The concerted effort from last weeks three presentations must have sparked some interest. As allen suggested read the 10Q and then look at Hawkley's presentation, that was a good one. They have 30 million in the bank, and the market value is only 60 some million, which puts all of the plants combined worth only 30 some million. Something needs to be adjustment, like the share price. It should be at least $1-1.50 without any else. Hawlkey made a statement, suggesting they are shooting for a billion dollar company by around 2020. Also there will be two or three more profitable acquisitions this year, then the good news on El Ceibillo finally ready to start digging again. All and all this baby is ready to break out of the doldrums.
Yes that is unusual for EFOI to be so early, but good for them, can't wait. Should help slow down the flipping daytraders.
still the flippers are making the money, but thanks for your effort.
Have a good weekend.
amel, thanks for keeping investors updated, but why can't the company do it. The lack of hard news is why the day traders can keep flipping the stock and making money, IMO.
Being a small investors and not smart enough or nibble enough to flip stocks, I regularly just sit and watch my profits go up in smoke, while the day traders rake in the doe. The market just isn't the place to be for small investors with dreams of holding stock in a good small growing company for the long-term, as Buffet tells investors. You do your DD and think you know the company, but it doesn't really matter, just flip the stock and forget about the FA seems to be the only way to make money.
Again, thanks for your effort, but if the investment world doesn't know, it does little good for the SP, IMO.
Thanks for the heads up. It did not show up on my Yahoo screen I use to check on stocks. Agree with allen, good news. One of the many projects Hawkley made note of to reach HTM billion dollar market cap by 2020..
They are moving ahead and should be ready by early 2018. Sweet..."The new modified schedule has the commercial operation date for the first phase of the project occurring during the second quarter of 2018."
Did anyone attend the talks by Gille's yesterday or today. Or has heard anything interesting from the talks? Could not find anything on HTM website. thanks
Join the crowd philo, I am a novice at TA, but can dig into the FA. It is hard to imagine why people sell at these levels, no matter what the TA says about being oversold, or too high, or whatever. WYY has been working for this day when the world realize cybersecurty is the most important thing a company has to do to stay in business.
Steve and Jim have been doing a fine job over the years keeping WYY afloat and developing their product. Looking forward to the next CC, and to hear what Sam D has to say this time. It has always been a special treat to listen to his comments over the years. He certainly knows how to say it and I learned the some good stuff from him.
Nice volume so far today, suspect it will be at or near another record.
From what I can tell Gilles, sold 80,00, but bought 40,00 for his kids. So I guess it is bad and good news. Certainly looking at the longterm, but as Hawkely mentioned in his great presentation last Friday, they are expecting HTM to be a billion dollar company by 2020. So I can wait a little longer I guess, but it will give the flippers a lot to flip over.
Yes it was a great presentation. Mr Hawkley really knows his stuff, and is certainly gong-ho for the company,. I liked how he gave an explanation on the rise in the SP last year, and a reasonable explanation for the declined. Also mentioned management had some suspension of manipulation, but he was adamant that the SP should be higher, and more deserving of the companies real value. The market value of the company is only 60 million, yet they have 30 million in cash. Way too low at this time, should be at least $1.00 to $1.50.
He did a good job explain the current plant operation and future potential. Certain appears there will be at least one or two new acquisitions by the end of the year. Definitely exciting times for HTM. The next few weeks should be interesting, with two more presentations on the way, and news soon would not be out of the question.
Suggest all current or future investors listen to the presentation along with the questions at the end.
agree with mrd, been in this thing long enough to suspect they will take all the time they can before filing the Q. It has always been that way with EFOI, and most other small cap companies. They just do not have the manpower to push the Qs out earlier then they need to. But then again, the SP as of late has been pretty impressive, and maybe they will push it out earlier.
But agree with amel, in that we could see a PR soon on something, the SP is not moving up for nothing.
Day traders are having a field day with EFOI these days, with another new high today, lets see how the price ends today.
Agree, it should be an interesting CC, and hope they report sooner then they usually do, since they tend to wait until the last day possible.
Long to long, but still strong and willing to hang in there longer, since it would be a shame to jump ship at this point with a small profit when there is so much future potential.
Not bad, impressive up-time for two plants, and one had a minor upset. Will be interested in hopefully learning more during the CC.
"During the first quarter, our operations team continued to do an outstanding job of providing high operational availability at all of our facilities", said Dennis Gilles, Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Geothermal. "Our optimism for growth this year remains high considering the numerous opportunities we are evaluating."
Some good news for HTM.........Appears Geothermal is getting the recognition it deserves, finally....solar and wind is okay, but geothermal is 24/7/365.....seems Geothermal is the place to be these days....
1) Risch, Wyden Introduce Bill to Spur Geothermal Energy
“We thank Senators Wyden and Risch for their continued strong support of the geothermal industry with their introduction of the Geothermal Production Expansion Act,” said Doug Glaspey, President and COO of U.S. Geothermal, Inc. “This is an important piece that improves the federal leasing system and will help geothermal developers move projects toward production.”
2) Senators’ New GEO Act Pub date: Thursday, April 9, 2015 - 10:51
"We love geothermal and have seen it provide heating and cooling and, in more isolated cases, KW production. Tapping into the Earth's core ambient temperature and using little power to bring it to our buildings is an efficient way of using energy."
"We have seen geothermal used on a large scale in New Mexico as one of their main power companies brought on a new plant last year. Based on our experiences, we'd like to see Congress open up some of the public lands, with better permitting, for such use. "
Senators’ New GEO Act Addresses Geothermal Exploration Catch-22
3) Interesting comment by Doug, did not know that......." Doug Glaspey, President at US Geothermal said, “The team that started US Geothermal came to the geothermal industry from the mining industry, and one of our goals for success was to avoid Federal property if at all possible, because we knew how long it took to get through the permitting process. "
On to next week...
At first thought cool, then looked, it was only around 50,000 shares, but then again, the 3.7 million new shares purchased by Private Management Group of CA, seemed much more interesting, IMO. So thanks for making me look...
