With all due respect, that would be like saying AAPL was a significantly better buy this past July, when you imply you were buying, than it was back in 2001, when I was buying b/c my wife's cousin was raving about what they were building there - he's a plastics guy..hated much about the job while he was there, but never waivered that the iPod was going to be something special...had no clue how right he'd be, or what the next generation(s) in that portfolio was bring.
While I can feel your pain, here - wish I didn't - I hear the same level of excitement in our local medical community regarding CLDX. Like AAPL 15 years ago, CLDX is a bit of a moonshot. I'm okay with taking my chances if there is any chance the world finds something great here.
I haven't owned any share in AFFX since my GSK days over a decade ago. Nice to see an old name hit the news. I'm quite sure, we will see many more bios bought up in the coming months, particularly with so many now on sale. CLDX remains my favorite.
