Legal title to trust assets belongs to the trustee - that is Bank of NY Mellon. Trustee shouldn't change when Whiting sells itself; should still be BNY. We as unit holders, are the Trust beneficiaries.
Now, "Whiting deducts from the gross oil and gas sales proceeds an overhead fee to operate those underlying properties for which Whiting has been designated as the operator. " A new operator could be more, or less, efficient than Whiting... which would have some impact on the Distro.
