boy are you a johnny come lately or what? no doubt.....I've been a long suffering jaded long for a year here and those on this board that have been here longer than 48 hours know that so I don't need to cover....so indeed get a life.
and then if they actually have some growth plans two years down the line, that would be nice too. Anyway, if whole sector does well, CLF will get sucked into the rally anyway.
yeah but share price cut 1/3 in six months...Einhorn says it best, when a stock loses 50% of it's value it needs to appreciate 100% just to get back even...when you look at in percentages both ways it is sobering.
Hate to be a downer but compared to the basic materials and mining sector, CLF is looking weak, but then again we did have a nice 12% run up yesterday.
Check out FCX, CCJ, even X....all outperforming CLF by a long shot. Only PM miners underperforming CLF. Shame....I long for the days of those $1 pops
earnings are next week, man, I really sold too early, but who knows, I've been burned so many times getting greedy waiting for a top when it all of a sudden sells off for no reason, I'm better off just selling at self-imposed price points ...no one ever went broke taking a profit. What a whopper of a day for FCX. though...dang.
certainly the whole sector is downtrodden and a lot of these names went into way too much debt when prices were high, they didn't save for rainy day and the market shat on them for it for good reason. I think there is a lot of pre-earnings hype starting right now that will correct after earnings no matter how bad/good they are, you see that lot, best not to hold through earnings and sell just before. I just got into FCX since it was low, thought copper would bounce and figured it was a good copper play, but it's got too much other stuff going on so maybe SCCO is a better copper play. On the sidelines for now.
maybe too early to sell but I'm not willing to hold through earnings, and besides, made a bundle off selling covered calls at $20 last few months....I'll be back if it corrects to the downside after earnings, GLTA
that's a disaster for the entire Asia Pac Iron Ore biz...which is exactly why it wont happen.
I will sell some calls at $8, and if the price gets there, you can buy them and then exercise on me. Deal?
