There is one SuperSession dedicated to Augmented Reality devices.
I expect actually more of Oculus Rift type gadgets (VR) than GoogleGlass (AR) to be on CES.
Just because it's easier to make and all you need to demo is some FPS game.
Well, Andrew seems to be correct that 2015 will be the year of wearable tech and let's see if eMagin makes it this time.
I played with Fujifilm X-T1 and X-E2 cameras in the store - EVF in X-E2 is nice and the one in X-T1 is just awesome. Too bad eMagin dropped out of EVF market.
It's December OpEx week - stock manipulators like Chardan are coming out with upgrades and downgrades. I remember how in case of HIMX they would publish upgrades a day before earning report. How any respected analyst can come out with opinion a day before critical financial data is released ?!
" My price target is a little higher" - well, '4 stumps' is rather confusing price target for most people . I think you should start with "Overweight".
So you shorted at 102.20 and covered at 98
A whooping 4% return - wow, unbelievable, how did you do it, totally awesome.
Now quickly to Walmart while they still run 25% off on underwear - it's like double whammy .
You make your mom proud .
3 days of Dow falling then dead cat bounce and now the continuation of downtrend
I am not expecting market recovery until January - down and sideways for next 2 weeks.
Microcaps (EMAN, VUZI, KOPN) are holding so far because all concerns are with big names at the moment.
IBM fall through 160 support and still has RSI in 30s - there is some more room to go down .
Waiting on AAPL to get under 110
Windows Phone is a goner. Microsoft has a better chance to make their tablets enterprise commodity.
There is "iPhone , Android and everyone else". I read interview with Blackberry developer who said that you just don't want to be #3 in mobile market. People develop apps for iPhone first, then they start porting it to Android and Android platform is so vast and diverse that they consider porting done when they cover about 80% of Android devices.
There is no apps for Windows Phone.
And to make my point better and bring discussion to somewhat closer to HIMX - take a look on Kopin (HIMX competitor) . They first made their near-eye display system for Windows Mobile. That was about a year or more ago - I don't know if they made it to different platforms at all , I am not really following KOPN. Not wise decision for company burning through cash .
Yes ! and "we are not going to be end seller" , so it's no z800 disaster , no marketing waste etc.
Here is what Dow Jones tape said :
4:11 PM ET eMagin Backs Guidance
4:04 PM ET eMagin 3Q Rev $5.7M
4:04 PM ET eMagin 3Q Loss $1.04M
4:01 PM ET eMagin 3Q Loss/Shr 4c
So we'll see how market reacts . We have 1 analyst covering EMAN (according to eTrade) and estimates were (0.04) per share. So we matched the expectation and confirmed the guidance. I hope for improvement for next Q but even without improvements we are safe for next 3 quarters.
Maintenance was expected to have impact on revenue.
I was worried about cash on hand and it seems to be ok.
I'll wait for official 8K form before I can process the numbers.
So far so good.
Looks like we are coming out of the dive.
Let's see what they say on the call - IBM facility question, and would we produce IHMD in East FK or somewhere outside . and many more .
When is VUZI's earnings ?
A year ago it was Nov 14 , this year I see a lot of PRs coming out from Vuzix but not about date of the earning report.
- they just got some cash, maybe they want to expand beyond their reality.
Although, I am too old for sniffing that glue, I prefer some classic names :
Tristan and Isolde - for 2 versions (male/female or different resolution )
Or just 'Isolde' - kind of sneaking "OLED" into the name , most VR gamers are dyslexics anyway.
"Lorelei" is another romantic one and easy to pronounce and remember .
If it's sounds too gentle then a more heroic name could be
""he Nibelungs" or "The Valkyrie"
Too many PRs from Emagin ? Are you seriously complaining about it ?
You were hanging out in the wrong pub, pal. No more off-shore time for you.
