We have had more return requests in the last week than the in last six months...What is going on? Some of the reasons are ludicrous. For example, one customer says his order included extra items, as stated in the listing, but he didn't want the extra items, another customer requested a return 15 minutes after he signed for the item, claiming it does not suit his needs, He bought a Makita table saw, but it doesn't suit his needs? Huh? Why buy it if you don't need a table saw? Another customer wants to return an item because it functions as stated, but that;s not good enough for him, then we have another customer who apparently claims the item he ordered is the wrong item, he doesn't need it, however after closer inspection of his address, we determined, no body lives at his address, it is an abandoned house..The Post office never delivered the item, how is he going to return it ???? .We have a few more as well, but at least those customers had some legitimate concerns. Something is just not right,,,we have never had this many return requests with so many ludicrous reasons.
Ebay has a serious problem with their system handling tracking numbers. It will NOT allow a tracking number to be entered more than once. THAT"S A BIG PROBLEM FOR EBAY. Here's why. On occasion we need to have an item dropped shipped which was ordered from us on Ebay. We would like to use another Ebay seller to handle the drop shipment, but because Ebay will not allow us to re-enter the tracking number we receive from the Ebay drop shipper, we often go elsewhere to have the order fulfilled for us. All Ebay has to do to fix this problem is simply ask the buyer if they are having the item drop shipped, The buyer enters (YES) at that point the system can allow a re-entry ( just once) of the tracking number. This is a relatively simple amount code to do this. C'MON EBAY...FIX THIS....YOU WILL MAKE MONEY!
We shipped an item to Puerto Rico, The customer received the item 9 days after his order was placed. This is considered late because the listing says 3 to 5 days plus 1 day processing time in the USA. Puerto Rico is NOT part of the USA. So this is now a defect on our ebay seller account. FIX THIS NOW EBAY !!!!! PUERTO RICO IS NOT PART OF THE USA!!!!!!!!!...IT SHOULD BE TREATED AS A FOREIGN ENTITY.
So many Ebay sellers are reporting very slow sales. We are certainly no exception, even with our 17 years experience on Ebay. Sales are very Erratic, We see sub-standard sales for a week or so and then ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for days. Ebays' search system appears to have serious problems from what we can tell, that's nothing new, but how about fixing it ....Ebay
Nobody is that stupid, even you.......Besides $10 bucks wasn't going to go very far anyway...But seriously, why do you guys always post this same "I just lost everything" message when a stock makes huge dump?......It's not amusing any more....I need something fresh, Like "I'm posting this from my 10th floor balcony..goodbye cruel Wooooooooooorrrrrrrrrllllllld.........SPLAT!!!"
You're both right, but the market was obviously not strong enough for a rate hike. It certainly can not take another hike. It will play out and likely go down to the 2013 breakout point or slightly lower depending on how fast it gets there.
We have over 1000 products in several categories. Automotive, Music, Home, Vintage, Computers and Electronics. Our sales on Ebay have been at least mediocre for years, but now our sales look like a chart of the recent price of oil. However, there should be no correlation....
We are seeing extremely slow sales right now. It's BAD! The end of last year was also bad, but right now is unprecedented............HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they're raising cash, they don't care if something good is going to happen!
Looks red to me....small caps are green though, barely , but after nearly a 30% drop in 6 months, they had to show some green at some point...small victory...Yep!
You could be right, but this market is rough. Any rally at this point is just a relief rally. we need a flush and then turnaound. Sort of saw one today
but after the amount of decline in such a short time frame we will need to see at one retest of the lows in the short term.
We had our worst month of the year. But some people faired worse ...here's a comment from a blog on Dec. 22, 2015"
"I just got burnt on eBay and I'm very angry. I've been selling for about 7 years and I have 100% positive feedback. I recently sold an item to a buyer who decided to pull a scam and say that the item was damaged, when it clearly was not! The buyer sent me a very poor picture that showed what looked like toothpaste rubbed onto a corner to make it look like damage. It was a very poor attempt. I explained to them that as stated in my ad, they have 14 days to return the product for a full refund. Instead, they chose to open a case against me and eBay allowed them to KEEP THE PRODUCT & GET A FULL REFUND!! I contacted eBay and specifically requested the item be returned, as the damage shown & described was so minimal that it didn't make sense for the buyer to get to keep it on top of getting a full refund. They decided in their favor anyway. I'm very upset and will probably be closing my eBay account."
YEP!....Last quarter's number were a direct result of stock buybacks, which apparently they are still doing. It's not a good sign when a company has to buy back their own stock to make their numbers. They are definitely in trouble. But they have a great opportunity to re-establish creditability with the sellers. It looks like they are trying something in that direction, but so far I 'm not seeing anything other the same old business busting policies. Bottom Line: Power sellers must be treated Special. You CAN NOT let a Zero Feedbacker steal merchandise from a 17 year veteran seller, using "NOT AS DESCRIBED" as a weapon....This a major problem. I will post our latest EBAY BUSINESS BUSTER situation later.
Another holiday season and another slowdown in our sales again. This happens every year at this time, Ten years ago it was completely opposite. Our sales were booming in the last three months of the year. It's like Ebay flipped OFF the switch to our Ebay store, This company is still playing business busting head games with the sellers, New CEO, or not.........IT'S THE SAME OLD NON-SENSE!!!!
You may have a legitimate NAD complaint, but in our experience the buyers are outright abusing Ebay's EASY return policy. Every time it;'s the same story "Not as described" or "Defective". When we get the item back, there is nothing wrong with it. The sellers are totally disgusted. For example, We have a buyer now filing a claim with paypal after 4 months. C'mon. there has to be a reasonable time limit to file a claim. Four months is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!!!........My advice, Don't buy anything on Ebay for more than $250....Lesson Learned!!!!!!
"Here are a few other reasons why your payments may be delayed:
- You have a Below Standard rating in your Seller Dashboard.
- You've started selling in a new category
- Your account shows unusual activity, such as a sudden increase of eBay Buyer Protection cases.
- You need to add tracking information to My eBay or to an eBay Buyer Protection case.
- You can see the status of your funds in My eBay and find out what you can do to get your funds more quickly by clicking the button at the bottom of this message.
Ebay did not mention the following reason -
- CUSTOMER ASKED WHERE HIS SHIPMENT WAS, NOT REALIZING IT WAS DELIVERED TO HIS FAMILY MEMBER 10 DAYS AGO, TWO DAYS AFTER HE ORDERED IT.
Feel free to add your experiences why your funds were held byy Ebay/ Paypal........by the way we have been selling on Ebay for 17 years with more than 500 THOUSDAND sales.
Now we have a new situation I don't recalll seeing before. This is probably due to the Ebay/Paypal split up. The customer's item was delivered TEN days ago to the customer's Third party address. The customer did not realize where he had the item shipped, so he opened a "Buyer Request" causing the funds to be held by Paypal. The customer realized his mistake and closed his case, however, Paypal still has the funds on hold instead of returning the funds immediately after the case was closed. Very likely there is a communication lag betwen the two companies, but regardless, this is just another libellous situation caused by Ebay's TOO EASY RETURN POLICY!!!!!!
We shouldn't need to take a screenshot. Ebay should make it just as easy to close a case as it is to open one. For example, If a customer attempts to open a case "Not received", when the provided tracking information shows the item delivered to their address, the request is denied. That's an easy bit of code to apply to their system. JUST DO IT.....Mr. Wenig
