  • Words can't describe how happy and pleased I am to see them beating the earning again this quarter. Zacks Research advised me to buy the stock as its charts showed the signal of strong buy. I already owned and I added more. Met a senior analyst at my son's wedding who works for Bloomberg to say Apple IWATCH sales is poor because there are still large number of people out there prefer to wear luxurious watches to show status when they already have luxurious phones.

  • Why US Steel Could Gain 75%

    By Ben Levisohn

JPMorgan’s Michael Gambardella and team contend a trade case filed by U.S. Steel (X), Arcelor Mittal (MT), Nucor (NUE), Steel Dynamics (STLD), and AK Steel (AKS) should help provide a big boost to U.S. Steel, enough to make it worth of their Americas Focus List. They explain why:

    Bloomberg News

We added U.S. Steel to the U.S. Analyst Focus List at Overweight as we think the pending steel trade cases could act as positive near-term catalysts to more than offset the headwind of a strong U.S. dollar. Several domestic steel producers, including U.S. Steel, recently filed trade cases targeting unfairly traded hot-rolled sheet, cold-rolled sheet, and corrosion-resistant steel. These pending trade cases cover nearly all carbon sheet products and a significant percentage of the U.S. sheet market supply (equivalent to about 15% or about the size of U.S. Steel’s domestic market share). In our view, we have hit a positive inflection point in near-term domestic steel fundamentals. While it is difficult to predict the outcome of these cases, they have the potential to lock out a significant share of domestic sheet supply which could drive up prices (and stocks) quickly and significantly. As the largest integrated domestic steel producer coupled with the company’s Carnegie Way transformation, U.S. Steel has significant leverage to an improvement in steel prices. While U.S. Steel is still negotiating its domestic labor contract, we believe a reasonable settlement will occur before the announcement of the preliminary duties on the first corrosion-resistant trade case in November. Our December 2016 price target is $28, which is based on the stock’s long-term average EV/EBITDA multiple of 5.5x applied to our 2016 EBITDA estimate.

Gambardella upgraded AK Steel on July 30 for similar reasons, while Barron’s Sandra Ward put an identical price target on U.S. Steel on August 22.

JetBlue Airways (JBLU) Firing on All Cylinders: Invest Now
    Zacks By Zacks Equity Research

On Aug 31, 2015, we issued an updated research report on Long Island City, NY-based low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways Corporation JBLU.

This Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) company has been the shining star of the airline industry this year. Shares of JetBlue Airways have gained over 40% so far this year with further upside expected on the back of strong second-quarter 2015 results, impressive traffic data and constant efforts to expand.

    Coming Off a Strong Quarter

The carrier performed impressively in the second quarter of 2015. Earnings more than doubled on a year-over-year basis to 44 cents per share. The bottom line benefited from low fuel costs. This is because fuel costs account for a major chunk of an airline company's operating expenses. Consequently, the persistent drop in oil prices has significantly boosted the carrier’s bottom line.

The company projects capacity to increase in the band of 8.5% to 10.5% in the third quarter and in the 7% to 9% range in 2015. Additionally, it now expects annual capacity growth at the higher end of the projected 7–9% range. Expecting oil prices to remain weak, the carrier projects fuel costs at $1.95 per gallon (inclusive of fuel hedges and fuel taxes) for the third quarter.

truthseekerguy, thank you for posting your position so as your confidence vote of JCP. I have JCP for over 8 months based on $10.35, $9.25 and low $7 costs. I ended up holding 71,000 shares. Through days and months of the beating and bashing, I hold all my shares with full confidence that this over 200 year company that my mother in law love so much shopping at through out her whole life will prevail. The new CEO is a brilliant leader and he is making great decision by bringing in more talented skill managers from Home Depot. I see much improved customer service, inventory control, store front appearance and unique niche of the brand name products. I also love the E-Solan and the cosmetic part of the new business they added. Let's see. I am hoping to see JCP prevails recovers back up to $20!

MOV is still way under valued. They have beat earning last quarter and again this quarter. The stock price shall be no less than $32 based on the outstanding earning performance two quarters in the row to be honest. I am with you on this stock as a strong buy.

You are very smart trader, bulls. I got in Micron around $9 back in 2010 and kept adding between $7 to $8. I sold everything around $28 to see it went all the way over $43 then got back in at high $26 after it pulled back from high $43. I know the late CEO very well, but not the new one. Hope the new one is able to lead the company to $50 in the next two years.

John, I had ran a business for over 22 years with Micron and Intel my closest working business partner. I am speechless to see the stock got killed from high $43 to $15 less than two years while the cash flow and EPS of the company is in its highest ever since the year of 2000. With so many valuable patents that Micron owns, the company has the worth between $28 to $30 at least. This market is all about what have you done for me lately and kick it while it's down. I own over 20,000 shares starting high $26 and keep on adding as well. Be patient.

You are pretty lucky to catch such price when it was over $64 after a strong earning beat more than a few days ago.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • It looks like no matter they beat earning, keep guidance or not, the market is in the punishing mode anyway. Look at mbly beating earning and revenue consistently with a strong growth, stock was just $64 4 days ago upon a strong earning report. Shorts shot it down anyway. There are a lot of thieves want to take shares from all the weak hand.

It was just $64 4 days ago after a very strong earning and revenue beat. I am pretty angry. Shorts have no shame.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • taking advantage of the China weakness. I am totally speechless and disappointed.

  • They are shameless. Those who suffered huge losses when they failed to bring Micron down and lost a whole bunch of money are all coming back out of the closet to make revenge by kicking it when it is down like investors don't know that the PC market is weak and the stock price has priced in and oversold.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • The ticket prices do not go down compare when the oil price was $98 and go all the way down to $40. The luggage charge does not go away either. Airlines are making so much profit that you will not believe. Barrons magazine covers that major airlines will have 50% upside into 2016.

It commonly happens in stock investing that investors miss the chance of buying winning stocks that they knew would stand out. Before they take the plunge, others get to know the hidden potential and enter into these stocks, pushing them out of reach.

So, instead of repenting, spotting the off-the-radar potential winners and immediately investing in them could be a smart decision.

One such company that looks well positioned for a solid gain, but has been overlooked by investors lately, is Mobileye N.V. (MBLY). This Electrical - Miscellaneous Components stock has actually seen estimates rise over the past 30 days for the current fiscal year by about 34.8%. But that is not yet reflected in its price, as the stock lost 1.2% over the past month.

I am really puzzled. My kids and I shop a lot on Groupon almost few times a month at least. How does the stock being traded this low. I would think it shall be trading at $10.

  • it triggered people to take profit. I hope those who took profit don't come back to this stock again because they don't deserve the gains and be in JCP. Moreover, I like to see them kick themselves and cry loudly when the stock reaches $15.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • I have owned so many shares of this stock that I am speechless to see where it is today.

  • With the low target of $16. What happens to our stock now today?

stockracker, are we going higher over $28, do you think? I have seen NTI striving more than a few times toward $30 in the last 12 months. Please let us know your projection about NTI. Looks like WNR is putting more investment in NTI.
