The Final Nail in the Coffin

And I absolutely assure you that there are many .'NUT JOBS' in the military services.

You don't have to assure me I know, but those people are new to the military way of life where as E-4, NCO on up have been around for a while and have EARNED those stripes and are much more stable an in some cases lifers. I was a crew chief working on Aircraft Control and Warning Radar with Identification Friend or Foe, UPX-14 and ECM, Electronic Counter Measures, all Secret and Top Secret at the time in 1960's. The Crew Chief should have been armed just for security of the equipment but in 1965 we didn't have people crashing the gate and shooting up the place.
When I was station on and AFS in Montana we had more private guns in the barracks for hunting. We were suppose to check them in at the AP Gate but since we were Remote in Opheim Montana they were more lax. We were fine with 80% of us having private guns in the barracks with no problems.
Maybe the Air Force has a better class of people ! JUST KIDDING !

  • We need a clear picture of EVERYTHING not just the spin. Some analysts still have this a #2 Buy or Outperform (Zacks for one but their are others.)
After 1007hrs Friday the stock was FLAT all day by a few cents. Somebody was controlling the PPS for some purpose.
My bet is the stock will go up Monday on some action taken on the company.

If you have to hope for a war to profit from your stock, you're in the wrong stock

He didn't say he was hoping for a War he said all it would take is a war in the Middle East and he's RIGHT ! With those NUT JOBS taking off the heads of the innocent, somebody has to step in and stop it, the sooner the better! It's got to stop now over there or we will see it here.

Comment: As an Air Force Vet ( ours), all E-4's and above should be allowed to carry sidearms on a AFB or AFS

No one ever does a press release on a shelf registration because investors are never happy about this kind of dilution

Yes they do and they usually do it when the PPS is at the top of a good run so the pain doesn't hurt to bad.
I'am sorry that I have to harp on this after such a great earnings report but it could turn out to be a good thing if the money is used to buy up some weak assets of Oil companies in trouble for cash like lnco which just dropped their 22% dividend and caused their PPS to drop over 35% in 2 days and is still a good company with some buy ratings and some sell and many Holds, Zacks #2 Buy.

FYI LPI just raised their earnings revision posted today on Yahoo with ER next week. Could be a good report like EPE was.

  • I guess they think over 35% DILUTION is not important since it's no cash out of their pocket. I call this BIG NEWS but for the original MB poster that found it, most shareholders still don't know about it and the Dilution % will go up as the PPS goes down.
I'am sure mgmt. expected that after a great Earnings Report the PPS would shoot up over a buck and it did interday to $9.66
Seems like all over the Oil stocks shareholder not only have to deal with falling PPS, Dividend cuts, and offerings. I was so happy with some good news for a change with EPE Earnings Report and 2 days later they take it all away and more. We are lower than we were before Earnings.

It's a DONE DEAL ! You will have an offering of NEW PRINTED SHARES. They can do it in 1 offering total 750M or several for a total of 750M but most companies do it all at once and within a month. The purpose of a shelf offering is to raise cash FAST for a merger or other reasons and they have 3 years to use it but it never takes that long. It's never a good thing for DILUTION short term but if the funds are used in a wise way it can be good for the stock long term.

Form S-3 filed yesterday, Dilution coming.

    by yomattus Jul 31, 2015 4:30 PM

Read the transcript. The S-3 is not for any issuance in the near future but to be available as is common practice.
Anyone selling on that alone is foolish. Perhaps oil at 46 is more of an expalnation

That is a shelf reg. and it ALWAYS is followed by a big sell-off in the stock. It's a slow death because it allows the company to print NEW SHARES to the total of 750M at ANY TIME, in ANY amount up to $750M in the next 3 years. All companies I have held sell the NEW SHARES within 3 months and some also sell insider share holdings and only those shares are not Dilution because they already exist.
This is bad news for shareholders because it puts pressure on the stock for weeks with the knowledge that you shares will be diluted you just never know when.

Stocks don't drop Over 40% without Legal Action . My guess at least 10 lawsuit messages next week.

