Are you a day trader? Please do not take offense to this question. I am just curious why someone would get out of a stock to take a profit when they have stated "I think it is one of the best stocks in the market". If it is so good why not just stay in? I do not trade, I invest so it is hard to understand this mindset.
AMBA went up really fast and in my opinion this is a good thing. It may fall more. Don't panic. For those who have been here a while this is standard operating procedure. Go longs!
Scary thing is once you get up real high any hint of bad news and it can plummet. IMO we are approaching that level. I already feel greedy now but just cannot make myself sell. Will keep hanging in and hoping this party keeps going. Cause if you stay to long...........
I know. Wish I had a lot more than I do. But still to get a winner like this does cover up some of the mistakes from the past.
Maybe we are going to fast. But is hard to make a case for taking profits when the company is so positive about its prospects. June 2nd will be an interesting day, Go longs.
Manipulation has no relevance if you are long. It surprises me when people want to trade a stock like AMBA. Earnings blowing out each quarter. Projections for next quarter are very good, new businesses are continuing to come on and the old ones are delivering as well. Why trade it? Seems crazy to me.
GoPro Inc (NASDAQ: GPRO) stock is down more than 4 percent on Monday after Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi launched a wearable action camera that offers similar features as the GoPro Hero camera.
The new Yi Action Camera retails at $64, half the price of the GoPro Hero, which is available for $130. It features a 16-megapixel camera, which can shoot 1080p video at 60 frames per second, better than the Hero (which shoots 1080p video at 30 fps, or 720p film at 60 fps). The device also has a better image sensor than the Hero, and double the storage space.
Although the Yi will first be obtainable in China only, analysts are already speculating about an international release.

The bar has been raised for them. If they do not hit an absolute home run I feel like we may lose a lot of what we have gained recently. These guys are very forthright in their guidance so if they give a rosy picture we could rock some more. But if even slightly off expectations again watch out. Just my .02.
Agree with John. I doubt the management at Ambarella thinks like a short term trader. By that I mean they are in this for the long term and could care less if their earnings are out of the park, in line or below consensus estimates for motivation to speak or not speak next week. They are trying to build a product that is everywhere and makes them (and us) a lot of money way into the future. As a long term investor I think this is a prime candidate.
