The thing that most people who are invested or are SHORT in resource plays like HK don't understand is that the value in the company isn't necessarily in the production but in the acreage that is HBP, held by production. All buyout's in the e&p space are based on PUD value. So what people are missing is HK has about 50,000 net acres that is HBP in the Eagleford, that is worth prob 40k-50k per acre. Everytime they sink a well that is commercial (which is every single one in the Bakken and El Halcon) the value of that acreage just shot through the roof. For example HK has a 3,500 acre unit in the middle of the Permian which is HBP that they have no interest in doing anything with, it Is just laying on the books, but could be sold for prob 75 million dollars easily, just that one unit. I am looking for 12 by the end of 2014, and 15-20 in 2015.

As a man who owns 10,000 net acres of HBP leases in the Haynesville, I would personally love to see Ohio & PA make fracking illegal, I am not making $$ out of those regions & they are depressing the price of natural gas, but I have always been more of a business man than a patriot comrades lol

This chart is looking sooooo good I could f%$# it!!! Texted a friend to buy at 4.28, 15 minutes later told him never mind were back at 4.50, I have been expecting a technical sell off but I have never seen a bounce off a intraday low tested like we did today, this thing is stronger than 10 pounds of garlic! Also on the discussion of authorized shares I think they are just doing this for a long term corp option, but I got to thinking with the passing away of GDP founder a last week, GDP at a 800 million mkt cap is a supurb buyout candidate if the TMS is half as good as Floyd thinks it it!!! Chart wise, we break 4.60, we are at 4.80 in no time, 5 is smelling like $$$$$ have a good weekend!

You guys prob didn't notice in the latest filings that HK listed 7711corp as one of their subsidiaries, they were a small independent in Brazos County, I had an interest in one of their wells, by my 3s they had 29 wells holding about 10,000 to 15,000 acres! Again ALL HBP by producing at the time, the owner died and the family was feuding, and Floyd came in and bam bought that sucker!!!! Looking great for us!!!! Shorts take a look at PVA that is what your future is going to look like with HK!!!

the article says in a deal that could be worth as much as 400 million, and they interviewed a Baton Rouge landman lol, take the 250k net acres they bought in first deal x the amount that Apollo is gonna jv which is 2,000-2,500 an acre, there you go.

Guys this isn't a new purchase this is the same one from a few weeks ago which is getting recycled in the news cycle for some reason, EnCana was the seller on the original deal, HK took over all of their permits etc, I have no idea why everyone is thinking this is something else! That being said chart is looking lovely, 4.25 by next week & the seeking alpha guy comparing HK to an OTC listed company is an idiot! Good weekend everyone!

well that lawsuit did not stop them from buying Samsons acreage in Grimes & Walker county in December 2013, and they are poking around Madison. a 500 million purchase is a drop in the bucket for APC. I am pretty sure the offshore dept is isolated from the onshore one as well as budgets etc.

I can tell you for a fact that rumor is BS! Halcon bought a ton of acreage in Madison & Grimes from Energy & Exploration in 2012, They bought from CHK and than flipped to HK very quickly! Floyd is not about to sell it back to them and I don't think Energy could afford to buy the whole position will prob sell for 350 million to 500 million at this point with production. I do believe that Halcon does have an agreement with an operator to sell the acreage in these counties, I am guessing it is to Anadarko, but we will see soon enough!

They don't have 67 leases, they have 67 producing units. A unit could be one lease (almost never seen in East Texas) or a unit could have hundreds or thousands of leases included in it. just FYI HK has lots of HBP acreage over there, this acreage is included in the 130,000 net acres they have in East Texas which no one is giving them any proper valuation on whatsoever
