This company has been, the question will soon become, where does it go. I do not now own nor do I have plans to buy CDE anytime soon. BUT there are plenty of really beat down miners out there that may be worth a look. Ag continues to look soft and gold is not much better.
But mining production continues. Pretty much have to see what September brings.
They question remains, who has been slapped down, has cash and cash flow, no debt and has product.
I did just Pick up 700 shares of RIC in Canada. They probably suck too. Have played that also several times.
Now as for CDE,,, ever since they picked up KPMG, I could never understand the books and tended to slide into the "ROCKY" mode letting someone help me with dd. That is not right.
So CDE? They are beat down, don't know financials but they do have product. Their willingness to dilute always scared me. Too bad that mud slide didn't happen at 505 E Front Ave Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. The post Wheeler Company never flushed the toilet.

Yah Ed, I don't remember the exacts on it but whatever it was there was a difference between the Pre-stated amount, and what traded out. It could have been a previous 8-k or 10-k bank loan for shares deal too, that took place at/post RS. I don't recall. It is just that the numbers NEVER matched. I think 68mm is the number it was supposed to be. That said, there has been a 34.5 million share dilution since the split???!!! These are very bad people. that cuts the value by 50%. Holy Moly!!! You should stick with my number of 79 0r 89 million, these guys (mgt) wouldn't look like suchabuncha carpet baggers.
34,470,000 shares of dilution,,,, bet you guys miss Dennis The Menace Pumpkin Head Wheeler. What's he doing now anyway,,, adds for Breck Shampoo?
    Gosh I miss this board!!!

Professor, you of all people should never have to worry about trashing my posts. The problem is I,,, worry that your intent is to defend that piece of dung in the White House. So back to my point, let me finish it. The Solar companies and many other, took the 787 billion for shovel ready jobs, given to them by this administration, much like the 650 million spent on the Obama care web site, and made off with it after paying a kick back. It's called money laundering. But you already knew that, I guess. This is Chicago politics at its best. And that has nothing to do with the price of Silver, but what the bleep.
    OT
I am still sticking with my $1450 Au price target, NOV. 1st. Not looking good though last week.

You see, there was a clause in the CDE Charter that forbid them from having more that 750 Million total shares before the RS. They had I believe 690mm shares pre RS and post RS came out with 79mm-ish shares. Like Jack in the Bean Stalks magic beans,,, the share numbers just grew. Post RS you would think the total number of shares would become known, and closely watched. Heck if you have X number before RS they should have had X over 10 after RS. Any Extra shares, should have been forced to be purchased at the new market value. There were about 100 million shares pre split that were never covered, just given away after that run down to .39. . Thank your NYC broker dealers for that steaming pile of dung and bs they played on this stock.

Ladies!!! I leave this board for a couple of years and you are fighting like cats n dogs. What gives?
Ed is Ed, I am sure he gets it,,, more or less. I read his post. It was pretty good,,, ,,, ,,, for Ed. So be nice.
As for 50 cent shares, I bought a bunch of them babies. When the stock hit,,, I believe .90s I sold with the number of my overpriced shares that I could get out of for zero net loss/gain. (I had shares between 1.79 and 2.29). I made a few trades. In that low range. before R/S.
At RS I still had 300ish shares left.
I traded out of that for Zero net. Took me 2 Years pre/post R/S to trade out of this B-I-ich. Then I had some of my best stock hits on this stock a year or so after.
I see there are 103 mm shares now WOW, another 20% dilution over time since rs.
This is a very bad company with very bad mgt. who I am sure are in bed with Wally street. Big time in bed.

I guess you haven't been watching gold then? Gold is up very nice, ~10% in the last 50 days. Global unrest has only helped the price.
The problem with silver is a steady flow from the manufacturers (cde et al) and the industrial consumers have not kept up. supply and demand Ed.
They (whoever they are) are doing the same with silver now as was done with gold... Bring us your unwanted silver. Send me you cell phone I'll get you something.
Demand in China has gone down, thus silvers move is somewhat stalled. ,,, For now,,, .
Let us not forget your freaking #$%$ president and Solyndra type businesses. These solar companies were given tons of tax payer dollars. Set up shop. Paid off the politicians,,, ordered the Silver for the solar panels,,, saw it in their warehouse,,, and ran off with it. So they're not ordering Ag anymore.
You need another Greece or Italy or some National currency to go belly up for an Ag breakout.Возможно Украина. But if gold is up, can silver be far behind.

YOu said a mouthful Geo. One only needs to look at a politician or listen to the news and you begin to wonder just how stupid the main stream Metro media believes the rest of America to be. For this reason I have little use for the Metro crowd. Be it the News, Wall Street, or our screwed up political process. Whatever comes out of New York City is suspect preying on the public to be dumb as a fence post. Of course I believe NYC (Wall St and the Press) and Washington DC to be a kindred spirit.
I still hold to my previous prediction Au, $1450 Nov. 1st 2014. Haven't put a # on Ag yet but I will.

Gave Balack Obama an open checkbook for the next 13 months ??? Are you bleeping me?
Heck, even this pig may be able to survive without an RS. Stormy prediction: Gold 1450 by Nov 1st. After that, Forgetaboutit. Oh and if you were worried about Harriet Reid not passing it, forget about that too. That slimy commie pinko it wetting his pampers over this open checkbook so he can give money to the undocumented democrats that he plans on bringing in the Country on the backs of the ever dwindling working class.
I don't believe there are many Democrats left in the Democrat party. Just fascist whackos and academia (redundant).
Speaking of which, where is professor lpet these days? Haven't seen any of his posts.

Wow, that was fun. If there is any oppressed group that I forgot to insult in that post please notify me by mail with a self addressed stamped envelope wrapped neatly between 2 Mexican Libertads. My staff will reply asap.

Checking in on the CDE... In one hour one can pick up more data about a company than reading any other company board for a year,,, kinda. Have to be able to sort out the noise which I learned years ago.
It is good to see that Ag settled in around $20 and and 1250ish on gold. Not going to P/u any cde any time soon and but I do watch it. I'm not sure when PMs will bottom but volume and price sure jump when Ag hits sub 19.50 and Au at low 1200s over the past month or so. Just no legs.
So I wait for a sector reversal. It doesn't seem to matter how much money gets printed,,, weird... One would think that would drive PM prices but not yet. A tangled web they weave.
Hope everyone fared well through the Holidays and good luck with your New Years Revolutions...
    Better days,
    storm out
