First Solar built a manufacturing plant in Mesa, AZ at a cost of $300 million and didn't ship one part from it. They sold it today for $100 million for a loss of $200 million. They sold for a loss when the real estate in Arizona has been trending upwards the last year.
They should have turned the building into a three ring circus. They have enough clowns to support it.
I’d like to hear everyone’s spin on why this is a smart move?
Starbucks isn't big enough to be making decision like this. The competition in the coffee market is spread over several chains and they just made a political play that will upset 50% of their customers. Sounds like a good time to short Starbucks shares.
Stupid is what stupid does. The sad fact is "we the people" keep electing unqualified individuals and then wonder why things went wrong. A good looking, well spoken person doesn't make them qualified to be in office. We can't all be Community Organizers. ; )
