Here is what Dow Jones tape said :
4:11 PM ET eMagin Backs Guidance
    4:04 PM ET eMagin 3Q Rev $5.7M
    4:04 PM ET eMagin 3Q Loss $1.04M
    4:01 PM ET eMagin 3Q Loss/Shr 4c

So we'll see how market reacts . We have 1 analyst covering EMAN (according to eTrade) and estimates were (0.04) per share. So we matched the expectation and confirmed the guidance. I hope for improvement for next Q but even without improvements we are safe for next 3 quarters.

Maintenance was expected to have impact on revenue.
I was worried about cash on hand and it seems to be ok.
I'll wait for official 8K form before I can process the numbers.

    So far so good.
Looks like we are coming out of the dive.
Let's see what they say on the call - IBM facility question, and would we produce IHMD in East FK or somewhere outside . and many more .

    - they just got some cash, maybe they want to expand beyond their reality.
Although, I am too old for sniffing that glue, I prefer some classic names :
Tristan and Isolde - for 2 versions (male/female or different resolution )
Or just 'Isolde' - kind of sneaking "OLED" into the name , most VR gamers are dyslexics anyway.
"Lorelei" is another romantic one and easy to pronounce and remember .
If it's sounds too gentle then a more heroic name could be
    ""he Nibelungs" or "The Valkyrie"

    Outsource them.
I know a guy in Russia who will be twice more popular here than Obama for half the price.
    Compare this quote :
"If you want to become an Islamic radical and have yourself circumcised, I invite you to come to Moscow… I would recommend that he who does the surgery does it so you’ll have nothing growing back afterward.” (spoken in 2009) to this one :
"we will continue to draw on our substantial counterterrorism capabilities to prevent ISIL attacks. Working with our partners, we will redouble our efforts to cut off its funding; improve our intelligence; strengthen our defenses; counter its warped ideology; and stem the flow of foreign fighters into – and out of – the Middle East. And in two weeks, I will chair a meeting of the UN Security Council to further mobilize the international community around this effort."
Who, do you think, will be more popular in US? Although, it's probably unfair question, in current state of affairs it's hard to find a politician less popular than Obama.
I am not really Putin supporter , he is still a KGB man for me, but give him a credit - the guy knows how to please the crowd (which is one more reason for me to despise him)
Of course, American tradition would be to outsource to China anyway.

Ok. It looks like discussion is getting more civilized.
Here is my explanation for "get lost" - you didn't just ask for better interaction with the street.. You took "we , the concerned shareholders" stand and I think you're not in position express the opinion of majority shareholders on this message board, I am not even talking about people who left to better social media places. This is why you got so much criticism, not because you want better communication. And to me you sounded like you want management to react on every short attack in press which is ridiculous.
You don't seem to be short to me, I've seen many of them here. If you're heavily invested in OLED take an approach that Andy Chessboard uses - he loads more on dip, sells trading shares on highs and writes covered calls.
When you say "you need people in the field educating retailers, going to various electronic shows," it shows that you don't really understand the OLED business model. Do you know who makes touch screen sensor on your smart phone ? How about battery or memory chip that glued to CPU or that glue that hold pieces together inside? Nobody cares about these things, iPhone is sold as an iPhone, not as a set of components. There are several events where UDC goes and does presentations - eg.Display Week. They get awards there too. They establish B2B relationships there. Why waste money and resources on educating general population about technology if you're not making final product. Company sells host and emitter materials to Samsung (and a license) and Samsung modifies the mix to their needs when they make AMOLED screens. UDC cannot demand "OLED inside" logo because they don't even make final mix. If Samsung decides to call their displays RetinaBright and drop OLED from the name they have full rights to do it.
Have you been here when people were thinking that OLED is just Organic LED and compare UDC performance with CREE one? Things moved long way since.

In 2 days there will be a conference call and management very professionally will tell all interested parties about state of business. Analyst from CG expressed his opinion and his interpretation of the facts. It's not his first time, and probably not the last. He WAS brushed off and put in his place at least on one of previous conference calls. I think, it was when stock symbol was still PANL. Do you remember that, or it was before your time ? Yeah. stock dropped about 10% in two days and will most likely drop tomorrow and Thursday. Can't handle it - invest in TSLA. Simple tweet makes you happy - invest in TSLA. This is different company and different management.

    Get lost.
The moment UDC Directors start doing stock price management activities is the moment any serious investor should run away. If you really have something to say to UDC management there is Annual Shareholder Meeting and you're welcome to come there .

    Interesting options play today:
Pretty much at the opening there were 1000 November 28 puts sold.
Overall today's volume of 28 Nov puts was 1,248 and previous day open interest was only 179
So these are mostly new contracts written .
So it could be that someone who shorted the stock is now selling puts which is safe bearish strategy - either hoping to cover short position when stock drops below 28 and puts will be in the money or keep the premium is stock stays above 28. (it's kind of opposite twin of buying stock and selling covered calls strategy ).
Or it could be selling naked puts in hopes that stock won't go down and option writer would just keep the premium.
The price of 28 Nov puts is about 1.20, so it's around 120k in play and it would be profitable if stock stays above 26.80. I think it was shorting stock and selling puts strategy - it was about time when OLED dropped from 31 to 29.50 (morning short attack) and the volume was above 100k which is needed for writing 1000 covered puts.
As for panelized complain about Nov 30 puts - I don't see anything special about them. The high open interest is there since Oct 7. So it was just 466 trades there today which is less than 10% of OI.
Another post was about 33 Nov Calls - I am not sure about those , you'd need almost 20% run up to get there and although OLED is known for its wild rides, still it's seems a far shot for less than 3 weeks time.
Let see how it will go over earnings.Today was rather high volume day and a quite substantial drop - some gap to fill in post earnings trades.
Being burned in Nov 2012 earnings I would not go into it now. I'd rather wait until dust from earnings settle down and get into play for upcoming CES 2015.

    Well, good luck you there.
ETFs (just IMO) are the just big scam from financial institutions. They always devise some ways to screw little guys - "binary options" , "mini options" etc.
You're missing the run up in FCEL, btw, you were in it too, right ? And I am not sure if you were in VUZI but it has some good load under it now, watch it coming back to Nasdaq in 6-9 months.

    Remember eMagin Z800 3DVisor ?
It had 899.00 list price. While it'd discontinued now you can still buy a used one on ebay o amazon.
I got BH photo catalog over weekend and there I found
Zeiss Cinemizer OLED Glasses (for about 728) plus set of different accessories
Sony Personal 3D Viewer (for 998)

So Gary was right on developing Z800 - there is a market for those things and the price is/was right.
He was wrong about betting company business on it. I doubt that Sony or Zeiss make profit on these VR glasses. They are big companies who can afford to probe market with new revolutionary devices.
And how Andrew is doing in comparison ? Well, I think he was right about jumping off EVF market
There are 11 EVFs listed in BH catalog and 9 of them are LCD. Only 2 are OLED and both are from Sony.
Sony OLED Electronic Viewfinder for Select NEX Cameras - 237
    Sony FDA-EVM1K Electronic Viewfinder - 448
They are probably not selling well either. From what I read on the photo forums people prefer tilted LCD screen more than near eye viewfinder. And Andrew was not going for final product as well - spare for marketing and support cost, just getting the profit from selling OLED to EVF manufacturers.
Would be fun to find out from BH how many EVFs are actually sold.
