I'm very grateful for all the folks who contribute legitimate information! Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! Blair
Spok, I always take your advice to heart. The birthday fairy put some money in my piggy bank...is this a buy now or should I wait? Thanks so much!
I'm sure they knew what they'd be getting into when they chose the location, and at least the ever present critics can't say we are the sole source perverting the Singapore population. I assume today's red is the usual options Friday, but my spirits would be so lifted by a big jump on the road up sometime soon!
I don't know if he was thinking of politics particularly, but I do think he said it was up to the people to not vote in favor of those who would push Obamacare if they were not pleased. Sadly, I think he overestimated the far-farsightedness of the average voter, many of whom do not understand the big picture and just vote for the pretty candidate or, for whatever reason (and some do have altruistic , if misguided, motivation), for the one they think will hand out the free candy. I must admit that I blame Roberts for giving the administration the out by telling them they could call it a tax so that they could get away with implementing it. Their attorneys were arguing that it was not, and Roberts handed them a trump card on a silver platter. It will be interesting to see what history has to say about his action.
or did we not just have a blow out quarter with guidance that indicated we'd be tiptoeing in the tall cotton for some time to come? What is happening, and who'd would like to take a guess about when we'll be seeing green again???
I'm not selling based on analysts trying one to look more clever than another, or Levin, who has routinely sold shares and routinely been bashed for it. The guy is not a spring chicken so why should he not sell shares to bank now some of what he has gained while he is able to enjoy it in good health with those he loves? Also the boy genius and company have kicked up capital gains taxes for people in Leven's income range (not a problem I'll ever have!) and God alone knows how big that bite of capital gains may become in the future. I would not take his actions as any kind of indictment of LVS or its futures. When Mr. and Mrs. Adelson have a garage sale with theirs, then we know it is time to worry!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I hold my shares tighly...but days like this, especially one after another when news is good, are disturbing even though I know we remain on the march upward! It always helps to read all the knowledgeable and insightful support I find here...thanks! Blair
look at the other board. The guys are there, still with great input. This one has become obamawhomever's reason for being and a lib's political dream.
Indeed, yes. October numbers are solid as expected, Chinese economy is not falling into the abyss as some would have had us believe, and all seems tickity boo. It has got to be at least partly due to GS shenanigans that WYNN is green while LVS is red today. Annoying, but he who laughs last...
I had hoped that a great report from Wynn would cause us to rise, and the report seems to have been fine. I hear that Steve, in spite of the company beat, was neither pleasant nor optimistic about Las Vegas. I assume that we are getting undeserved fallout from that and all will be well.
