and demand change, the big guys own us. I do like the challenge though.
They are silent because Tokman lied back in 2009 and 2010 dropping every big name he could to give us the illusion that things were close to commercialization. I remember him telling an analyst to have patience just a little longer for laser quantities. I could quote all afternoon his misleading statements as can many of you. The point is that those that sourced info, Anderson, Hillerby, Guttag etc were called false profits by Tokman and they were all closer than Tokman by a long shot. It was all done to get retail investors money as the institutions knew better and stayed away. This opened the door to the shorts who figured out early enough that Tokman had fallen silent and most likely due to legal issues he was close to crossing. That in my opinion is why they are so brazen today. They know things have changed for us, but it doesn't matter to them as Tokman is sitting on news that could change things over night and won't say anything using NDA's as a front to satisfy the legal dept.
The small retail investors who have paid all the bills have to endure all this manipulation and easy money Tokman has bestowed on the shorts and we have to sit and wait for Institutions to decide if he is trustworthy or not before they jump aboard. He will continue to ignore the long retail investors and support the short side of the house until our partners change the game. Just my opinion gang but have held this theory for a long time.
I believe you are right. I think the lawyers put a muzzle on him and told him to keep his mouth shut. I put good money to work on those optimistic pumps. Thought he sounded like he knew his business, my expensive mistake. Would like to see some upward movement before I take this years RMD's. That always sucks knowing what I paid for those early shares.
Decent assessment and a concern worth noting. Fan was a big item when I saw it. CC's are not Tokmans best area by along shot. Can't see if he is smiling so how will we know to be bullish? Seems that is the best clue for a lot here. Need an order pre CC.
We will definitely sweet. It is going to be difficult to try to figure out all the numbers.
I can guarantee that the numbers we get in Q1 CC will be so shrouded and hidden we will have to dig deep to figure out how good a deal we got from Sony.
