could be a nice day....
which I expect to happen in the next couple weeks for sure. FDA doesn't want to appear "hasty" or not being thorough, which I can't blame them for. It is after all their job. Present $500 million market cap is nothing compared to our peers, or intrinsic value. Patience just a little bit longer ladies and gents. I felt the same way on HALO's hold.
If you're short the next two weeks your going to get blown up-and might as well be wearing suicide belts.
All HALO had to do was add low molecular weight Heparin (blood thinner) to the protocol. All we will have to do most likely is avoid taking metal implant patients... Next week could mark a resumption of our journey to the promised land, but if not, the hold certainly will be lifted in December IMO.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
No everyone is cool. My brother sold at $16 or so on the way back down. He was in around $9-10, and actually pulled 100% out of the market when he sold ADXS. He's happy. We will rock in 2016, of that I'm sure.
BTW HALO was in the $6's during the hold and now trade at nearly $18. Actually traded up to about $23 or so a few months ago. Relative to HALO's market cap ( just like ADRO's mc ) we are soooo cheap right now....
lifted. IMO these thing usually take 2 -3 months to be resolved. We know it will be lifted soon and I expect the price to creep up beforehand. Because of this hold i now own more than I ever did on the first run up. IMHO we will trade well north of $40 in 2016. Happy Thanksgiving all.
I agree with this 100%. DOC is acting in our best interests and even with this deal are not immune to the need for cash. Canada is a bit player.
From the article:Anavex Life Sciences Corp. is also aware that beta-amyloid peptides are the root cause of AD symptoms. Rather than deal with the symptom though (which may continually resurface no matter how much they're treated), AVXL is going straight to the heart of the problem; its drug may circumvent the need to remove beta plaques from the brain in the first place... a removal that would never be complete anyway.
Recent research has verified that oxidative stress is a precursor to amyloid-beta plaques and tau (aka Neuro-Fibrillary Tangles or NFT). By protecting against oxidative stress in the first place, such a drug may help to prevent or slow Alzheimer's disease before it has a chance to develop.
To that end, Anavex Life Sciences has developed ANAVEX 2-73 - a therapy that jives with the description above, and one that just completed Phase I trials. The drug has shown great promise due to its efficacy in validated animal models, no toxicity to date in exhaustive this animal testing, and a mode of action that blunts endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, mitochondrial stress, and most importantly, staves off oxidative stress that could be the bigger underlying Alzheimer's.
Perhaps even more important to investors now, however, is that AVXL is starting to grab the attention of other investors, and getting bullish traction as a result. A downtrend that had plagued the stock for the bulk of 2011 has turned into an uptrend. More than that, the buying volume has started to perk up as of this week.
I predict new highs soon....classic sell the news action on earnings coupled with a bad market. However the fundies are too strong to be out of HALO, and people will buy back or get left in the dust
HALO could well be a mega-bio darling in the not too distant future. I'm loaded to the gills with it and also added 3k shares to my personal account on the dip. We are looking very, very, good imo
Sentiment: Strong Buy
HALO obviously, finally, succumbed to a little selling. generals & leaders are always the last to fall. Methinks we have bottomed for now anyways.
Oh I'm a believer in HALO... FOTD... Plan to let it ride indefinitely now as I own it in my IRA. The big institutional money that has flowed into HALO recently is impressive, and the picture is getting clearer.
For the record after doing my DD and listening to NWBO's recent ASCO presentations, I really didn't make that big of a bet ... just 94K shares
Read the last part of that post again FOTD: "Will continue to follow and reevaluate. Tomorrow I could feel differently and buy it all back!!!! LOL. You know me by now....worse than a woman on changing my mind!!! " That, my friend is precisely what I did 4 days later. Presently hold 67K shares of HALO, more than I ever have (my largest position in fact).
I will tell you this also FOTD, I got you into ADXS when they were low on cash and a raise (actually 2 of them) wasn't a big deal - it won't be for NWBO now either. If you don't listen to those presentations I posted, well, hey, I gave them to you. The data they released pre ASCO was nothing short of a smoking gun - just compare their chart with ADXS over the last 6 weeks. Therein lies the answer. I am not dissing ADXS, however they face a very formidable adversary in NWBO....I will own them both but more heavily weighted to NWBO.
Good luck to us both. Sudn
