  • Closing stores......and they are empty stores. Continuously reducing sales and profit JUST so they can beat lowered projections.....and everyone is calling this a growth stock. This stock is currently priced as if it has proven it is recovering and is growing sales and profits at 200%. This is not the case. The stores are empty and everything is marked down and still not selling. ANF was built on retail price points, and now everything is 40 to up to 70% off. Supreme Court religious bias cases, soft teen porn rebellion, too cool attitude, cheating managers out of pay, not adjusting international stores to any local culture, failed flagship store concept and analyst are saying this is at bottom and is a growth stock. Good luck with that. EVERY bear issue is fact. Brand issues are real with the Supreme Court and stupid statements of former CEO. Lost court cases have piled up against this brand. Empty stores are a fact. But the bull issues are all speculation and reduced projections. And bulls do not seem to ever ask if the customers will come back. Customers is never an issue becasue we are at an INFLECTION POINT and this stock should soar !!!! I'll go with the facts and the custovers and the customers are gone. Reduce the numbers again experts.

  • Does anyone think ANF's defense holds water? According to ANF's defense: “She would’ve had to say in an interview, ‘I wear this headscarf because of my religion and have to wear it and need an accommodation,’” said Lucretia Clemons, an employment lawyer and partner at the Philadelphia office of Ballard Spahr who has followed the case closely for years. “It’s an unusual case. Abercrombie & Fitch admits they didn’t hire her because of her headscarf. That rarely happens.”

Should the Supreme Court decide in Abercombie’s favor, the consequences could be damaging for diversity in the workforce, according to Clemons. “Employers who are at the forefront of diversity practices deal with these issues in very different ways. The focus is on being inclusive. While Abercrombie’s policy is about their look and their brand, most employers in my experience wouldn’t care about that. They would want a good employee. And they’d make the accommodation.” ANF discriminates. They do not want good employees, They wanted employees that looked cool. And that ain't very cool.

  • There you go.....See how easy it is to come to an Abercrombie and Fitch stock board and actually talk about the topic at hand. I really wish you would take your uninformed political discussion you have with yourself and head to a board that may have interest in your nothing discussions with yourself. THIS IS AN ANF STOCK BOARD.

I did two days ago......Business was as usual. Dark store, empty, no custometrs, smelly.......Big red and white sign out from ENTIRE STORE 50% off.....It would appear they are having a liquidation sale prior to bankruptcy to generate cash flow to pay off the insiders. The hedge funds and institutions using the accounting firms that are paid to invent non-GAAP adjustments continue to be able to hold this stock at double its valuation as a dying teen brand with declining sales, declining income, empty stores and a very negative public trial with the Supreme Court against is practcve of hiring only cool people using religious discrimination.

No.....Tiffany is about quality and a trusted brand. Tiffany does not want its inventory of questionable distributors. Tiffany has it sources of stones and metals. And TIF already has a internet presence that is just as good as NILE. NILE has a done a good job hiding customer returns and unsatisfied customers. And yes......if you review regular compensation against what they put out in stock compensation and options, you have to question has bad insiders are taking cash out of this company.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • I am constantly amazed how the market ignores the games that the hedge funds pay the accountants to play. Crazy adjustments to earnings, adding a week to meet lowered sales, removing all mention of the HUGE slash to 2015 numbers. Without week 14 sales would have declined Q/Q but they had all ready printed the press release NILE BEATS (lowered numbers) so they added a week of sales,. I wonder if they added the appropriate expenses. Note the stock compensation of this company. This is an insider company, The only think that shines is the bank account of the insiders.

  • 3rd Time Not a Charm for Abercrombie; Loses 3rd Hijab Case
Hani Khan worked at Abercrombie & Fitch's Hollister-branded store in San Mateo, California, for approximately five months. She was an "impact associate," which meant her primary duties were in the stockroom. According to a press release by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, she was initially asked to match the colors of her hijab, or headscarf, to Hollister colors, which she did. In February 2010, however, she was fired for violating the company's "Look Policy," after the company changed course and ordered her to stop wearing her religiously required headscarf, which she refused to do. Right....ANF had no idea it was discriminating and then defends discrimination because it is their policy to discriminate.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • I just did some research on this and ANF has previously settle TWO cases in California where they refused to hire one person and fired another for wearing the religious headdress. Guilty. Now they are claiming in this case, this is their DEFENSE, that Abercrombie did not know that the religious headdress was a religious headdress. Guilty. Whaaaaaaaaa......So in two previous cases they settled for religious discrimination, and now they are claiming they did not know the religious headdress was religious? Wow. Shouldn't the stock be up today on this great Supreme Court defense?

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • In an effort to eliminate the middle man, which are the AbercrombieFitch stores, Goodwill will buy ANF in order to streamline the process of getting ANF goods to their shelves and practice FAST FASHION delivery. Because most ANF branded clothing winds up in Goodwill Stores, Goodwill Industries feels it is best to buy the remaining inventory since it will all wind up in Goodwill stores anyway. ANF management is being financially rewarded for finally adopting fast fashion practices.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • I really thought this would be the quarter that ANF would end its payoff to the hedge fund traders that manipulate this stock. Long term debt, currently at 347 million (Nov 2014) has tripled in a year and has doubled since the August, 2014 quarter from 172 million. The dividend last quarter absorbed more then 80% of cash flow. I am assuming this quarter it will be over 100% of TRUE cash flow. Not the non-GAAP numbers that the hedge funds produce to mislead investors. Let's see how bad they adjust the numbers in order to meet lowered estimates. Who cares about lowering projections anyway. The fund manipulators will move the stock up to higher valuations regardless.

