Mangy thank you for that ASCO Tefferi update. That's only about a month and a half away.

Is that hedge fund loonies from Red Mountain throwing a big hissy fit and selling. I hope so as these alleged hedge fund gangsters with no knowledge about the robotics industry have No right to force their way onto the IRBT board. They wanted to cut RD pad their packets from a short term gain and then probably leave shortly after that in typical bean counter fashion.

Let them sell their 5 percent and let us get on with this amazing company.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Mangy thanks I had missed Leviek's commentary. Geron has evolved and adapted to the changing market and political climate and thanks to IMET is now in a position enviable to any small biotech without a product on the market yet. I think Scarlett's past experience dealing with J&J did help some in forming the licensing deal but the Mayo data was the most important factor.

In the world of personal investing the glacial pace of clinical trials leads to much of the frustration and downright lunacy displayed here on this board.

Updates to the clinical trial pages continue to show increases in the number of sites recruiting. Once results start to come out and are consistent with Mayo then I think we will see and almost exponential increase in the PPS. Investing in and supporting a company battling cancer is an exciting and worthwhile endeavor. Although management does bear watching, I think most of the negative posts here are totally disingenuous and self-serving.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

True unlike most like for example VW that just hide their mistakes, despite the fact that harm is done.

  • Is it possible that if/when the new trials show the same results Jansen/Geron could stop these trials early due to benefit. The answer is yes!

A couple of years ago a pivotal trial was stopped early due to benefit. This trial showed that idelalisib used in combination with rituximab (Rituxan, Genentech/Roche) offered an option for patients with relapsed CLL who were unable to tolerate chemotherapy.

Black, I don't know about Mutt but think, the PPS is related to the sell on the news syndrome coupled with the reality that most traders have absolutely NO idea what these two studies actually mean. " AML cell viability knocked down to 1% using imet in combo" is astounding.

    Mutt who is Phil ?

In the last CC Scarlett alluded to the possibility that additional Janssen trials could be forthcoming.

Looking at this Board I'd say 98% of the rabble here are on the wrong side of the trade. Short Bag holders bend over a little lower again today.

"Just so we’re perfectly clear on this data: Every other luxury sedan saw falling sales while Tesla saw a 51% increase. Tesla’s Model S is now the single best selling large luxury vehicle and now owns more than 25% of the that market"

Most shorts are probably still listening to cassettes or more likely their eight-track cartridges as they trumpet their mistaken beliefs regarding Tesla.

Bulb with a generalization like that of course you are correct. But!

Consider that the model S has outsold, by far, ANY other "single" comparative luxury sedan in its class. (Notice the word "single") Consider the pre-orders and orders for the Model X and the X promises to dominate the luxury SUV market and probably Will outsell all other luxury SUVs by the end of this year or early next. Then consider the soon to be shown Model 3 which will be a huge factor soon.

So yes Tesla is going to be and already is for the Model S, a Dominant technology in directly comparative classes of vehicle. The change over from ICE to Electric will be so sudden and swift it will leave the luddites here in complete confusion especially when Tesla turns a profit at the end of next year. Most here are dwelling lamely on the past.

The cassette was the dominate form of music media for years and when the CD came out it was mocked by nearly everyone and the general incorrect belief was that is would take decades to replace the cassette. But it happened in just a couple of years and now almost no one used a cassette to play music.

All of you ICE and oil slick drama queens might take a lesson from history because this is going to happen to the auto industry in the immediate future.

Rattle good points. Despite the promise of IMET as one of the premier drugs of the decade, one of the Huge past missteps of Geron, prior to Scarlett and in the time Okarma, was the selling of the IP for Telomerase activation for a mere 2 Million. Telomerase activation goes way-way beyond just TA-65 and age related products, skin cream etc.,.

Just check the literature for Telomerase activation and you will find hundreds of articles. If Geron still had Telomerase Activation we would have a SECOND PIPELINE and there would be No need to search about for another drug after IMET is proven in the clinical trials. Here is a short list of some of the articles but there are hundreds. The past BOD and Okarma were total idiots for selling Telomerase activation IP

::Telomerase activation by the E6 gene product of human papillomavirus type 16

::Telomerase activation by hTRT in human normal fibroblasts and hepatocellular carcinomas

::Cutting edge: telomerase activation in human T lymphocytes does not require increase in telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) protein but is associated with …

::Telomere lengthening and telomerase activation during human B cell differentiation

::Human telomerase activation requires two independent interactions between telomerase RNA and telomerase reverse transcriptase

Telomerase activation in normal B lymphocytes and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas

Telomere dynamics and telomerase activation in tumor progression: prospects for prognosis and therapy.

Evidence for UV-associated activation of telomerase in human skin

To be honest I would have to answer I hope so but I have no idea. Collaboration on the trials could mean anything from rubberstamping anything Janssen says to Geron's active participation in 50% of the planning and work. Besides executive management who is left at Geron?

Fossilfoo,t I would think that since Geron and Janssen coordinate the clinical trials so there would be much to do since there are, between the two trials, hundreds of medical doctors, nurses, and support people to train, paper work for the FDA and all the other countries equivalents to the FDA, to fill out in multiple languages and coordinating the manufacture and distribution of Imetelstat. These things just don't happen by themselves.
