Confirmation they did new business, wrapped some Water Bonds for Detriot and reduced their overall exposure.

Two things... New Detroit Water Bonds Issued and AGO and MBIA (National) insured. Looks like first new piece of business

Large Hedge Funds are buying up Prepa (Puerto Rico Elec). The Hedge Funds will lend money to Prepa to convert the Elec Plant from oil to gas. The bonds they bought for $.40 to $.50 on a dollar will go up in value and they will make a couple of billion. MBIA loss will be minimal.

This company still has a way to go but is on a better path. If they transfer the $200 million from National to Corp (Dividend) they will have some funds to buy back stock. Looking at the volume it appears as shorters might be moving to other targets.

SYCRF is interesting.. look at Ihub board for more info. They are mediating with Detroit. If something comes out it could make a nice bounce.

    Sentiment: Buy

Hose! Good points! The Ihub is a great board and should be read by all investors in the Insurance Muni world. SYCRF is going to do very well once it moves past Detriot (hopefully before the 14th).

MBI has value too. It has to settle up with the Surplus Notes folks to create some value in the Structured Unit. It is oversold at this level. Buy now and sell at 12.

SYCRF has the potential of being a 5 bagger where MBIA maybe a 2.

This is the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. They have 8.6 billion in debt that they want to restructure. Mbia has insured payment on about 1.5 billion. This is why there is downward pressure on the stock.
