I own 50k going back to $22 era before reverse stock split which is another tell-tell sign that the company is doing bad. I am just speechless that you plan on adding another 150k shares. You are a smart investor, I take it. What makes you believe this company is worth a penny considering daily trading volume average is 140k on less than $1.50 share stock and declining revenue? I am f*ing stuck here just like most investors on this board anyway, so please humor me (and all of us) with your insight.
I brought up the idea about class action lawsuit out of frustration and you are beginning to annoy me now.
I like people who make common sense and you are not one of them.
We all heard what you had to say.
But I am interested in hearing the opinions of investors such as spook2b or all555american.
If going after MLNK thru class action lawsuit, maybe that is not the best idea. But as a group of investor how about taking a collective action against company? We are all here because we believed in the management. over the years. But they have resented and delivered nothing but failed policy and ideas. Just give me a few company names here, if you can share, where the company stock price goes only in one direction like Modus Link has been. Let's not use Blackberry because it has at least a GLOBAL presence and to this date a lot of shares are traded daily.
"Welcome to my ignore list." -- Please do. I think we all heard you clearly and understand your position.
"You make jackass comments ..." -- WOW, I did not expect such an outrage. I was expecting civil responses guided by intelligence such as from All555american or Spook2b so that I get an idea where everyone is. When we buy stocks, we give our trust to the company (and people who manage the company) believing that whatever actions they take will increase shareholders value. But that has not been happening qtr after qtr, year after year.
It is natural that investors get upset when ROI is simply NOT there for YEARS. It is like Cleveland Browns who can't catch a break. No, I would say what has been happening to MNLK is much worse than BROWNS.
What I like to see happen is to start the conversation among MNLK investors thru private forum. I don't know what it would be, but certainly I welcome suggestions from everyone.
The goal is simple. We need to see the value of the company grow. We can't let current management team do what it has been doing to the company. IT IS SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE. Having a different leader makes a lot of difference. Take a look at Phil Jackson, Bob Knight, Bill Belichick to name a few. They know HOW TO WIN!
Having said that, I await your suggestions.
I agree with you that reaching IPO level is like a dream come true, but highly unlikely given how competitive market is in that sector, unless VG becomes a "buyout" target. Having said that, if you don't mind sharing, at what price(s) did you buy VG over the years? Thanks in advance.
Given time, the street will recognize the long-term benefit of this acquisition and will be reflected on stock price. The question is when. I predict that if the stock price can stay between $4 and $4.20, then it will be a good sign.
Let's hear from others who voiced their opinions, good or bad, on this board in the last 6 months:
I just can't imagine all these investors above are happy with the stock price.
Is bobo the only voice on this board? Although I do not disagree with bobo's opinion, I just can't believe that bobo is the only one who has an opinion about this ... unbelievable!!!
I have to believe that acquiring Nexmo is hurting the stock price at this point and the street is showing it. But this is NOT going to be a long term thing. We just need to figure out when would be a good entry point when dust settles.
I am just dumbfounded here. Never seen anything like t his since I got into stock market 30 years ago.
I am sure a lot of VG investors are witnessing something never seen before.
This is FRAUD!!!
If not, someone is manipulating stock price to buy a large quantity at a low price before the run-up.
Still this is crazy.
I own VONAGE & Blackberry stocks and let me share with you as to how a leadership with different approach can turn the company around. First Vonage. Since their IPO $16/share, the stock has been on a decline for a long time. Recently they brought in an executive from GOOGLE and he started making purchases with cash on hand and look where they are now. Their revenue is growing and they continuously are purchasing other businesses to grow their presence. Another story is BlackBerry. This company has become virtually non relevant in cell phone market places in recent years. But they brought in a "Turn-around expert" as a new CEO and he saw a great potential in software market. He is focusing on growing revenue from software side (acknowledging that they can't compete against APPLE and SAMSUNG in phone hardware).
This is how you turn the company around.
At least we as shareholders need to make current management accountable.
I know there are many smart people who own MNLK stocks with the hope that someday and somehow this company will go back to where it used to be. I DO NOT THINK SO. It takes a visionary CEO to do that and I simply DO NOT SEE that in current management.
So who is out there who agrees with my accessment and willing to take these incompetent people to the court? I am not in favor of enriching attorneys. But we need to use an attorney to take them to court.
Let me ask you again (I know there are a lot out there who have followed this company since CMGI days).
Is there anyone who is interested in sharing legal cost to take this company to the trial? (I am talking about class action lawsuit)
Way to go VONAGE! This is how you grow your revenue with cash on hand.
When it reached $7 last year, I thought that it was too much too soon. $4.40 was too low considering the growth in business sector. With favorable quarterly report this morning, I think it will get back to $5.50 and perhaps to $6.50 in a week. If not, we will be range-bound between low $4 and mid $4. I believe that they should create a spin-off company "VONAGE BUSINESS" to increase shareholders value. This retail business is and will continuously be a drag.
When I was told by my friend about cmgi, that was when they were traded around $350-$400. Everything was ridiculously overpriced anyway back then. So by your own admission that you are going to increase your shares to 150K, you must really believe in the future of this this company. Please explain to me, if you don't mind, what you see that I and the street (sentiment reflected in current stock price/trend) don't see about this company.
I bought my shares where they were $22 (before reverse split) and also when it was above $5. I can't contribute this to anything else other than mismanagement by incompetent group of people. Smart management team will never sit on that kind of cash and take no action for so many years to increase the revenue.
Now I have shared where I come from, what leads you to believe that this company will be prosperous once again?
