my comments
I told you Microsoft will update Windows 8 taking into consideration customer feedback. (Start menu, option to log-in to desktop mode, realizable/grouping tiles, etc?
also we will see next wave of Windows 8 to support small screen devices like Ultrabooks mini, 7" tablets , small notebooks, small hybrids. & also cheaper OEM offerings to make those devices more affordable
make sense that PC sales dropped in last Qtr as retailers depleting their inventory anticipating the new wave of PC of all kind of form factors and various price points
Vote of confidence in the Windows platform by business, in the announced volume licensing numbers
Sentiment: Strong Buy

through the 31 years history of Logitech, there is always been a cheaper products like Creative Labs, Genius, even from Microsoft, but Logitech brand is strong, technology and reliability on top.
there will always people want cheaper products and those are not Logitech customers.
regarding growth story, i believe Logitech has new growing areas which is Tablets, Music, Ultrabooks, for Business, PC gaming, Communication accessories in FY14 started 1st of April 2013
while Mice, Keyboards, PC/M.Media Speakers will be re-birthed again after Haswell CPUS and new Gen of PC in Jan and followed bt the Windows 8.1 upgrade (code name Blue)
Emerging markets is also a big angle, go to Logitech China and check the online store, WOW, logitech products launched for China and not rest of the World and some just launched in China and not yet globally, PC in Emerging markets growing
I believe last fiscal year ended 32 March 2013 was the year of restructure, one thing i want is the selling of LifeSize and focusing on the Logitech brand in communication
Sentiment: Strong Buy
"Paul Otellini - President, Chief Executive Officer, Director
I had a third thing, Chris, which I think is as the OEMs start looking at new form factors that they can design around our new chips, Haswell in particular, and maybe Bay Trail, and Windows 8, enabling touch, the explosion in form factors and the competitiveness of that platform is going to be substantially different, at price points down into the $300 to $400 range enabling touch. We didn’t have that last year. So you go into the prime selling season with new products, new technologies, new form factors, and new capabilities that, up to now, were unapproachable price points."
"Stacy Smith - Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President
…And then we’ll see, because of Bay Trail coming into the marketplace, you’ll see touch-enabled thin notebooks with really good performance that are hitting kind of $300 price points. And then with our Android tablets, you’ll see things that are significantly, [hey, I have that]. So we’ll be participating across a broad range of compute devices as we get into the back half of this year"
"Paul Otellini - President, Chief Executive Officer, Director
We have a certain spec for ultrabooks, and that is the product that Stacy said is going to be centered at as low as $599 with some [diverse] SKUs to $499. If you look at touch-enabled Intel based notebooks that are ultrathin and light using non-core processors, those prices are going to be down to as low as $200 probably."

bits & pieces by CEO From Q&A link
"Going forward, we are primarily focused on PC peripherals and products for mobile devices. In PC peripherals, as I mentioned, our growth opportunities are in PC gaming, emerging markets, Unified Communications, and touch-based navigation. In mobility, the opportunities are numerous, but we're starting with keyboard cases for tablets and music devices that work with tablets and smartphones."
"Expect us to be faster with key innovation. And expect us to create some interesting things. We are very excited about where the computing world is going—and we intend to be exciting in that world."
