Comparables are $0.32 eps on $43.5mm in revenue. The analyst covering is expecting $0.47 eps. I'd like to see north of $0.50 eps and some positive updates on the acquisition and new business. Company is executing well so far this year.

  • Seems like we went down today in sympathy to PCAR & NAV. My take, PCAR earnings weren't bad but market seems to be worried about the truck cycle peaking. Don't think it is a peak with a cliff drop off though, more of a plateau or leveling off with the primary driver the lack of drivers for the industry acting as a governor. Incentives will be offered by firms and government to address that and fill jobs I'd think.

What's not accounted for, CMT's efforts to grow and expand, strong balance sheet, efficient management, and additional margin expansion. Look at AEPI and what it has done this month. Dropped a bit after earnings in September but has since rallied from $57 to $83. AEPI, btw, is #2 in its IBD industry group 2nd only to CMT. They sales didn't expand much but earnings soared on lower resin costs driven by cheap oil. I'd expect that to be a similar situation with CMT material costs but revenues should increase more.

Technically, check out a monthly chart where each candle is a month. It is a real tight consolidation on lower and lower monthly volume. Don't forget there is a still a shelf offering for acquisitions and no poison pill in case there is a suitor firm. Also, insider buy from the new director though not sure if that was voluntary or mandated.

Still looks good to me, IMHO. Do your own DD though...

Days to Cover is at 12

Just saying with volume at these levels it would take shorts about 3 weeks to cover the short interest. That puts us right around earnings time. Sure they won't all cover, but their buying should increase the price enough to generate additional buying interest which help perpetuate the squeeze.

Cup or just a straight rounded bottom consolidation. One thing is clear about it technically at this point and that's that it is forming the right side. Could be in for some fireworks tomorrow to close out the week with a close above $22.

Time to raise the price. Close back above $20?

Just Jump already Jumpy.....starting to think you are short or a closet paid basher.

Seems like shorts are pretry bold knowing longs won't take a stand and defend the price of the stock. Getting pushed around like nobody's business today. Thank goodness there is no long a poison pill. Haven't seen an insider sell since Hellmold either. At some point this becomes a target.....why build it when you can buy it cheap.

Yeah, saw that on my Google Alerts. Who knows, he doesn't have much left. Maybe he will sell the rest and go short since he apparently has absolutely no faith in the long-term future of the company.

    Cup & Handle Breakout

It's a bear trap. They shorted it only because it went up so fast...not a good reason to short or at least to stay short. Now too many are caught and with it being almost 7 days for all those shares to get covered they are in a pickle.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

The float is so small and with so many shorts(408,888) now they will raise the price on this extremely fast. Doesn't even need any news for this to happen, just the market and supply/demand dynamics of this stock now. Think Volkswagen when Porsche created a squeeze, ERS, TZOO back in 2005 & 2006. Buy on the way up because once it breaks $30 it will move like you won't believe. I'm talking going parabolic. They will mark the price up until shorty screams uncle and gets a margin call to force his cover.

Do your own due diligence folks and good luck.