  • superbowl6wins by superbowl6wins Jul 31, 2015 4:39 PM Flag

From $3.87 @ 1007hrs. to $3.90 @ 1600hrs. The chart was Flat on heavy Volume.
I think someone was Manipulating the PPS at that level and we should see the results of that effort next week. Wouldn't be surprise if we see an upgrade or a buy-out.

That sounds like a very smart move. Lets see how many other "shorts" may cover the last hour ! You know this "dead cat" will have a bounce, they always do the question is when.

I think I'll hold till the next up day for oil.

At this point it's not about up or down days, it's about the "shorts" and the hedge funds making you do what THEY WANT you to do. Run that PPS down on PANIC, RUMORS, NEGATIVE SPIN and anything they can use to make you sell cheap shares as they continue to load up. Then when the PPS goes up it will go up big time with upgrades, rumors and panic that the train is leaving buy, buy, buy and run the stock pass fair value so the shorts can sell and short all over again. And the cycle continues.

look at the futures for 2016 and 2017 and 2018.... all in the $50's...

The futures mean NOTHING, just as they met nothing when Oil was cut in half. You could have war in the middle east, you could have change in policy on production, you could have an increase in usage.
Saudi Arabia said they are going to cut production after next month. The drawn down is finally beginning as the EIA Report of 4.2M barrels reduction and they say once it starts it will snowball, we will see next week if it continues.

WARNING: Don't buy this stock yet ...learn why

LNCO will probably plunge under $2.00,

LNCO will never go that low without a buy-out. The company is worth over $9 Book and the debt isn't that bad with a 2 PPS it would be gone. The notes that were paid off at a 35% discount WAS NOT discounted because investors were sick of the company and they wanted out as someone posted it was prorated for cashing in early on the notes. It's all in the SEC filings which can be found on their web s I t e .
Also LNCO is hiring for 15 jobs in 12 positions. LNCO is doing just fine and without the load of paying a dividend now the company is stronger. LNCO was founded in 2012 and they have some growing pains as they add other companies to the mix.

  • My premium Zacks is updated at midnight and LNCO is still #2 Buy. When they rank a stock only estimated earnings revisions are a factor, dividends do not play a role.

    Worst Stock I ever bought!

Real POS company. To think I debated buying SDRL...its only fallen 30%!

You might look at CPE which is a very steady stock and great company.

  • superbowl6wins by superbowl6wins Jul 30, 2015 3:01 PM Flag

That reflects a good ASSET vs LIABILITIES ratio.
BV is more than 2X the PPS !

  • Seems to me the major cause of the sell-off today is the loss of the 21.16% Dividend and not the production gains this quarter and for the year with a 6% saving in operational expenses and reduction of Debt.
Like it or not the loss of the dividend may lead to an increase in the PPS down the road. Too many people are hung up on the dividend, the health of the company must come first and when that happens everything else will fall in place. It will all equal out in the long run.

  • superbowl6wins by superbowl6wins Jul 30, 2015 11:13 AM Flag

One of the KEY factors in buying a stock that is falling is to wait for the volume to slow down so you don't catch a falling knife. If you look at a chart of the volume for LNCO you will see the Volume has really slowed down to less than a quarter of what is was the first hour of trading. Looks like most of the people that wanted out are out. Time to buy.

Complete overreaction, today's news isn't bad, imo

    YOU GOT IT !
And I might add people are trading on EMOTION n following the herd.
The release was not that bad at all.

  • superbowl6wins by superbowl6wins Jul 30, 2015 10:23 AM Flag

I doubled down under $5 and now I have 2 shares, just kidding. I really didn't think the dividends were that important, I guess that's because I trade a lot. I think they handled it the right way giving people a notice and not just throw a "stock offering" at us which everybody loses and you NEVER know it's coming.
I don't follow the herd and I don't trade on emotion. I think at these levels you can make money on a good company that seems to be run by good mgmt. Remember these are bad times in Oil and I think they are making the right moves to be around tomorrow. Good Luck !
