LOL, just realized that for the most part. The bashers and pumpers get along here. Never seen that before. A breath of fresh air really. I think this guy mack is really short, he just think's it funny to play dumb as a long. Only guy that seems to get flak around here is bronx, which is well deserved since he acts like everyone here is bunch of idiots. When 95% of the people here dont deserve that assessment. Longs are smart because this stocks potential is incredible, shorts are smart because they are making money in the short term, and have a better understanding of macro-economic events. Basically most cordial board on yahoo, and I know that's not saying much =).
Happy trading, and a good weekend to all.

Though this stock kinda confuses me, It runs with EBAY, YHOO, and AMZN, or a combination of the 3. But other times will run with $IIX, market makers toss a coin at the open? LOL.

People that think it's gambling amuse me, ive made money every year 20% or more on my investments. For three years now, how is that gambling? To some yes, to others it's not. If you can read the markets mind that helps alot, the board is rank with fear atm. Also knowing when to get the hell out, ever notice you are up on a trade atleast for a few cents or more, 99% of the time, but did you take the oppurtunity to cash out? In fact if people would have aligned with my market recommendations going back for months/years ,they would have made a killing.

But if the market continues to come out with bad news, you should also be be dumping. When you got motley fool saying you should hold your AKAM shares, and Forbes pumping tech as well. That means RUN! Motley especially is greater fool periodical like street.com. If they like it, probably a good short. TIVO and NFLX were both "hidden gems", I made a killing shorting both.

This stock sucks so bad I wouldnt be getting excited about an impending short squeeze here.
Even the crook MM"s here cant hold this up anymore. Ya, but in the the past hell you could make more money going long on this POS. Hence why I stopped trading it. But I learned a valuable lesson, stocks like this you wait till they get overbought, load up on puts, kick back and relax. Seems like this sadistic market loves to take crap like this to the moon, and play as many games as possible. I wouldnt doubt they had the whole float short, the way it was trading.

    CSCO Beats Estimates!

Actually some do know what's going to happen. Like myself. This market will continue down. CSCO had nice earnings but outlook was weak. Even stated that the other CEO's he spoke to said they are cautious in this enviroment. I also expected some short covering today preceding greenspan, and also I expected the old geezer to shine optimistic on this ailing economy. Since bush is the one paying him. With CSCO warning on outlook and greenspan basically pumping the market. This market is heading south tomorow, that gap in the NAZ was very real, it wont be filled anytime soon.

Im sorry, Ill let you get back to earning your 5 cents a post so you can buy your next crack rocks.

Think you need to take some time away from this board, freak. You are even attacking the shorts for absolutely no reason.

"It's obsolete technology, the only companies that will make it in DVR's. Are the ones who can profit from selling the recorder alone with no subscription"

That doesnt mean that none are making money now. Or does it in stocky yahoo message board land? NFLX just lost over 50% in about a week, and will lose more. How is that not a good short fool? Stick to ranting on and on about TIVO to the clueless longs, the shorts know a hell of alot more about this market then yourself. It was trading 2B+ market cap with almost no ability to turn a profit, because people that enjoy NFLX rent 5+ movies a week. For 30 bucks a month, that doesnt even cover advertising and the high cost of mailing them back and forth. Then competition came which is undercutting them and will continue to do so, add that they have a much larger stockpile of DVD's. Customers wont get offended by the long waits they had to deal with at NFLX. So churn is up alot as well. So in a nutshell NFLX was a better short then TIVO when it was at 38 and maybe even at 16. Get a real job.

That's what I stated. The only companies that will profit are the ones who can sell the box alone and still turn a buck. Which are those that you listed, they are larger companies, hence lower operating costs. Eventually sub plans will be obsolete. I compare this to NFLX in alot of ways. First to market, but will finish last.

It's obsolete technology, the only companies that will make it in DVR's. Are the ones who can profit from selling the recorder alone with no subscription. Technology will advance to fast for people to even think of paying to store video on a HD, which can be done for free now on your PC. After Direct TV left, all that's left are the bagholders and the buzzards.

Stock may be a paid basher, but he's right, ive been short right along with his clients for some time. Had these longs listened to him they would have saved some serious losses, which I doubt they are enjoying ATM. This stock is done for. Who you should be mad at is these pricks from motley fool, who continually pump TIVO as the share price deteriorates 10% a day. It's hilarious to me how they attempt to put a positive light on TIVO no matter how bad the PPS tanks. Down 10% in slighty up market, and they still have good things to say. Comedy.

Atleast he is good at what he does, you are so obviosly a paid pumper, it's sad. It's people like you that have ruined this once great county. Anything for a buck right? Only thing id be doing at 15.57 is covering.

LMAO, dont say I didnt warn you. Remember me the guy you put on ignore because you are too blind to see the truth? EVERYTHING I said would happen, happened. Yet longs like you ridiculed me like I was an idiot. Who's the idiot now? Im making a killing off this market action.

Difference is he's not some dumbass pumping this stock because he is losing his ass. He's also not like chapel some balding, fat freak so evil that his job is to lie to average investors, so hopefully he can scam them out of hard earned money. If these retarded longs had an IQ over 100 they could have saved some cash listening to him.

You seem good at TA, but recommending ATVI as a short, signals that your fundamental analysis is weak. They recently launched Doom 3, Shrek 2, and Spiderman 2, they are all coveted by gamers to the extreme. These issues put to shame anything coming out ATM. So if this market shows any strength, activision will rally. Besides that, video games is still a very profitable industry with breakneck growth ahead of it. Though I do agree with forward market action, who the hell is even buying?

  • surrational_investor by surrational_investor Aug 4, 2004 5:01 PM Flag

I expected the decline in the markets in the AM and then the slight bounce into the close. What I didnt expect is this asshole market maker inflating PPS in pre-market with a few 100k shares (which he reshorted) . That's all it takes to ruin a shorts gains for the day, as well deserved as they may be.