Walmart...Aldi. What does this have to do with the Abercrombie and Fitch Message board? Abercrombie and Fitch have been taking advantage of employees and store managers for years. There is a stack of law suits they have lost from refusing to pay store managers for all the hours they work to discriminating against ANYONE that did not fit the soft porn boy toy image that the former CEO insisted on. He used this company to line his pockets and have his boy toy fun. But any tie to Wal Mart or Aldi is not appropriate for this ANF stock board. The stock symbol for Wal Mart is WMT. See you over there.....

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • If average delivery times keep stretching out, clothing merchandise could be almost out of the season by the time it hits stores, unlike other industries which can sell the same products all year. So THREE strikes for ANF they are out. Out of season, out of touch, and out of favor with customers. When this stock begins to be priced fairly, it will come down hard. How it is holding it's current price with all the bad news, empty stores, overvaluation, stock DOWNGRADES is amazing. That will just make the fall of ANF harder.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • Expenses continue to go up. Stock compensation is a huge line item and is a significant part of this stocks manipulation. But the guidance should be reviewed again because the price of NILE is way overvalued. In addition to a huge adjustment down for 2015 sales Blue NILE as guided first quarter income down from 12 cents to 07 to 09 cents. that is a 25 to 42 percent reduction to profits for the next quarter. How is this stock holding at $ 30. NILE has become insignificant in the diamond ring market. FOR THE FULL YEAR 2015, Blue NILE reduced the full. That is a significant adjustment down to a company that issues misleading press releases bragging about sales growth. That is a 10 to 20% reduction in full year projections. And they keep issuing options and stock compensation and then buying it right back calling that sham a good program for stock holders. It is a way to liquidate the company cash into the hands of the insiders. This company is just a shell for a hedge fund game.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • Prior to its earnings announcement on February 10th, Blue NILE closed at 31.42. It missed badly on lowered earnings and missed on both the top and bottom line. Stock compensation (or pay offs and bribe expenses) were .04 per share. This is the stock they buy back to put money in the hands of insiders and friends of NILE. They missed by 5 cents. The stock initially began selling off and dropped to 26.59 on the terrible numbers, but AMAZINGLY recovered that day. Very odd. The next day it went up as high as 30.76. This is a stock that missed badly and revised the 2015 numbers down significantly. Notice it is very hard to find the 2015 revision numbers. They are intentionally being hid. I think it was about a 100 million reduction to full year sales for 2015. This is a significant miss and a very large guide down. But the stock has maintained it's outrageous price and valuation. I have always though this was a controlled trade manipulated stock. And for a company to guide down that significantly and then recover from a very bad miss.....there has to be fund manipulation. That is the reason for the outrageous stock compensation expenses of this company. This is a 16 to 18 dollar stock based on the severely lowered 2015 numbers but it has been manipulate here and then will be further played as the claim they will beat the 2015 numbers after adjusting them down 100 million and keep the stock price inflated on misleading headlines. Welcome to wall street.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • is this how we play this market now? Go absolutely nuts if a company meets lowered guidance and then run a stock up.....and then ignore it when they miss as badly as BLUE NILE did plus adjust down EVERYTHING going forward by significant amount? The reduction to sales for full year was HUGE. Yet after starting a sell off towards fair value, the stock price returned to its outrageous valuation and sky high PE. This is a NOTHING company. A website that lists other sellers overrated and over graded stones. It claims to be the largest seller of engagement rings but then again I am the King of Everything. This company has been in decline as quality is questioned and competition easily matches it prices and easily surpasses its customer experience. While it brags it does not have brick and mortar expenses it has a very expensive compensation and kick back cost that is disguised as stock buy backs. NILE hands out so many shares and options to officers and stock pumpers and then buys them back from insiders at inflated prices calling it a share buy back program. It is just a way to liquidate the company and put the cash flow in the pockets of the insiders .

  • This one deals with the weather. Here is the report of what retailers will be hit the hardest because of where there stores are located. ANF has a big presence in the North East because of that area's snooty and arrogant teen population. Double Dose of Snow Bodes Poorly For Northeast Traffic…TJX, Urban Outfitters, Vera Bradley (VRA), Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters (AEO), & Burlington Stores (BURL) [have the] highest Northeast exposure. On another note, went to a local mall on President's day and observed a steady stream of customers going into the well lit Forever 21 store. Abecrombie on the other hand was empty despite a big sale sign out front and in the shuttered windows. I, frankly, am beginning to question the sales numbers of this non-GAAP following hedge fund ponzie scheme.

Three downgrades PLUS all the negative indicators. Empty stores is the key. And you declare that a bottom was hit at 24 ? Funny. The funds put in a bounce so they can dump. ANF is selling at 49 % retail. A record low. At some point they will have to properly report margins with out all the non-GAPP adjustments. Definitely going to teens. Bankruptcy 2016.

OK.....Even if they do get out of some of the leases.....from these kind mall operators you speak of.....It is not going to bring the customers back to this brand in the remaining stores. Plus with the dollar being manipulated up foreigners are not buying the junk that ANF is pushing anymore. Jeffrie's fantasy boy world of soft porn advertising at store entrances, on shopping bags and billboards is old, and no longer hot with cool teens. I do not know where they hide the rents of the flagship stores. I have heard ....and only rumors....That the yearly rent on the empty store in Shanghai is 17 million a year. Don't know if that is true. But who care when you are doing non-GAAP accounting to beat lowered estimates.

  • The government funded Tesla through the purchase of Elon's rockets. He is a millionaire not because of his fantastic ego, but because NASA keeps buying his so, so rockets. That is what funded TESLA.....now the government is pushing this stock and hopes you will pay a ridiculous valuation so Elon can sell $100,000 cars to the masses. Good luck. This is a scam paid for by taxpayers.
